For people with multiple drives and SSDs, put the installation of the game on your Boot drive (the one with Windows on it). It might help stutter.
@@Vipexy It shouldn't generate the particles at all, say if you were put it to "1", then yes you wouldnt see skill effects and all kinds of FX that use particles. I don't recommend putting it this low, below 40 seems to hide some things like the grapple. It's only advised to play around with that number if you're absolutely trying to squeeze out more frames or any type of fight with lots of particles gives you single digit FPS. (particles in that case might be your biggest problem, but yout hardware). The Fullscreen setting actually boosted my fps from like 30-50 with stutters to 55-60 stable no stutters, and the other settings also work. W guide, W channel subbin rn

Finally someone mentions the xbox gamebar bs. Turning off gamebar is the equivalent of cutting off your own toe, yeah sure less blood(resources) are being used, but it's so minimal that you might as well keep it also thanks for the stuff for the engine ini. Helped a lot from 25 fps to a solid 50.

lets be real these guides are awesome especially for people who have systems barely reaching the minimum requirments but im sure some of you guys would be tempted to change more than what the vid says and let me tell you pls dont (a friend of mine started studying the .ini file to change more for more FPS, and yea pls dont do this) we dont know how much kuro will tolerate editing the gamefiles, as for this vid it doesnt really harm the game yet i think since its just forcing a lower quality in exchange for performance, but editing more than what you need could lead to a ban, since even if its not your intention, you could be suspected for cheating i know 60fps is coveted but reaching around 40 is enough, this is not a pvp game where fps matters more 30-40 should be more than enough that the game doesnt look laggy and should be responsive enough lastly if you still see some stuttering or sudden lag or fps drop, try searching your problems 1st, it could be a bug or optimization issues rather than your system (do this before you start tweaking more) in which case just send a feedback report since kuro should be expected to be flooded with similar feedbacks and knowing kuro, it should be fixed soon

I have a laptop with ryzen 5600h and 4gb 1650 first i was playing with 8gb of ram and the game lagged like hell even at low and could only run it at 45 fps even at low but after a ram upgrade to 16 gb it became very very good and now i am runnig it at 60 fps and ultra high
*I tried this myself but I see few people talking about it. If you use RTX and have DLSS support in the game, you should disable DLSS + Vsync + Reflex. This will greatly reduce the fps drop phenomenon. I tested it myself and it worked very well. Perhaps DLSS still doesn't work well with WW, turning it on just makes the game blurrier and stutterier. If you try it successfully, let me know.*
i have an advice for people with potato pc that is still using hdd, apparently playing WuWa from hdd can cause stuttering frequently even tho you already tweaking the file, but if you use at least 2.5" SATA ssd it can reduce the stuttering issue a lot, and obviously using faster ssd will help reduce the stuttering further. at least this work for me, from stuttering each 5 second to barely stuttering (only after teleporting for several times)

At the very start I had really bad stutters and I was having very low FPS on even very low settings while having an RTX 3050 laptop which mostly runs every game smoothly. Well now it runs fine again, maybe due to rendering issues when first starting the game.
About the occasionally, maybe repeatedly stutterings, i met the same problem. It's occured when starts moving, turning cam. I thought the game was just loading texture, object,...etc but it seems not. Even when I just stand still or doing something like open character info, menu, achivement,...so game can be loaded, yet nothing changes. I guess Kuro has made the game load the whole map instead in specific area you are standing, that why it causing lag because the map just continuously loaded. I wonder if kuro really wanted to compete against Hoyo
It's definitely something like this, I checked my Task Manager and my Disk usage was going up to 100% every time it stuttered, so it's accessing my drive for read/writing, but I don't know what exactly its doing. I assumed loading something, but it goes away after a while (at least it's not to the same degree as stutter) once I've ran around in the same area. Going to another area will cause a stutter. If I close the game and reopen it, itlll have to repeat the same process again.
@@soulzyx me too. it might be the disk but I have seen a few people said even put into ssd they still got lags. Maybe ram isn't enough? Mine is 8gb ram and I am going to upgrade to 20gb to see there is any different. This game just has much thing to do. They should use Unity instead and shouldn't release the game this soon. @@hinoka2911 I have put the game on my SSD, and I got the same exact problem. But I don't know, maybe some people's M2 drives are much faster than my SATA SSD. I'm using 16GB of system RAM, and the game is using 13GB. So I don't think RAM will change that, but if you want to upgrade I don't advise against that. I don't think the problem is even Unreal Engine 4, because I've played UE4 singleplayer games and they never had this much of an issue (I know Tower of Fantasy had shader stutter compilation, but I didn't play it enough to compare). If they used unity, the game would not look this good. I think it's just an issue with the developers who made the game, either poorly programming it, or not looking into the issue. And yeah, they did release it earlier, because the new Genshin update is coming out not too long in the future, so they didn't want to release at the same time. I think it didn't help that the people who got access to Closed beta testing like Content creators had high end gaming rigs. They probably did get feedback and couldn't fix it. It's hard to say they just don't care, but we're in a shit situation with performance it seems

I dont know what is happening in my device ,when i am in a domain like fighting dreamless or may other forgery domain game runs so smooth with no fps drops and to the point that it feels flawless, but the moment i exit that fighting domain game turns so laggy that i cant even recognise that as same game ....i dont know what is happening. 😑😕can you give some tips on that.
your system is too weak to handle the game, the reason why it's smooth in domains, it's because it isn't rendering anything in the game, it's just sky, no object, no characters, no geometry. When you leave, it has to render the game and that's why it's lag. The best things you can do is, apply the ini tweaks in my video (which will increase FPS), or get a new stronger system that can play the game that's not below the minimum requirements
What was the issue before you uninstalled it? If it was unplayabale for you before, I don't think an update is going to make it better for you. I would play another game in that case.
Yeah the ping thing has been happening to me too, after a while the game runs at around 25 to 35 fps which is playable enough. Really hope they fix things fast.
You have low FPS? Or it''s just the stuttering? I recommend putting the game on a SSD, once the shader compilation is already generated. I'm actually making a new video, where I post the difference. 80% of my stutter disappeared from moving it off my HDD.

I also have a question tho : From personal experience , i had awful frametimes in WuWa so to fix it i disabled VSync internally and i used the RivaTuner FPS Limiter to either 60 without the patch or 120 with the patch , would you say this is indeed helping or is it pointless?
I noticed it lowered the ""frame times" when using RTTS cap, but like, I noticed no difference in smoothness or stutter, so it might very well be placeabo. Since it's already 60 capped, I don't bother to cap it myself in Nvidia Control Panel on the driver level but i did notice that yes. If you feel like it's working for you, go for it.

Lost Ark uses Unreal Engine 3, so it can be modified. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a config file generated to edit, which looks to be deliberate by the developers. There's no .ini files, unless you can find them, I could not online. (if you can find engine.ini, or any ini in Unreal Engine games, they can be changed in the same way as this video, although not all settings may apply)
Thankyou so much! This helps a lot. There is one thing I've notice, I apply the limit particle amount and it seems that if affects jianxin's forte skill. Sometimes it automatically ends the skill without releasing the button. I'm not sure if this cause the problem but it only occurs after I use the tweaks.
Interesting, it could be that the skill requests more particles, it shouldnt "end" it though, it should keep going but it should be "invisible". I guess you can try putting it above 40, see what 50-60 does.
I don't have Jiangxin, so if you could tell me if that happens when you don't have the Particle lines in there, then I can probably double the amount 40=80 that I posted here on the desc/my pinned comment under your recommendation. Thank you.

for the particle settings in desc of video what would u set it to for a mid-tier pc im getting some fps drops in combat but i dont want to reduce the settings too much
I think 40 is the minimum, but people told me it hides the golden trail on the sensor gadget, so Idk if you'd want to touch it. It's experimental. It's better to leave it at default honestly, I was playing around it and unless you absolutely just hide particles, in places like Illusion realm I'm alwayss getting FPS drops especially from Mortefi Liberation. It's best just to play with it yourself to know my friend
With that system, you shouldnt have a problem with average FPS. Just the stuttering, that everyone is getting no matter their hardware sadly. The game seems to try to load something, like every texture/object in the area the first time you go there (even if you've been there in previous sessions), thats why I'm frozen for like 10-20 seconds when I login. I can see my HDD/SSD spike every time it does that. It's definitely a horrible way of the game to do it.
if you are having problems with that system, i think the problem might be your pc, cuz i have an i7700 with gtx 1650 super and i can run it with no problems at all

Yes, it's a problem with the game and how it renders. I don't think there is a setting you can change to fix that. Not sure if the developers can fix it, if it's just how it does whatever it processes in this way. I would hope they can, but I am not betting on it. It's pretty unacceptable. The huge freezing repeatedly goes away for me, and becomes way less the longer I've had the game running/been to the same areas. But if you reopen the game, the whole thing will have to do it all again.

I combined both these guides and it works really good
At the very start I had really bad stutters and I was having very low FPS on even very low settings while having an RTX 3050 laptop which mostly runs every game smoothly. Well now it runs fine again, maybe due to rendering issues when first starting the game.
About the occasionally, maybe repeatedly stutterings, i met the same problem. It's occured when starts moving, turning cam. I thought the game was just loading texture, object,...etc but it seems not. Even when I just stand still or doing something like open character info, menu, achivement,...so game can be loaded, yet nothing changes. I guess Kuro has made the game load the whole map instead in specific area you are standing, that why it causing lag because the map just continuously loaded. I wonder if kuro really wanted to compete against Hoyo
It's definitely something like this, I checked my Task Manager and my Disk usage was going up to 100% every time it stuttered, so it's accessing my drive for read/writing, but I don't know what exactly its doing. I assumed loading something, but it goes away after a while (at least it's not to the same degree as stutter) once I've ran around in the same area. Going to another area will cause a stutter. If I close the game and reopen it, itlll have to repeat the same process again.
@@soulzyx me too. it might be the disk but I have seen a few people said even put into ssd they still got lags. Maybe ram isn't enough? Mine is 8gb ram and I am going to upgrade to 20gb to see there is any different.
This game just has much thing to do. They should use Unity instead and shouldn't release the game this soon. I mean they released earlier than they planned, right?
@@hinoka2911 I have put the game on my SSD, and I got the same exact problem. But I don't know, maybe some people's M2 drives are much faster than my SATA SSD.
I'm using 16GB of system RAM, and the game is using 13GB. So I don't think RAM will change that, but if you want to upgrade I don't advise against that. I don't think the problem is even Unreal Engine 4, because I've played UE4 singleplayer games and they never had this much of an issue (I know Tower of Fantasy had shader stutter compilation, but I didn't play it enough to compare). If they used unity, the game would not look this good. I think it's just an issue with the developers who made the game, either poorly programming it, or not looking into the issue.
And yeah, they did release it earlier, because the new Genshin update is coming out not too long in the future, so they didn't want to release at the same time. I think it didn't help that the people who got access to Closed beta testing like Content creators had high end gaming rigs. They probably did get feedback and couldn't fix it. It's hard to say they just don't care, but we're in a shit situation with performance it seems

I dont know what is happening in my device ,when i am in a domain like fighting dreamless or may other forgery domain game runs so smooth with no fps drops and to the point that it feels flawless, but the moment i exit that fighting domain game turns so laggy that i cant even recognise that as same game ....i dont know what is happening. 😑😕can you give some tips on that.
your system is too weak to handle the game, the reason why it's smooth in domains, it's because it isn't rendering anything in the game, it's just sky, no object, no characters, no geometry. When you leave, it has to render the game and that's why it's lag.
The best things you can do is, apply the ini tweaks in my video (which will increase FPS), or get a new stronger system that can play the game that's not below the minimum requirements
I literally uninstalled it just by now before this vid but I guess waiting for it to be more optimized.
What was the issue before you uninstalled it? If it was unplayabale for you before, I don't think an update is going to make it better for you. I would play another game in that case.

Yeah the ping thing has been happening to me too, after a while the game runs at around 25 to 35 fps which is playable enough. Really hope they fix things fast.

You have low FPS? Or it''s just the stuttering? I recommend putting the game on a SSD, once the shader compilation is already generated. I'm actually making a new video, where I post the difference. 80% of my stutter disappeared from moving it off my HDD.

I also have a question tho : From personal experience , i had awful frametimes in WuWa so to fix it i disabled VSync internally and i used the RivaTuner FPS Limiter to either 60 without the patch or 120 with the patch , would you say this is indeed helping or is it pointless?
I noticed it lowered the ""frame times" when using RTTS cap, but like, I noticed no difference in smoothness or stutter, so it might very well be placeabo. Since it's already 60 capped, I don't bother to cap it myself in Nvidia Control Panel on the driver level but i did notice that yes.

@@botcchidotcchi game on SSD, and having enough RAM/VRAM all those 3 should "help", if togeter. since I read the game "loads" resources every second. The thing you linked only helps with the sound beeping

Lost Ark uses Unreal Engine 3, so it can be modified. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a config file generated to edit, which looks to be deliberate by the developers. There's no .ini files, unless you can find them, I could not online.
(if you can find engine.ini, or any ini in Unreal Engine games, they can be changed in the same way as this video, although not all settings may apply)
Thankyou so much! This helps a lot. There is one thing I've notice, I apply the limit particle amount and it seems that if affects jianxin's forte skill. Sometimes it automatically ends the skill without releasing the button. I'm not sure if this cause the problem but it only occurs after I use the tweaks.
Interesting, it could be that the skill requests more particles, it shouldnt "end" it though, it should keep going but it should be "invisible". I guess you can try putting it above 40, see what 50-60 does.
I don't have Jiangxin, so if you could tell me if that happens when you don't have the Particle lines in there, then I can probably double the amount 40=80 that I posted here on the desc/my pinned comment under your recommendation. Thank you.

for the particle settings in desc of video what would u set it to for a mid-tier pc im getting some fps drops in combat but i dont want to reduce the settings too much
I think 40 is the minimum, but people told me it hides the golden trail on the sensor gadget, so Idk if you'd want to touch it.
It's experimental. It's better to leave it at default honestly, I was playing around it and unless you absolutely just hide particles, in places like Illusion realm I'm alwayss getting FPS drops especially from Mortefi Liberation. It's best just to play with it yourself to know my friend
Dude I have 3070ti with i5-11600k and this game still runs like shit. They just released it early with so many optimization problems. Good video tho.
With that system, you shouldnt have a problem with average FPS. Just the stuttering, that everyone is getting no matter their hardware sadly. The game seems to try to load something, like every texture/object in the area the first time you go there (even if you've been there in previous sessions), thats why I'm frozen for like 10-20 seconds when I login. I can see my HDD/SSD spike every time it does that. It's definitely a horrible way of the game to do it.
I never had problems with i5-3570k and RX580 but I do have with my brother's PC which has crap GPU R7 360. So I'm watching this.
if you are having problems with that system, i think the problem might be your pc, cuz i have an i7700 with gtx 1650 super and i can run it with no problems at all

Yes, it's a problem with the game and how it renders. I don't think there is a setting you can change to fix that. Not sure if the developers can fix it, if it's just how it does whatever it processes in this way. I would hope they can, but I am not betting on it. It's pretty unacceptable. The huge freezing repeatedly goes away for me, and becomes way less the longer I've had the game running/been to the same areas. But if you reopen the game, the whole thing will have to do it all again.
