i love Ashley and Grandma ventures. Its been fun to watch ashley come out of her shell. Shes is wonderful and i love the days when they are together. they are so funny together. You are one lucky man.
Losing a unit to auction really hurts. Especially when it was unavoidable. Watching these videos kinda brings back that pain.........but I can't stop watching. At least you try to return the personal items to family. Unfortunately the folks who got mine didn't. Love your channel!
Wade, you, your wife, and your mama all seem so sincere and kind. I’ve noticed you have quite a few cranky commentators. It’s too bad that people don’t just keep their unkind thoughts to themselves. I enjoy that you don’t feel the need to be silly or over dramatic.God bless you all and thank you for sharing your interesting finds! 😊
Tip for anyone buying or taking a free used mattress... go to your hardware store and buy a bag of diatomatious earth (dirt with ground up seashells) sprinkle the dirt on all surfaces of the mattress and wrap the mattress in plastic, duct tape any seams. Allow the mattress to sit for 2 weeks. Then open and remove plastic and vacuum well. This way, you are guaranteed to have rid the mattress of any possible bedbugs from the previous owner. Believe me, some of my relatives have had this problem. It's either this method or put the mattress in the garage and heat the garage to 130 degrees for 2 hrs. I think the dirt route would be my preference though.
I recently got rid of a mattress for free -I actually cut into the mattress, ripped off all the material and foam, bagged it and put it out for my regular trash, then posted the metal springs for free on facebook marketplace and it was gone within 24 hrs. Believe it or not, people use the springs for gardening! I only knew because of pinterest lol I guess the little springs kind of act like tomato cages. I am pretty sure that is what the lady wanted them for. I'm sure you might not be able to do that with all mattresses and you must be careful doing it. I didn't get a scratch but I just wouldn't want anyone else to
Love your storage videos. I would love to buy storage lockers like that but too old and going thru chemo. You allow me to vicariously buy lockers. lol I tell my hubby you've got to like a guy who thinks about his grandma, mom, kids and wife while going thru everything.
So happy your back unpacking. I have missed you so. I also had the same dresser since the early '60s. My husband restained it a few yrs ago. Thanks for coming back unpacking.
You look so much younger and better all shaved up. Did your wife finally tell you to do it? Lol kuddos to her if she did. Either way your a good guy and your whole family is wonderful.
That little Sony Trinitron is the best little tv! Beautiful picture and they last forever! I have 2 that I've had forever! The original remote makes it worth much more.
kitchen aid is worth a lot they never die I have had mine for 25 yrs! I I love that carved wood Chinese's man !! some of that blue glass may be worth some money if you can identify it!
What i do with mattresses , is cut along the thin part right around (the crust of a piece of bread ) with an angle grinder cut off wheel (note: do out side and have water hose ready) . once you have gone all the way around the mattress , pull on the material / Fabric and it will separate from the box metal frame (Do both sides ) place the fabric part in the your bin and , then the steel frame can be recycled . saves dump fees
They should never be lain on its side. The lubrication system works so you never need to oil the machine, but if they get upside down or on its side, the oil seals will leak and start dripping into the bowl as it runs. Definitely turn it on and run it for a while to see if it leaks.
I'd love to see all the pottery and Christmas stuff in a video. I love that Lind of stuff. The glass flowers are beautiful! Would love to see them all unwrapped and displayed some how. Even if they were just set out on a table or put in the vases.
So happy mom is home an doing well! Now I'm gonna bust your chops. When moving, loading truck, good stuff in first, last minute goes in last. Unloading in storage, last minute goes in first, good stuff is front. Exceptions if you have smart people an put big furniture in back. 🤗
Ashley needs to smile all the time when she's on camera. She's got that "julia roberts" kinda smile... not that she's a look alike, but when she smiles, she lights up the screen or the room....
Wade...you two are so cute hahaha...we love your mom too! We are super stoked for this coming saturday. We are going to our first ever storage auction. We cannot wait to share our vid. It will be our first ever yputube vid. We are hoping to start a channel of our own but are stuck on what we would even call it lol. Much love from Guam Nick and Anna
Mikasa dishes are usually bought at higher end stores...Dont quote me on that . The Tahari dress as well. The pottery bowl and those pieces may be a chime .It was lovely .Blue Danube is an older pattern of china.I recall my grandma having some .
What an amazing amount of goods that were carefully packed. I have a piece of Bristol Blue cobalt glass and it's a very dense colour, I can't see through it plus it's heavy. There's a lot of English bone china too, it's not cheap at all. All in all I think you will get your money back, how much did you pay Wade, you never said. Love and hugs to you all, say hello to Denise please and I'm glad she's doing so well. God bless you all Mary-Ellen UK
I’m sure you’ve already found out that that blue Danube China it’s worth a lot of money. Please be more careful you’re throwing things in those boxes and I’m just scared to death you’re going to break something. I suppose it doesn’t matter it’s yours to break but there’s just a friendly suggestion. Take what you need and leave the rest. Thanks
You strike me as a loving family man. I imagine it would be hard sometimes to think about the people whose belongings you purchase, and the hardships they must be going through. I'm interested in buying units, but I don't know how well I would deal with those emotions. Do you have any tips on how you handle those feelings. Also, have you ever been contacted by someone who's unit you bought and watched you go through it? I imagine that would be particularly difficult.
47:12 Myrtle wood clock. Myrtle wood is from the NW costal area and prized. It is usually just slices or chunks made into items. Some of it is very expensive. Dust off, use water to clean the surface and then see if there is damage. Less is more with this product. Then use a mixture of water and some dawn to clean up heavy dirt.
1000.00. I love to see the family showing (without being fake) such Heart felt feelings I’m also seeing such sweetheart feelings He has for his wife He was raised right by his mom I notice how He appreciates the beauty of the things
The glass flowers are blown. Very fragile. Lordy I would love them an I would love that beautiful bong... No, I don't smoke but I do have a GOOD eye. 🤗
08:40 Pretty plates - and quite pricey. 12:20 A vintage (1980's) Sony Trinitron. Those were the first flat(tish) screened TV's on the market (I had one of those, nice quality). 46:45 A rotating TV stand 54:50 Very nice china. Can't say I know the brand tho, sorry, no help here 1:00:42 That yellow thingy is a glass cutter I don't know how much you paid for the whole shebang, but I'm sure it as well worth it! Oh, and have a great day at the con.
Wade you missed a great opportunity your wife opened a door and you didn’t walk through. Next time she says then why’d you ask me. Your response is because I value your opinion and I love you. Never miss a chance to make the wife smile. I’m sure you know that.
I loved meeting you the other night.I accidentally bought 4 tickets when only 2 people were bowling but it is what it is. But I'm very glad I was able to meet you.Im getting older & not that great on computers , I still dont know how I ended up with buying 4 when it was for only 2 bowlers.oh well .Id go again but I would have my daughters do the tickets 😒
Royal Albert is wayyyyy collectible. I have an old teacup and saucer I paid $35 for on Etsy because it was so beautiful. Sold some too. Love the blue cobalt vases. Sell them all day long. This is an amazing locker. What fun to watch. I’m doing it in snippets so sorry for the multiple responses.
Wade: I never heard you say how much you paid for this unit. Please post it here, or if any other viewer know please post it here as a reply to me, thank you,
Happy to see your gloves, your knife, and Ashley. So happy to hear that mom is now better and will be back with us, although I've loved having Ashley and the boys with you. Most of all I'm happy for another storage unit video!!! Oh and its pronounced pie rex Pyrex. I'm guessing you paid 675.00 for the unit. Can't wait to watch the rest and see all the goodies.
The thing with the glass bottom that you thought might be for oil, I think it is used for whiskey. You put whiskey in the bottom and then you pump it into glasses. At one time there would have been little glasses that sat on the tray. My folks had one - it was actually pretty cool!
P.s. its "py- as you cut a slice of chocolate PIE, THEN Rex like you call your dog , come in Rex its bed time. Now all together pyrex dishes, mixing bowls. Love job
$410 Some mattresses will actually sell pretty well. Regarding a whole house being in storage.. loses job ..loses house.. moves in with relatives.. no room for items.. no money to pay storage bill.. thus the unit comes up for auction. Other possibility. One member of the house gets put in jail and the family spends all their money to try and get a good lawyer for the upcoming trial.
P.P.S, several videos you found in the cook ing boxes a round metal maby alluminum that came to a point of the bottom half of a solid sort of strainer. With handle. Then you found Anand size probably made of carved WOOD it too came to a smoothe point that would fit into the center of the strainer-like thing.its used to mash boiled potatoes or as the technique is " to RICE the potatoes. Soon after this find there was a roung( little larger than grapefruit) shiney silver looking or ten ( tin) with a handle and an attached to the center of shiney straner thing. I think this was a flour sifter and or another type of potato ricer. So fondly mrsjob

Really like the fact that you try to give back the personal stuff cuz I know I would be happy to get my stuff back if I were in that situation!!!
Hi Wade! This is Valerie. I don't knows what telegram is.

The plate that you admired and said that it came from England was like my Grandmother's dishes. Nice memory. Thanks

Wade. Invest in a small, folding table to set your boxes on to be examined. You are straining your back from box on high to ground, lift rotate.
Linda Johnson save that back with a folding table with a knife taped or Velcroed to the underside..,.
So happy your back unpacking. I have missed you so. I also had the same dresser since the early '60s. My husband restained it a few yrs ago. Thanks for coming back unpacking.

Hi to your awesome family from Glasgow Scotland
I think you are smashing. I am hooked on viewing the finds. Most of all, I am suffering from coffe grinder envy from the last one I saw.
Blue is the most popular glassware and the hardest to find.
Blue glass is worth good money
Cords are worth good money in there self.
Could be money in papers and books, make sure to look.
Great blue glass collection.
nice sterling spoons. One my favorite things to find.

About twenty years ago I paid $125.00 for my Kitchen Aid mixer. It is a wonderful product.

Just wondering...why does everyone pick through stuff IN the unit instead of doing it after it's been moved to a more permanent place?
CherokeeMaiden81 dump runs first so they don’t have to move it twice
They want the public opinion on value and identity..its all fun.
I ask same thing wait until you get to a place where you are satisfied
I'm excited to see my finds tomorrow. I won my first online auction for a 10x20 unit.
