Colin you should be so proud. When I see Jenna I see my own daughter just a few years older. I hope to get her up to cree lodge in the next few years. It would be a trip of my life.
I've been there 4 times and going back again this summer. I have fished Reindeer Lake 4 times, Cree Lake, Scott Lake, Great Slave Lake, Midnight Sun Alaska, but I keep coming back to Cree River because they have the biggest pike and new fish are always coming into the river system. The lodge is very laid back and you become part of their family for the time you are there. Compliments to the film crew. Great footage and editing!
What little i know about pike foshing was learned in the boundry waters many years ago. Big, Flashy , and noisy was the name of the game. Smb was our main target but for shore lunch and dinner walleye was the goal. Northerns were only a by product. Big, Shiney, and noisy would catch what pike we caught.
I was lucky enough to go last season, and it was awesome. Caught a 43” monster and lost a 50” at the boat… we caught walleye and I caught many Grayling. Largest grayling was 18”. My Pb. Pat and his staff are excellent hosts and the lodge is great. Highly suggested. The Dunes were amazing and I caught 18+ big pike while flyfishing there….
