    Hey Joe! As a regular I wanted you to know I’ve v recently stopped dollar cost averaging bc the etfs seems too rich, what do you think?

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  7 місяців тому +2

      Always good to hear from you Adam. The magic of dollar cost averaging is that it works in good times or bad and you don't need to do anything. Just constantly be investing over time as cash becomes available. If you're feeling confident in your ability to gauge market direction and relative valuations, then adjust your contributions to overweight your convictions. Else just keep doing the same thing. Joe P.

    Hi Joe. Thanks for your Thoughts about british stocks. I think spectris could be very interesting. And by the way linde was a german company before a merger with the us company praiyair ;-) Thank you very much fpr teachinng us and explaining us your thoughtss about these companies. Greetings from germany and thank you for this excellent work! Jan

      Great to hear from zee Germans as always! ;) You know what's odd? We couldn't find one dividend champion (increased dividends for 20 years or more) in Germany. Doesn't seem right, but perhaps it's not something the business/investor culture is fond of.

      @@Nanalyze Hi Joe. This is the real problem of the german culture....the state germany does not want to have investors and they do everything to punish us when we decide to invest. You have to pay taxes on your gains and so it becomes in some way not attractive. For example if you are gambling with bitcoin and you sell it after one year it is completly tax free. when you hold a stock you always have to pay taxes. It is soooooo crazy here man and it is getting here really worse because of really bad politician work and nobody seems to be interestet in these facts....have a nice weekand my man and thank you for your great work! Jan

      Linde is interesting. It is actually an Irish domiciled company but has its headquarters in the UK and so is registered in the UK as an overseas company. Its shares are listed on Nasdaq. As a UK shareholder I don't pay Irish withholding tax as it is a UK overseas company so is treated as if it is a UK company.

    Nice video, thank you Joe! I would love to see something like this (maybe even with much lower track record, but high chance of potential future record) for emerging markets

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  7 місяців тому

      Now that's an interesting idea! Let's forget about lowering the threshold for a moment. Does any company in the emerging markets has a dividend track record of 25 years or more? We don't know of any. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index has 1,373 constituents. Not a single champion among the lot? We'll have to look into that a bit more because it seems hard to believe. As for lowering the track record, 15 is probably maximum before the value of that indicator starts to weaken too much. Joe P.

    British dividends Americans can buy at least without the double dip taxation due to agreements between the nations.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  7 місяців тому

      Britain should do tit for tat. Perhaps they welcome the foreign dollars? Not sure of the reasoning behind the dividend taxation issue for foreigners who invest in American firms.

    • @azulsimmons1040
      @azulsimmons1040 7 місяців тому

      @@Nanalyze America and Britain have an agreement that makes it so you will only be taxed by your home country if an American invests in British companies or a Brit invests in American companies. Whereas I found out if I invest in a French company as an American, I will be taxed by France and America when I sell the stock for gains or receive a dividend. This taught me I need to check the financial agreements between nations or I risk seriously biting into my gains as both nations tax me.

    Poor quality and data pointless.Just forget the ESG part and just think on the numbers on return on each company. If you looked outside your data there are Index Funds which have paid dividends for 58 years CTY (FTSE 250) , Bats has paid a dividend for 25 years (FTSE100) and PHP paid a dividend for 28 years (FTSE 250).There are plenty of companies which have paid dividends across all sectors for decades. Your outlook is to narrow.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  6 місяців тому

      Poor quality and data? What do you mean by that? This isn't about ESG, and that's not even remotely associated with our strategy. You missed the point entirely it seems. It's all about INCREASING dividends each year, not just paying them.

    RWS is on the AIM market in the UK, so be careful

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  2 місяці тому

      Thank you for bringing that up!
      And the LSE, yes?
      So the concern about trading on AIM is that a lot of shifty companies do? Kind of like the USA OTC equivalent in the U.K.? Would love to hear a bit more color on this. Thank you! Joe P.

    • @colinevewright
      @colinevewright 2 місяці тому +1

      @@Nanalyze Hi, The AIM market (Alternative Investment Market) is run by the LSE but it is for smaller growth companies. The LSE 'main' market is the better regulated market. AIM companies tend to be smaller, less liquid and less regulated so higher risk. Personally I only invest in FTSE100 or maybe FTSE250 companies. So those are the 100 largest on the LSE which has about 1700 companies in total. When most people talk about being on the London Stock Exchange they mean the main market and not AIM.

    • @Nanalyze
      @Nanalyze  2 місяці тому

      @@colinevewright Thank you very much for the added info. Very useful. So I wanted to be clear on the definitions for those who are not familiar. There are two main markets on which companies trade on the LSE: the main market and the alternative investment market. RWS trades on AIM which is LSE's international market for smaller companies and has a simpler admissions process. Indeed smaller companies are more risky and that's why larger companies are rewarded in our methodology. Thank you very much for raising this. Joe P.
