I used a heat gun and was able to get out most of my white like scratches around the jack holder plastic. fyi. There are a few youtube vids. It definitely improved the look on my plastics.
My CRV looks the same. I was going to paint it, or get replacement parts, but I’m going to try a trim restorer first. Definitely looks better after your paint job.
think ima just remove the bumper and get a full nice matte black on it same pait actually . looks great though, might use the masking for the side trim parts ima do all the plastic . i like those tires what size are they //???
@@Jdmforall do u have any suggestions on fix the plastic part inside the vehicle closet to th window (between the dashboard and window) if it flakes off?
Looks great! Armor all only lasts on these bumpers for a few weeks and then has to be re-applied
I'm curious to see how well this holds up
Might give this a shot this summer.
Yes I am getting a crv and I need to paint the bumpers so thank you for showing how easy it will be to do it myself.
No problem 👍
@@Jdmforall I’m getting a 2004 tomorrow in good shape,but bumpers need some look 😁
Awesome mine are still pretty new looking on my 2005 now I feel like doing this to mine to bring back some shine lol
Going to do the same on my white first gen CRV should be a really good contrast with the white 👍

Nice! I've heard of that method working great. Sounds really easy too!
@@Jdmforall it definitely works. I did a similar method using a blow torch on the lowest setting I could. Heat gun probably would have been better.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing but following up with the Cerakote wipes. I think that would be better than paint.

Only the cerakote one is worth a damn
Nice job. How many coats and spray cans did you use?
Can you change the plastic ones for the newer 05-06 color bumpers?
What spray paint did you used ??

Have you repainted the weather strips next to the window edges ? Or up graded the to new ?
Good job on bumper from me in England
Thanks! No I haven't bothered with the weather strips so far. Maybe in the future.
Nice job! way more than a 40 minute job. Takes me 40 minutes to get the tools out.
How many cans did you use?
No clear coat?
Looks good. Btw what kind of tires are those, and their size? I think I'd want something like those for my CRV
Thanks! They are mud tires (Roadone Calvary). They're 235/75/15s.
How did this hold up till now ? Still looking good or decent?
It's holding up great. Looks just like the first day.
How long does it take to dry?
Takes about an hour to dry.
Mine came out really good!
Nice! Makes it look a lot newer right?
