Doron Sheffer I have to disagree with you about the infotainment screen. The infotainment screen in the C8 actually has way more function to it than most super and hypercars. It doesn't have to have the prettiest transitional graphics, simply be functional and easy to use. Also to be honest with you, some of the most expensive hypercars on the market have the most crap infotainment screens I've ever seen, and they're usually the shortcoming of that vehicle.
I’m honestly a huge fan of every design aspect on the Z06. Naturally Aspirated, physical buttons, simple infotainment. That’s priceless to me, because it harkens back to a simpler beautiful time. Im saying this is as a Ford fan, and ford has gone off the deep end trying to make everything electronic, and I’m not impressed😂
Same but I don’t like the body shape of the convertible like the one in the video. Also I couldn’t decide if gm or “stellantis” was my favorite but now I think I know who it is lol. Dodge needs to do something crazy. The hellephant was cool but now gm has a 1004 horsepower na crate engine. The viper was really cool too but now chevy has the c8. The only thing I’ll give dodge credit for is the trackhawk cause it’s beautiful and fast

Both chevy and especially Ford are pursuing more Eco ventures in lieu of government funding and support, while dodge has yet to cave in. This new Z06 just set Chevy back on the forefront of power. But engines like the Hellephant and Hellcat are both Supercharged, not NA. Plus the Hellephant was more of an April fools joke than anything serious. Read up on it. I have yet to find a legitimate article on it, much less a working prototype.

What impressed me, according to Tadge Juechter the Z06 w/ the ZO7 option, “Will hang with the C7 ZR1 for quickest lap of a session, but if you look at the average lap over a full tank of fuel, the C8 Z06 will be quicker.” He went on to say that the difference in Z06 lap times over a session is zero, even negative. Sometimes the fastest lap of the day was the last lap. IMHO to have a car that does not lose performance lap after lap is amazing! I use to run my C5R-427 at Road Atlanta and I am so looking forward to getting the Z06. When I signed up for the order queue Sep 2020 I wasn't sure what I would be getting. Kudos GM you exceeded my expectations.

You’d take this over a 992S Turbo? You would take it over a 992GTS4? Even the $160k well equipped GTS4 is a twin turbo and with a simple chip tune/reflash you’re looking at over 550hp and same torque.

It’s interesting to see a video of this car coming from the tech/everyday person perspective. Sam doesn’t even mention the flat plane crank v8 that revs to almost 9k rpm or the fact that this engine makes the most power ever in a naturally aspirated v8, but he does highlight the ports, wireless charging, roof mechanism, carbon fiber, infotainment, etc. Loved the video Sam, keep up the good work.

I didn't like the C8 either, but I like the z06, maybe because I used to own the C7. I found the C8 too busy for me, especially in the back. Now by placing the exhausts to the center and elongate the black vent accent in the back make it a bit less busy, plus I like what they do with side boomerang.

I don’t understand why some people get so hung up on wanting the latest infotainment system on Supercars and sport cars. The point of getting a car like this is to appreciate that naturally aspirated visceral V8 sound, enjoy the performance and connection to the road. As opposed to focusing on having the latest and greatest infotainment system.
With the C8 Stingray it wasn't a difficult choice to make for the HTC. However, the hand built LS6 will make this a very, very difficult decision. That motor screams to be seen.
A lot of great things about this car. Not a convertible guy but it really works well for this car. The only two negatives is I think if future years they can make the rear look as good as the front and it will be so hard to get one, especially without dealer markup.
Was never a fan of cheaply built US vehicles but man, I had the z51 c8 on a track (first time ever on a track) and jeeeezz I was killing it with this current Vette. The vehicle just inspires such confidence and enabled myself to not sweat a drop of fear. I'm seriously considering getting one as my next vehicle.. In all honesty I WOULD NEVER before consider an American vehicle but after driving this, I'm sold!
I’m a current original owner of a 2013 Ferrari 458 spider and refused to buy a new Ferrari 488 or F8 tribute because of a horrible sounding 3.9 V8 engine . I know that Chevy purchased two 458 Ferrari’s as a starting point and I must say the Z06 Is my new ride along side my classic 458 . Bravo Chevy for building a better sounding current Ferrari V8 .

What is the point in making an automatic transmission ICE vehicle anymore? Just make it electric if you’re going to make the car soulless. They’re much faster. ICE race cars should be manual transmission only.
I am desensitized that cold start sounded a bit weak. My car z06 with akrapovic exhaust is so much louder than this, sounds like an explosion. Anyway love the car looks awesome and the automatic roof detach is awesome.
Will the paint stay on it longer than 5 years ? Cause I have a Chevrolet work van that says differently. Hyundai can make paint stick to a vehicle longer than 5 years. Chevrolet can't do that ?

I'm not gonna lie, this is the first corvette I've ever wanted. I didn't really quite like the c8, although I respected it a ton, it just didn't excite me that much. But this thing, is a straight ferrari basically.
