One of my friends has Australian parents, but grew up in Sweden. When he got older, ff course he wanted to go back and see Australia. As a photografer and a wild life enthusiast, he went out into the bush to get some pictures. He quickly realized that the billabong was no good, because the "logs" he saw at the edge turned out to be sunbasking salties. So, instead he found a lizard. Under a bush. Since he didn´t want to scare it, he apporached slowly. The last photos of that lizard are very blurry, but you can clearly see a big mouth with some teeth. Turned out the lizard wasn´t afraid at all, instead kind of angry that he woke it up. I guess that was a bungarra.

Sometimes happened when I and my ex-girlfriend were feeding her rattlesnakes with live rabbits lol 😉The thing is that once the rattlesnake bites the rabbit-if you just take it away-it actually will not die as one would expect but will be experiencing huge pain and paralysis from the venom until about a day after that-than it will gradually regain control of it's body and eventually will be alive:the venom itself doesn't kill them!So when the rattlesnake eats the rabbit it is at that point nearly always still alive,and so you also can hear sometimes how the rabbit is trying to squeal inside the snake after being completely swallowed lol👍😂😎
Damn my ex has a real crap load of rattlesnakes-she is obsessed with them:I remember those were really all the possible colors,different sizes and so on:she had albinos,some other odd colorations and really 3 dozen of different ones!Also she had several puff adders,a very funny snake called Gabon viper-that one is the most boring thing to feed live because it kills absolutely any feeder item in under one second from bite to death,and finally her real gem of the collection that she was really proud of the most and especially so because she was able to handle them with bare hands-those were two breeding pairs of adult huge black mambas!By the way those were also large enough to eat adult wild rabbits but strangely enough yet I noticed right away that Gabon vipers were much faster killing anything than mambas and even reportedly an inland taipan Is slower!Gabon just bites and immediately the rabbit simply convulses and taps out being already dead!

These Bungarra lizards don't have teeth. They swallow most things whole. You see them rubbing their necks against something hard to push the meal down. If they eat another lizard with a really long tail then the tail can stick out of their mouth for ages.
