    Sorry for the unintentional jump scare where I didn't overlay the b-roll properly, but you've probably seen worse mistakes in my videos.
    Also, look at me go! Making a video the same week as a big social event! Genuinely impressed with myself lol 😎

    Thank you for this lovely video tutorial. My daughter's friend was looking for a grime guard and my daughter asked if I could make one, since it would take 4 weeks to order one from Etsy. I didn't have any idea what a grime guard was but when my daughter showed me your video, I said of course I can make that. And no, she doesn't have to pay me for that. Her friend supplied all the materials, all I did was sew a few seams. With your help, I had this done for her in no time. Thank you, from both of us.

    Good tutorial! I've made a couple before. One tip, write what size you made it for with a some sort of fine point indelible marker on that inner central seam so you can tell easily if you've made a few different sizes.

    Oh thank god…a tutorial that has the CORRECT formula. After much wasted fabric and frustration the tutorial I watched over and over again did not include pi (π). It wasn’t working. Found your video and 💥🙌🙌 yours made sense!! Thank you thank you thank you. Yours are also more simple and much more professional looking.

Also thanks for including the info for hoop users because, as you know, I really only like hoops 😊

    THANK YOU! I’m a software trainer by profession and you’re gifted! One quick suggestion - be careful using any batik fabrics on a grime guard. I’m a quilter too and batiks can transfer color easily, especially if you’re holding the grime guard - the heat and moisture transfers color.

    Hi and congrats on your work! i really admire the cross-stitching you do and your organization. I would like to ask for your opinion though: I understand that you cross-stitch a lot. but what do you do with the projects that you finish? do you keep them all? do you give them away?

    • @TheGiddyStitcher
      @TheGiddyStitcher  Рік тому +1

      Good question! I'm really bad at "fully" finishing things so to be totally honest most of them are sitting in a pile awaiting that glorious day. But some of them are already earmarked to go up on the walls, others have either been gifted away already or will be once they're done. I know some stitchers even sell their work for way too low prices just to get rid of it! Thinking about this makes me glad for once that I'm quite a slow stitcher, haha :D

    Love this video question if I have Q Snap that’s 17 x 11 does that mean 17 x 2 and 11 x 2 plus 2” for each and for the elastic 18” x 2 and 12” x 2??? 😍😍👍👍

    • @TheGiddyStitcher
      @TheGiddyStitcher  Рік тому +3

      So it's the sum of all your sides, then add another 2 inches to that sum. 17+17+11+11 is 56, so the total length you'd need is 58. Then the two elastics would be half of your fabric length, ie 29 inches each.
      Hope that makes sense!
