I had no problem with the 8VR. My wife loves it. It does look like he put it on upside down. The hinge issue doesn't seem to be an issue either. My wife has a lot of hair and even with her ponytail, it's easy for her to get it on and off. I think he's just not doing it right.
I'm glad it worked for you and everyone has a different head shape so I'm definitely not the last word on any strap. I also have an oversized head I learned from kart racing once LOL so some straps I love are NOT for everyone :) Thanks for the update though epic!

The fake reviews at the company named after the River in South America are out of control. My wife and I bought 2 of these head-straps based on the reviews at the seller website, and had pretty much the same experience that you had.. "Floppy back end" (that flaw alone gets AGGRAVATING *FAST*), "Stiff head-cradle in the rear that just WILL NOT fit a human head", etc. After I watched your fantastic review I drafted up a very simple 3D-Printed "Snap On Swivel" for the stiff back Cradle-Part of this thing (It only takes 35 Minutes to 3D-Print).. It's SIMPLE, but it allows that stiff rear Head-Cradle to swivel, which allows it to fit the back of your head MUCH better. After the fix, it's actually pretty comfortable! Why didn't this thing come from the maker with a swivel back there??? If you have a 3D Printer, you can grab the very simple "Cradle Swivels" over at Thingiverse (FREE), just search for "8VR" in their search engine... It's the only STL file there for this horrible thing at the moment. I'm hoping the Swivels help anyone that missed your review before ordering these head-straps and may be stuck using it now. The battery that comes with the head-strap just WILL NOT keep up with recharging the Quest 2's internal battery during any serious game play. The Battery in these 8VR head-straps only adds 20 minutes of game play in "Population: One" (on TWO different Quest 2 headsets) before we start getting constant "Low Battery Warnings". We had been using a 10,000mAh External battery strapped onto our old Kiwi Head-straps, which gave us 4-5 hours of extra game time ON TOP OF the 2+ hours from the Quest 2's internal battery. Now we have our 10,000mAh external battery packs attached to the floppy top cross-bar of this abomination, but having the weight of the head-strap's (now unused) battery just makes the whole thing even heavier. These things are going to be thrown back into "The River". Thank you SO MUCH for the great review!!! I ordered two of the BOBOVR M2 Plus Head Straps that you recommended for my wife and me! Can't wait for them to get here!
I should have looked at reviews rather than pictures. I just got this and have the exact same issue with the back of the head strap. It doesn't fit your head no matter what you do with it. I am going to remove the rubber piece and see if there is any hope of making something else to go in that spot to hold the back of my head but I am not very optimistic. Thanks for the reviews, I may end up with a different one and send this one back.

Just bought this and 100% agree. There's a very small sweet spot where it doesn't hold on very well but does seem somewhat comfortable. Big oof overall on product design
Well, if you got the original m2 you could flip the back pad upside down, that could help, and if you got the pro you could get the retrofit kit, it has honeycomb silicone to grip your head better, and if you got the m2 plus the hinge is locked at different locations so that helps stop the hinge from sliding up, and it comes with silicone included, so you can put that on. Hope this helps!

I tried everything mentioned online with no success.. so I got a hair cut today and now it doesn't slide at all 🤷♂ its not a good solution for someone who isn't willing to cut their hair short but I wanted to at at least throw out that it helped.

I have a general question for you The qwest 2 is very cheep right now but it seems like there are a lot more head sets coming in 2023 Should I buy the qwest or wait and spend a bit more but get a more capable head set?
@@DrakonSerpent I recently got the quest 2 and now I see no reason to buy any new releases for a few years since I'm having literally no problem while playing with it and it has insanely good graphics for something standalone so I'd recommend getting a quest 2
If you're on the fence, get the Quest 2 literally just _RiGhT nOw!_ It's 50 bucks off and comes with both Beat Saber and Resident Evil 4 (total worth: another 70 bucks) during the Black Friday sale. The Quest 3 probably will come in about a year...
As my experience, the biggest problem of Quest 2 is that the vision is too narrow, if Quest 3 can solution to it, I would say wait for it will improve your experience a lot. However, if you just wanna do some exercise or some sports just like me, you can buy it right now, and you will find a lot of fun.
@@hyk4381 The Q3 will most likely have a slightly wider FOV just like the Pro as it's going to get the same pancake lenses. Anyway I think it's a good moment to get into VR with the Q2 right now and upgrade later (a year can be a lot of time) and making that upgrade less expensive on the record by selling the Q2 then or just a few weeks before launch of the Q3.
yeah don't ever buy this, this is so trash I bought mine yesterday and got it today but it's very uncomfortable I've returned it and gotten a refund, there are better cheaper options.
@@jaybratt personally I would burn it, and also there's a very cheap headstrap that I think you should check out, it's like the oculus elite strap but way cheaper and with at 6000mp battery pack, I bought it for 18.99 on amazon.
It’s almost like they don’t do any product testing before they launch these head straps.
I read somewhere else that the black part on the back was installed upside down. I popped mine off and turned it around and it fits much better!

It's better than a regular strap but if your head is too small it'll be really wobbly

My Bobo strap rides up on the back of my head like crazy! Is it because I have long hair? Or is it just a design fault?

Is it the Pro or the Plus? The Pro is notorious for doing that. The Plus 100% fixed the problem for me and a lot of other people.
