you are correct crafts are expensive and that beige metal cabinet is used in stores for patterns to make clothes. Big wooden thing is a loom . You got some great stuff
Just going back and catching some of your older videos. As I have said before, love you all and wishing you great success. I am posting to give you a little knowledge on any future seamstress units and serious crafting units....SCISSORS!!! I saw you pick up a beautiful pair of scissors and use it to open a box. All seamstresses and quilters probably cringed. If you use scissors to cut fabric, you never use it for paper. If you use scissors for paper, you never use it for fabric....or hair dresser scissors...only use them for hair. It is a "cardinal sin"...one I learned the hard way as a child. My Mother was a seamstress. If you want top dollar on expensive scissors....don't open boxes with them. Love you all bunches....and hope that helps for future units.
Wade, you have such an amazing family ! They are so supportive during the long days and long nights! The work is demanding and requires a lot from all of you ! How Ashley never complains is impressive ! You are such a great couple !
I'm a new subscriber, what a unit to start on! An amazing amount of goods. You could contact a local quilt guild or church group who makes quilts for sick people, disaster relief, quilts of valor etc. They would love a donation of some of those fabrics!
Hello! First time watcher here...I just want to say THANK YOU for returning that flag to the family. You would not believe how many times my hubby and I have found flags at the bins or second hand stores...such a shame. We ALWAYS purchase the flags and our Auxiliary president has a way of finding the families of these Vet's flags and we return them to the families ( I am part of a local VFW in my area a). A good coin in the karma bank! Good job!!
You're right about the jewelry supplies! I'm a retired designer, if I was still able to work I would buy it in a heartbeat. Advertise it locally as Jewelry designer supplies if you decide to sell it.
Thanks so much for sharing these videos , I use to clean out lockers and owned an auction but I am disabled now and can't do it anymore , so watching your excitement reminds me of all the fun I use to have....and shout out to your family for doing it with you
I so enjoy watching your videos. I also really like the relationship you display between you mom and Ashley. I look forward to your next videos. You are a kind and caring family. You are always respectful with things you find in the storage units. You, Ashley, and your mom are wonderful people.
It's is almost unbelievable that someone could not come up with the rental amount for this storage unit. A loss for them but a treasure chest for you! Wow!
I make jewelry and crochet, so I know you are going to make a ment from this unit. Love your the one who got it, I also think it was wonderful of you to give back to her what you did you a very good soul.
You'll make a fortune on those shoes and costumes. I'd have a blast looking through all of that! Plus the fabric!! Worth a ton! You hit the jackpot on that unit!
Ashley, Grandma Wade and yourself make a great team, apart from the knowledge you all have the banter is really good and, by the way my husband would also look great with the wig on :) xx
I soooo misread the first half of your comment and before my eyes could read the second bit my brain was wondering what in this video had to do with sewers where your poop and pee ends up in! Note to Brain: Calm down, wait for the whole sentence before thinking!
You did the right thing by giving the family back the army flag. You are a great guy for doing what you did. I'm a new subscriber and I really enjoyed the video cant wait for more.
Last unit I bought had tons of books too, but I've already made about $600 on 1/4 of them because they turned out to be old and valuable :) Hoping you guys got some winners in all those books boxes :) LOVE THIS !!
Anything you have left over or can’t sell ? Please donate them to a homeless men’s shelter or homeless women’s shelter, these places are full of people that are down on their luck but they are still readers and books are usually what’s missing at the shelters and the men love the books especially the educated professionals with substance abuse issues..... 🙏🏽 The books help them immensely. 🙏🏽☮️🕉💟
The metal industrial drawers are commercial clothing pattern drawers from a fabric shop. Lots of serious sewers would love to buy that to file their patterns in order.
You are so right about giving that flag back I am sure that would mean a lot to whom ever lost that loved one that served our country proudly GOD BLESS YOU
🇬🇧 Its a hand loom. The owner of all this was a really multi tasking crafter. Amazing 👍 Somewhere there is probably the yarn to use on it. Might be amongst the stuff you tossed over to Grandma's stash.
You can donate the books that you're not selling to the library or the school libraries. And can you imagine the cost to dry - clean all of those costumes, suits and dresses? E -I - E - I - OUCH!!
You have a little gold mine here. The art stuff is always worth money, even when it's old. I hope that you consult someone to help you with it. I have a bunch of the stuff (had a store) and I'm reminded, while watching this to help my kids NOW. I thought that I was on top of it but not so much. Wade, you and all of the other young folks that I watch (I watch a few of you) have GRIT. The stuff that our great-grand parents had. Society went off the rails, enough said about that. This storage owner had some amazing talent. It is sad that something, ie: physical illness, mental illness, emotional illness, divorce, drugs or whatever happened to this person and it is unfortunate. I'm sorry that they had to deal with this. BUT, BIG BUT......at some point "we" have to pull ourselves up and get our stuff together, IF we want to get better. They have or had family. Maybe they helped, maybe they didn't. Either way their problem isn't your problem and I pray that you don't take this and carry it on your shoulders. You are in business and I hope that you continue to take care of yourself and your family. Guilt is a *ITCH. Next time a facility hands you a letter, shred it for your own sake. You know right from wrong and you even have some compassion. I can see that. BIG KUDOS TO MOMMA!! (LOVE HER BY THE WAY) Just keep doing you. When you stop loving what you're doing, STOP. My husband and I are retired and love watching all of you kids work and smile and laugh and sometimes hurt yourselves but most of all we love your GRIT!! Keep working for you and yours and Thank you for always sharing
You have spent hours in there and more to come Wade, then there's the sorting, that is a heck of a lot of time but I think you'll be happy with the results. Love and hugs to you all Mary-Ellen UK
Wow! You have enough stuff to open up a sewing, arts and crafts store! That one thing you didnt know what it was, is a weaving loom for making fabrics.
All those new shoes go with the costumes. Super neat stuff. From beginnings to end. Must have been a costumes seamstress along with jewelry. That’s why all the craft stuff as well. Super cool again.
This unit is so amazing. man, i wish i knew when your garage sale was. I seriously dont want to miss it. Will you be attending it? I would love to meet all of you too. You are all so very inspiring
You guys work so hard but it must be a very exciting job at times Im sure i can speak for all of us when we say we really hope you will find some stuff that will reflect your hard work for most of the time and i think you do achieve this Much love to you both and Grandma and boys from Derbyshire UK xxx
I have a bunch of Cutco. My ex sold it in the sixties. Could not afford it now. That red drawer thing looked way better than it turned out to be. the amount of clothing and fabric reminds me of when I go to the outlet store and see people piling their carts with that sort of thing. I know they must sell it but wonder about all you are finding, if a lot came from there. just so much. Oh a loom. so they can make their own fabric. lol all of us crafters/beaders/sewers/painters are just frothing at the mouth right now. Oh yes, your mom will love that box of beading stuff. Very expensive and she deserves it and will do fantastic things.
Some of that yarn goes for really good prices as do the old clothing patterns and material! Looks like you found another good one! If that is a pattern cabinet back there I bet you can get a good price on that thing! Those are classic. I'm not finished watching yet! 😁 That IS a pattern cabinet. Bahahaha that hair is YOU! Lovin' the braid!
Costume patterns, interesting storage unit. The small shoe tubs are 5 for $5 at Walmart, great for storing small cuts of fabric. Those costumes look gorgeous.
I get excited over the smallest things I seen yarn and was like oh the things I could do so I'm disabled bought me a camper when I got approved I don't go out much cause of covid my excitement consists of crocheting any yarn you wanna throw my way if be so excited for
For all those making comments about how she might of kept her place if she had not spent so much on crafting supplies, let me tell you how it can happen, as it did in my case. I swear this has been a difficult video to watch, because of the memories it has brought back. I'm a crafter, and collector, and had a 4 bedroom two story house with full attic and detached garage. I was working full time, married, and a daughter at home, plus my MIL. Who was also a crafter/collector. The house was packed to the gills. Half the attic was just MY Christmas decorations. I quilted mostly by that point in life, but had done just about everything up to then, had tons of fabric. MIL sewed clothing, mostly for my daughter, and read a lot. I also did machine embroidery. Then, I got sick in 2002, by 2005 I was permanently out of work on disability, and that year was also diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2009, I was finally able to get out of the marriage that was a living hell by that point. Some people don't apparently take those vows seriously,, like the 'in sickness or in health'. I've been on my own since 2009. I left the house for a 2 bdrm apt with my daughter, but in a year my ex conned her into moving in with him (no child support pymts then), and I lost the apt, been renting rooms ever since. When I left the house, I had to leave so much behind it wasn't funny. Probably had a good 2500 yards of fabric, and all the trimmings to go with it. by then I couldn't even quilt anymore, but did not give up hope. Leaving the apt a year later, had to leave even more behind, so much for all my Christmas decorations, my middle daughter got most of that, filled up dumpsters in the complex, no time to try to sell, etc. I never rented a storage unit, thankfully, or this could well have started out as my unit. I don't know what the story is behind this person, but I can tell you, that unit is YEARS of collecting stuff. I worked in craft stores/departments, and never ever paid full price for anything. Not even close, I wait for sales and clearance. Life doesn't always work out as we think it will, I was collecting for my retirement, when I planned on having all the time in the world to do the things I loved to do. I'm looking at needing to move again, and possibly ending up in assisted living at this point (almost 60 yrs old), and trust me, looking around, it's going to be very difficult to give up my supplies. I've been beading for bout five years now, and my stash of beads would make my old fabric jealous. I've also begun working and loving it, with polymer clay. So yes, it can happen for reasons beyond our control. I feel for the person who's unit this was, but totally understand how the buyer of the unit must feel too. It sucks.
❤ The box of tools and beads are all for jewelry making. I know because my sister and I ran a craft business for quite awhile. Our inventory is much more than that and just crazy. 😂😁
So neat to,see you assessing weather things have a price, and then how much. Also nice to see your lovely lady supports you and is interested in what you find. Good hunting - ps your flute is actually a recorder.
Truly you are a special person the flag is very special and each fold made has significant meanings and also the guards at Tomb of The Unknown Soldier is interesting to read about check it out and also when coins are left on a Soldiers Headstone each coin has a different meaning God Bless you and yours
Been a seamstress and crocheter all my life. I am having heart pitter patter over the fabric and the pattern drawer. And haven't even seen the sewing machine and embroidery machine yet. Oh geez....a loom also? Having fits here.
excellent unit, you know all the crafts there except crochet are what I do!!!!! those costume bags - I wonder if they held one characters entire wardrobe for a show? the contents seemed to be for one person. cheers, good find, hope you make big bucks!!
I agree, check out that woven basket with the designs on it. If it was made by Native Americans, in Arizona especially they can go for a pretty good chunk of change. When I lived in AZ I used to see baskets that size selling for $400 and up.
Wade…you should keep in your truck a little kit of gloves, cutters, magnifying glass, magnet ,and tape measure plus keep a table in your truck at all times , that’s what I’d do if you were my husband ….hugs ,Barb
Your videos are so awesome . Love them all and wish I lived closer so I could come to your garage sale your having . I'm from Michigan . I can't wait to see what's in the back of this big video . It sure is a lot of work. I do a lot of metal detecting its a great pass time . Great to see its a family thing.
Wade when you are going threw kitchen things look for Queen Cookware by Amway. Very excellent cookware and very expensive. It's stainless steel and one small sauce pan and lid just sold on Ebay for$160.00. That to me is on the high side for 1 small pan but Look it up on Ebay. The prices are all over the place but are all higher than most pans. Also Copic markers are the most expensive markers and go from $6.00 per marker new. Used ones sell good too.
I am pretty sure the tall metal cabinet was actually from a fabric store. They held the patterns that you could go thru, all arranged by number. A great find no matter what you put in it.
I heard your comments on magic marker's and the wall. I would put up butcher paper on the wall. Shiny side against the wall. Then let them fill it up. Easy cut out of your favorite pictures.
I am so glad you finally heard me yelling, "Pick up the ironing board!!!!" LOL Just knew you were gonna trip over it. Smile. Good boy!>>>And that sign on the cabinet there is cracking me up..."Pervert Behind Me!" Who would write that on their stuff? LOL
Have you ever considered donating some of the costumes to you local high school drama club. Would be a cool thing to do. I know this is your job and I respect that. It's just something to think about.
That unit is huge, I'd combine some of the totes of clothing, what ever that give you more room, really like your United leep sharing, looking forward to more.
You are right that stuff is very high price I think this gal was used to getting what she wanted and the hell with paying bills!!!!! Louise Tridle North Platte N.B.
you are correct crafts are expensive and that beige metal cabinet is used in stores for patterns to make clothes. Big wooden thing is a loom . You got some great stuff

Treasure after treasure. Great unit. Love when Ashley is with you.You make a good team.
I am a crafter and those items are all expensive, so that one box could absolutely be worth
Ashley is one smart cookie 🍪

I wish I had seen this video ...that’s a loom. I envy who bought that
You're right, the jewelry, yarn, fabric and paints ate worth a lot! I'll buy some!
Sorry for her loss, Super happy for your gain:-) Love you guys!!!

Before the garage sale you are going to know more about fabric and yarn and crafts then most people. 🤯😬😍😄🤗
All those new shoes go with the costumes. Super neat stuff. From beginnings to end. Must have been a costumes seamstress along with jewelry. That’s why all the craft stuff as well. Super cool again.

Hopefully you're watching for cd's that go to sewing machine. This lady was talented seamstress it seems.
❤ The box of tools and beads are all for jewelry making. I know because my sister and I ran a craft business for quite awhile. Our inventory is much more than that and just crazy. 😂😁

I love your tee shirt Wade.
I love to have the yarn.
Been a seamstress and crocheter all my life. I am having heart pitter patter over the fabric and the pattern drawer. And haven't even seen the sewing machine and embroidery machine yet. Oh geez....a loom also? Having fits here.
The metal drawers are used to hold patterns in a store like joann's. The art and crafting supplies sell well on eBay for good money. I'd lot them up
excellent unit, you know all the crafts there except crochet are what I do!!!!! those costume bags - I wonder if they held one characters entire wardrobe for a show? the contents seemed to be for one person. cheers, good find, hope you make big bucks!!
34:34 I would love to have the purple clogs ... I am a collector. Thanks!!
You all are makin me drool. I so want to be close to just tiptoe through all that material.
I agree, check out that woven basket with the designs on it. If it was made by Native Americans, in Arizona especially they can go for a pretty good chunk of change. When I lived in AZ I used to see baskets that size selling for $400 and up.
We just purchased a 26' with door on rear and side. Love it
Wade…you should keep in your truck a little kit of gloves, cutters, magnifying glass, magnet ,and tape measure plus keep a table in your truck at all times , that’s what I’d do if you were my husband ….hugs ,Barb
Your videos are so awesome . Love them all and wish I lived closer so I could come to your garage sale your having . I'm from Michigan . I can't wait to see what's in the back of this big video . The prices are all over the place but are all higher than most pans. Also Copic markers are the most expensive markers and go from $6.00 per marker new. Used ones sell good too.
I seriously want to fly to Oregon from Texas to help y'all sort fabric!! I'm reacting like your Mom!!
I am pretty sure the tall metal cabinet was actually from a fabric store. They held the patterns that you could go thru, all arranged by number. A great find no matter what you put in it.
Hello! Good one
I heard your comments on magic marker's and the wall. I would put up butcher paper on the wall.
Shiny side against the wall. Then let them fill it up. Easy cut out of your favorite pictures.
Can't wait for your garage sale I'm in your guys area and I'll be there at opening! Great job
Ty
Wade: still watching, those swords you found must go to those costumes.
That unit is huge, I'd combine some of the totes of clothing, what ever that give you more room, really like your United leep sharing, looking forward to more.
Wow not sure my mind was working at full speed
That big brown cabinet is a commercial sewing pattern storage cabinet. You can see them in places like joanns
ugh that loom is awesome
Damn, Wade. Reading some of these comments you would think they were the ones who bought the unit and not you.
