i’ve always been insecure abt my lips but only online, when i’m out in puplic i don’t even think about my lips and i never look at anyone else’s lips and think they will look better with bigger lips, i feel so bad for these younger kids who are so insecure all because of social media’s love for beauty. a 10 year old girl i know literally said to me she was insecure and wanted to look like all these influencers 10 YEARS OLD my heart literally broke.
It’s funny you say that because one of my friends, who has lip filler and wants to dissolve, says that she didn’t think about how it would feel to go about daily life with fillers when she got them (outside of taking selfies for Instagram). She says that now, she subconsciously “tucks” her lips in to avoid that ducky look in public so people don’t immediately clock her fillers. Social media can be so poisonous!
In normal people land, lip and face filler and false lashes are really obvious & not natural. I have seen some women like this in the wild & it isn't a good look IMO.
@@batclVb I'm honestly so glad I grew up without internet and social media, and I'm glad that I have a job where I interact with tons of people daily - face to face. I think these are integral pieces of how I can manage to not let myself get sucked into that crap because it's definitely easy to. My point being exactly what you said - you only feel these ridiculous insecurities online but not when you'reout and about living your life. These insecurities are born of smoke and mirrors. I don't look around at people and dissect every line, bump, hair, etc! I look and think wow she's pretty or damn she's got great hair, etc. Most people in reality don't worry about these tedious physical so called flaws. We all look different with different weights, butts, boobs, lips, eyes, etc and we all see eachother as beautiful in our individual ways. That's healthy. That's normal. I just realized how many times I said "etc" 😆
Same I always thought mine were too thin, even before lip filler became super popular. And after it became worse, but as I've gotten older they have gotten bigger. They fit my face and I can make them look larger with make up if I want. 😊
yes and same with botox. ppl swear up and down it’s only bad when it’s overdone but i can always pick up when someone has had botox cuz i get this unsettling feeling from their lack of expression. they just don’t realize cuz they’re not interacting with themselves, they’re only taking a selfie and looking the mirror. in a still picture the results can look amazing but in movement (or lack of movement shall i say) it’s totally off putting and bizarre.
I had them done and no one knows and everybody compliments my lips, it honestly depends on who does them, good work is the one you can't tell if you got it done, bad work is the one you can notice a mile away
Have you seen the videos where people had an MRI and it showed filler they thought was dissolved had travelled elsewhere in their body. So frigging scary to think about.
maybe not a privilege but something we can‘t take for granted. And losing job opportunities surely isn‘t the fault of people inevitably getting older. The whole system and the people who allow for that to happen are the problem. @@kaniavaconiomodelingmelani9917

As someone who has lupus, it’s literally called moon face, it’s from being on prednisone. The reason for the fluctuations in her face shape is the meds she’s on and not lupus itself. If she’s on prednisone her face will swell, when she tapers off the meds her swelling will subside. People with lupus have flares. When you are flaring you take a huge dose of prednisone (what they call being pulsed). It’s IV steroid therapy. Your face swells, you become aggressive, some ppl binge eat, you cry a lot, you have extreme insomnia , intense mood swings, it’s horrible. I highly doubt she is even medically cleared for fillers.
I also have lupus and moon face does not make you look like a bosmer from Oblivion, she's got fillers. Her face has fluctuated with weight gain but it was an all over gain. One day she showed up with super puffy cheeks even though she lost some of the weight.
Don’t have lupus but it was suspected so I was put on prednisone to see if it would help. Face swelled up so bad I had people in high school asking what happened and if I was ok. I got off it and it’s mostly gone away now
@@DiigitalLove No two people have the same complications. I have lupus and had kidney failure, just like Selena. Kidney failure causes you to retain fluids, as does the anti rejection meds you take after a transplant. I’m no Stan but I doubt she has filler, with all the health issues that accompanies lupus. I don’t know your situation but lupus looks different for everyone.
Reminds me of a Surgeon being asked if botox will make someone look younger in their 20s. They said no, they’ll instead look like everyone their age getting botox.
I’m 32 and I didn’t get into skin care until about 29 or 30. I did a decent job before, but I didn’t research as hard. And I’ll tell you right now. My skin looks amazing, and just having clear lovely skin helps out so much. I look fantastic, and no one ever things I am 32. Say no to fillers, take care of your skin, drink water, take care of your hair, your mental health, and the way you present yourself to the world. You’ll be ok
Get your beauty sleep , early to bed , and wash your face with mild soap and water regularly, take walks for rosy cheeks and bright eyes. No make up needed. Look natural see men notice! Be kind to others and stay calm, I heard men find you very attractive when you behave like that.
I have crap skin and no one believes I'm my age, I regularly get undershot by a decade. Stay young at heart, stay out of the sun, don't drink so goddamn much, and don't risk your base with a bunch of procedures.
As a female at 46 I believe that eating good drinking water and staying away from alot of drinking drugs and taking care of your skin. Is greatly beneficial during the aging process.
Nothing ages you faster than over exposure to sun, smoking, drinking & dehydration. Putting on sunscreen, drinking water & eating vegies + quality sleep goes a very long way - it's not easy, but it's not hard either.
Genetics is important too. I'm 32. I don't drink, never smoked, avoid processed foods, drink lots of water. Live a healthy life. Had a skin care regime since I was 14 with daily SPF 50. I still developed frown lines and "smokers lines", as I take after my dad and his genetic makeup. For this reason, I get forehead Botox and am getting a small amount of lip filler tomorrow for the lip lines. It's beyond unfair 😂
I was thinking that too. I was a teenager in the 80s and I think we suffered from fashion blindnes, make-up blindness and dont start get me started on hairstyle blindness. Google A Flock of Seagulls. You'll see what I mean.🤣 At least the blindness we suffered from didn't turn into health issues, just major cringe. I feel so sorry for young people these days. There is just so much pressure on you.
When I was working at a derm clinic, I definitely saw a couple of women who had filler blindness. The doctors of course aren’t gonna prevent them from continuing to get injected cause $$$
@@cooolinoffI wish more dermatologists and plastic surgeons would pair up with therapist clinics so they could refer people who are coming in a lot. It annoys me how transgender people getting medical transition are expected to go to therapy before altering their bodies and having that covered by insurance, but for cisgender aligned cosmetic alterations get a more lax pass because it isn't considered "as extreme" or because it's being paid out of pocket so society doesn't care as much.

Filler will 100% cause autoimmune disease in some people. Any foreign substances/bodies will cause that in susceptible people as the immune system goes into a hyper response against the presence of the foreign material. I have autoimmunity so have looked into this extensively. I have zero filler/botox/implants etc myself so that wasn't my cause but I have come across many people when researching who have developed autoimmune conditions after breast implants, fillers and botox. Also as shown in scans and studies recently "dissolved" filler doesn't actually fully dissolve and scans show some of it still in people's faces and bodies years later. An absolute health ticking time bomb.
Yup! I have EDS and with it I also have mast cell dysfunction disorder now me person haven't done it but my mother and sister have and both of them now are struggling with their auto immunes of lupus and sjogrens.
Correct. Every celeb we see that’s saying “I’m reversing my cosmetic work” they’re still getting stuff done. Whether it’s lasers, surgery, biostimulators, etc. it’s like the whole topic of quiet luxury vs new money
@@maryjanedodo you can get filler dissolved by injecting an enzyme but it has to be done by a very skilled injector to avoid inadvertently breaking down collagen and elastin. most injectors do not get enough training when it comes to dissolving and will try and persuade you to not to avoid making matters worse due to their lack of expertise. HA filler doesn't get metabolized in the body over time but the amount isn't as much as the manufacturer's say. It's very dependent on lifestyle, genetics, your body's immune system, and metabolism. So now we're seeing some patients who still have filler in their face after it's been years since their last treatment. but also, picking the appropriate product for the area you're treating, injection depth, and technique play a huge role in how long filler can last. In some areas of the face (jaw, anterior cheek, chin) it's not too problematic so long as the filler isn't causing lymph drainage issues and it's injected deep enough to where it layers on the bone, giving more structural support to the underlying tissue and ligaments. Those fillers tend to be more firm to mimic bone and when placed properly, you won't have to worry about the filler retaining too much water. Where people get into trouble are the hyper-mobile areas like under eye, lips, medial cheek, nasal labial folds, ect. But also, it's case to case.

Filler & Botox were originally created for women over 50 to have non-surgical beauty treatments. How it started migrating to younger people is scary. I’d rather look my age than look fake or misshapen. In the Victorian era, gray hair & wrinkles were seen as signs of beauty. Living to comb gray hair & see where you’ve smiled is a blessing.
I’m almost 27 and always wondered why I still don’t “look my age”. I get confused for a high schooler or college freshman at times and then I realize everyone around me is getting work done making them look much older.

Aging could be the new trend if we want it to be. I think it’s something that is such an important part of being human! I hope when I get older and start to see my face change I can just accept it. Social media is so unhealthy sometimes….
Good old fashioned sunscreen (50+ on the face babes!), a good self tan face serum to compensate for not crisping your skin and drinking water… does wonders. Forget the makeup. Just leave it all be.
If you get fillers you can dissolve them, but botox will paralize the muscle for almost a year...we all know what happens when a muscle is paralyzed right? it looses straight, the more botox you put on the more you'll need because you are paralyzing muscles and making them weak.
That’s not really true… with Botox it’s important to inject the right muscle groups. We have depressor muscles that when weakened you actually need less units over time. The issue is there are more bad injectors than good. Good injectors know how Botox can affect the muscle they inject and the surrounding muscle groups. And a good injector knows that it’s uncanny to eliminate all wrinkles and fine lines. But when you atrophy a depressor muscle, the pull down effect is less so you need less units over time. It really is all about the injector you go to.
I get it done for medical purposes and it really does only last about 3 months . It prevents nerve endings from releasing acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that causes muscle cells to contract, but the body produces new neurotransmitters to override the toxin after 3 months .
Botox only lasts 3-4 months. Only Dysport lasts the longest at 6 months. There is no neomodulator in the market that lasts a year. If you’re over injected, you will have botulism poisoning and need to go to the hospital…and sue that injector! 😂

Hey at 12:26 you used a photo of a woman who actually only had ONE rhinoplasty and was severely botched by her surgeon, you can watch a Botched episode about her and her story. While I think that it's a good point to make about many revisions, let's not give this woman the misidentification that she was someone who got excessive numbers of surgery please.
I'm nearly 50yrs old and have been with my husband since I was 28. I catch him smiling and gazing at me all the time. He consistently tells me how beautiful I am. I've noticed wrinkles and sagging over the past 2 years causing me to feel more subconscious. But as Ive pondered what I could do to make myself look slightly more youthful, I've come to realize that not only do I love myself but my husband still thinks I'm the most Beautiful woman in the world. Woman, you do not need to permanently disfigure yourself to look Beautiful. All we need is to remember to love ourselves and to build healthy relationships with our partners.
The dissolution of filler using hyaluronidase is also dangerous and destroys tissues not just in the injected area but other parts of the body as well.

I have always had a big thing with being very very insecure about my body and how I look in general because I have been called ugly and all these different things through my 1st grade years and my preteen years so this is a wonderful message that lael has sent out to say that you are absolutely beautiful and amazing in the body and face that you have been given and that I and every single person knows that they are beautiful to :)
You're actually such a beautiful person. You're so kind and real with the things you say, you instill confidence in other people instead of the opposite to make yourself confident. You have such a good heart and soul, and you have a realistically positive outlook on life. Not to mention, you're also so pretty! Not that it matters because physical beauty is subjective. But anyone and everyone who had a heart, brain, and a sense of self could tell that you're beautiful, smart, and empathetic. You're amazing. Thank you for these videos.

Im not sure about the US, but in the UK anyone can become licensed to inject filler. There's a lot of people who should have been told 'no' a while back but now their filler has aged snd disfigured them.
Idk why ppl think lip fillers are cute, im seeing too many women with stretched out pale lips. The bruising around the mouth, the fact that they can’t practically move their lips anymore. It’s disgusting.

You women for really are so beautiful naturally and don’t need to be doing all these things to look any better, in reality…you’re harming yourself and you really just look worse and fake.
they don't have their head on right. I don't know what kind of things these women went through to make them think so little of themselves, but insecurities and social media can be a deadly combination.
So if I can scare yall off: I have breast implants, cheek filler, and Botox. My fillers migrated on one side to my teeth because I have some back teeth issues. If you've ever had wisdom teeth removed your filler will move to the weakest point in your face. My left breast implant popped recently. Dr said that your scar tissue can pull the implant plug out. Luckily I had saline so my body absorbed it. I had been considering getting them removed for a while, but they made the decision for me 😂 I had to get the other one popped and now I have to have surgery to get them removed. I have had one eye halfway close from Botox, and yes it was stuck that way for months. I do still get Botox I just get a lot less and I go to a reputable injector rather than LETTING MY STEPMOM DO IT! wtf 🤦🏼♀️ Do what makes you happy but understand the consequences of what COULD happen. And don't think it won't happen to you because it definitely can! All the love! ✌🏼
Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️ we always assume these “side effects” or potential problems would never happen to us but you’re right, they totally can.
I have never done any surgery in my life, but I have enough ppl in my circle who have done something to their faces. Even my school friend did some Botox (and they are like 24, why? Idk), fillers, etc. I can’t say I am against it because I literally do not care about ppl who do it, that’s their business. All I can say now is that the amount of ppl who do plastic surgery and they are literally in their early 20s-30s looks kind of concerning because this is mostly a new stuff and it’s like using some new medical experimental medicine, and you are almost the first person in line who would try it (metaphorically). I don’t know about the medical side effects of these procedures too. For me it looks kind of tricky, and sometimes ppl do it because they are insecure (instead of going to therapy). Kardashians are the main example. I will continue to observe the situation btw, I am sure we need like more 5-10 years to discover more side effects and possible risks. Also another thing which is concerning to me is how many unlicensed doctors appeared on TikTok and horrible things they did to their patients 😢
Fillers are for fat loss!!! I’m 49 and I still have fat on my face . Can’t imagine putting more fat on it. Trying to get it slim. Now, I’ve put a small amount on my lips, very small on my undereyes. That’s it, cheeks and jaws are huge 😩

East Asian beauty standards are SUPERRRRR TOXIC too, especially when it comes to weight and skin tone/paleness. However, I feel like they are winning in the beauty standards department. The makeup looks - j beauty, k beauty, even some c beauty - is all about accentuating good features and delicately shadowing out the bad. It’s about softness, tiny changes that make a world of difference. Now I’m not talking about gyaru or some other nuanced thing. Talking general mainstream. It’s like clean beauty with an emphasis on cold and neutral colors pinks and greys. The ideal look is childlike and innocent. Whereas here I feel it is more openly vulgar. Like something about those extremely big lips looks perverted. Like DSL anyone? Even their surgeries, which there are countless of, are typically more about subtle changes. I told her no my p.s. said it migrates and he has the mris of ten year patients to prove it. My two cents: fuck trying to be beautiful all the time as if beauty - in and of itself - is a virtue OR that the amount of beauty signifies the amount of worth. Sometimes I look like a seahag and I'm just as worthy then as when I get gussied up.
A lot of people are dying behind the saying "Do whatever makes you happy". That's not something I wouldn't keep repeating, as it sends mixed messages. The people who got the work done were doing "Whatever makes [them] happy". Please refine your message a little more. Happiness is such a temporary thing, but joy is everlasting.
I have never seen fillers in real life that look good. People also seem to forget that they are stretching out their skin, so they will probably have to keep getting filler forever I’m an esthetician and I had a client that had filler above her upper lip for fine lines. The lines never fully dissapeared and after the filler dissolved her lines were even deeper than before she got the filler
I'm happy I've been getting these kinds of videos recently, since I got to experience a bit of this insecurity thanks to a medical procedure I had to go through that gave me a flashback to the mirror scene in mean girls. In summary, I had to have a septoplasty and everyone was asking me if I was taking the chance to also get a rhinoplasty, and I was like ?? I never had insecurities with it and didn't want to fix what wasn't broken
My body has never been good at sleeping. But I had the worst month ever during this summer where I literally got only 3 hours of sleep a day. I saw drastic aging just from that. Sleep is the number one anti aging tool! If you are able and capable of getting good sleep, get it! I wish I was good at sleep.
No but one of my best friends did twice on her lips and once on her chin and he loved it and i loved it for her buttttt for it to become a maintenance thing…i hope she doesn’t prolong it
I also think we shouldn’t shame people who get work done either. There’s a reason it exists. I did my nose three years ago. It was best the best decision I have ever made in my life. I used to never take pictures of myself because I hated my nose. I gave it time and tried to be ok with my original nose. I am now happy and confident. So yea let’s not say it’s all bad. In moderation, it can be done well.
She had reiterated that point throughout her video and did not declare each cosmetic procedure as evil or bad. The whole point of the video is what happens when you do this to your body, body/facial dysmorphia, and the outside world. I respect your choice with your body, but bottom line I think this video was meant to combat the glorification of cosmetic procedures rather than to determine them as evil.
I just discovered you today. Your bone structure is amazing! You’re gorgeous and do not need any cosmetic surgery. You’re a natural beauty. Thank you for all of your research. I’m hoping you’re saving a lot of young women from getting very very premature fillers a Botox. I’ve always said back in the day, stars only started doing cosmetic surgeries, etc. when they were in their late 40s and 50s. I don’t even think teens need all the serums and creams and make up, let alone actual cosmetic anything. Not in their 20s or even 30s. It’s way too soon and a waste of lots of money, and can lead to permanent damage and who knows what else.
Courtney Cox was my favourite celebrity to see dissolve her fillers. She was a super cutie on Friends. Then all of a sudden yrs later she looked like a swollen 60yr old. At first I just thought, well even with fillers you can’t stop aging. Without her fillers, she looks like a soft 49-50yr old. I mean beautiful. I’d love to see Jennifer Anniston dissolve hers, because I think she’d look stunning.
I’ve always had the thinking “do what you want with your face, it’s not mine”. But what I just can’t shake is Kylie crying about how “she wishes she never did any of this to her body and she wants to be a good role model”…. Once everyone else has already started dissolving and getting things removed. She acts like she is the first to bring this up. Like “listen to me and my mistakes” when others have been learning a long time ago. THEN, she goes on the Ozempic train. SO obnoxious. Next, when so many people are coming out with their stories of how that’s bad, she’ll cry about that too 🙄
Dont forget she never openly admitted anything (besides finally her lips) she said she never did anything else over and over. Like nothing all the sudden on a couch worried about her daughter because of breast implants😂 still not going into the fact she always was lying.🥴
I think Snitchery mentioned in her regretting her fillers vid that once you get one thing done/filled, your face is going to look disproportional after bc you’re so used to your regular proportions and with the clinicians in your ear whispering ‘oh your lips would be better with cheek filler…oh if you got your jaw done you’d be better balanced’ and before you know it your whole face is done over
I’ve never gotten filler and I’m 29, I have smile lines already but they aren’t super deep, but I’m afraid of needles. I do want one of those fancy facials, but that’s mostly because I’m into skin care and I’ve heard fantastic things.
Months late, but yeah, I would say no to the Lupus. My mother has had Lupus since I was 5 years old and while she had many flair ups that caused swelling (usually though, it was her medication, like being on steroids & antibiotics that caused her to have a Moon Face) it never looked like that or happened in such strategic places. So I think the likely explanation is that Selena gaining weight & swelling from her illness is causing her previously subtle filler work to look exaggerated.
Fillers are there to help you look younger. When you're in your 20s you're always young. If you worry about you skins look good skin care for your skin type can help.
Technically we're "immortal" up until the age of 25 because your cells replace faster than they're dying off. But once you're over 25, the replacement stars slowing down and that's what aging is xD. (i just like the part about being pretty much "immortal" until 25 😂😂)
My mom was going to get lip fillers at 61 and I convinced her not to go get fillers. Thank goodness she listened. I paid for her to try Morpheus 8 and ILP facial treatments and she looks amazing. It took years off her face, but is natural and looks normal.
All this fake stuff to become 'more attractive' is such a joke. What makes you 'attractive' is your kindness, your smile, your empathy, your laugh, your drive, your sense of humor, all those things. The 'important' stuff, the REAL stuff, you cannot buy nor fake. Be yourself, be kind, and that's what people are truly attracted to.
There was a young woman I heard tell her story on Dr. Mike’s podcast. She got injections done (they were supposed to be Vitamin B12/fat dissolving), and they were contaminated and a sketchy med spa. She was in the hospital for half a year receiving iv antibiotics. She literally almost died.
As my mom always said, natural beauty will always call more attention than something fake Wearing makeup, and even doing small changes to enchament your face sure, but nothing that will completly change your face estructure, it never goes well
Being very close to 60 now I have to push the thoughts out that want me to get a facelift. I was fine until 55 then, last four years it seems like i'm aging in baby years where every week, I see the difference. It is not easy but I am fortunate that I have lived this long which is why I want to celebrate my age.
Honestly, I think fillers look horrible 99% of the time. Completely disregarding the premature aging, it just looks...uncanny valley to me. You know? It doesn't look right.
My dentist tries to push treatments on to me all the time as well! She'd LOVE to give my turkey teeth. First time I met her, she asked if I'm bothered by how yellow my teeth are and purposefully looked shocked when I said, no 🙄😂 Next appointment suggested a procedure to cover some yellowness near the gumline, I said, no! I think the only good thing to come out of lip filler is BAME women finally were part of the beauty standard, i remember when i was younger being told my lips were ugly or they were DSL lips 🤢 (and many other racial slurs) and women who are respected more by society having this attribue was probably one of the best things to happen
I always felt so insecure about all the Insta faces online. And I am grateful now, that I didn’t have the money to get all these things done. I am 27 and I look like I’m 18 because everyone around me looks 40 with their filler. It’s crazy and sad. In real life they really don’t look good. It’s so obvious and just looks wrong..
You may find when you reach 60 that changing your face is no longer on your to do list, lol. I thought about getting a number of procedures over the years, but the older I got, the more content I was in my own skin. I'm 61 now and would never risk my health to look a little younger for a little longer. And once you start, it's very difficult to stop. I've got way better things to do with my time and money, and I don't want to see a stranger in the mirror. I've grown rather accustomed to my face! :)
My opinion: Selena Gomez got work done BUT some of it IS either lupus or steroids (prednisone probably) to control the lupus. For 18 years I complained about not feeling well to doctors (at 18 years old I knew something was very wrong but I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 36) between 34-36 I was on and off prednisone for pretty much the whole time. The steroid use caused changes in my face and my body, and also resulted in about a 30 pound weight gain (that no matter what I do diet, exercise I can’t get off). It’s messed with my already fragile self image so much and I can only imagine what it must have done to someone like Selena Gomez growing up in the limelight. But yeah my 2 cents: it’s probably a combination of both things but whereas most celebrities do it to look younger it really seems like she’s trying to do it to feel more like herself
I started getting Botox and fillers in my late 30s after years of chronic illness and pain and drastic weightloss made my face literally fall. I only needed it twice and I use skin care to maintain. Don’t know why I would need to get it every 6-9 months and didn’t even think about it in my 20s. Might do it again once or twice every decade if needed.
That Kardashian at 24 seconds in looks like a normal person before fame, but in reverse! Seeing those pictures side by side 🫣 Dunno if I'm more shocked or sad! 🤯💔
Selena's fans are in absolute denial about all the work Selena has had done and they just blame everything on lupus. I'm here to tell yall lupus doesn't make your breasts go up like 4 cup sizes in a single month, lupus doesn't shrink your nose, lupus doesn't drastically lift your eyebrows, lupus doesn't fill your cheekbones specifically, lupus doesn't inflate your upper lip bigger than your bottom lip, lupus doesn't give you cat eye shape and lupus definitely doesn't give you veneers..they just can't face reality that their favorite celebrity has had a lot of work done. It is sad because Selena was so gorgeous naturally. She was a true natural beauty and she ruined it for herself..(edit: and yes, Hailey looks great. People love to try saying she had a lot done but she really hasn't. Her body is from years and years of ballet training and her face is nearly identical to when she was younger. The only work she has had done is she fixed her hooded eyes and gets lip filler. Hailey is very all natural for the industry she is in and for the friends that she has. Most women in that world have wayyy more work done, so good on Hailey.)
Catwoman 2004. Hedare Beauty Beau-line. When you stop using the products your face disintegrates over time. 19 years old getting fillers? Yikes! I remember when people my age were getting Botox. Crazy to see how they look today.

I would love to see your research on Sculptra. I was scheduled for the procedure, but watching it be injected so close to the eye on a UA-cam video made me cancel it. If you are alarmed by fillers and Botox, you should see sculptra. I still do a very conservative amount of filler above my upper lip due to having lip wrinkles. PSA don’t drink from a straw all of the time unless you have to.
I have larger natural lips and let me tell you, smaller lips aren't bad. You smaller lip girlies can wear bright, bold lipsticks. I feel like I look weird when I try and do anything with my lips. What I mean is, your own natural look probably looks fine
i’ve always been insecure abt my lips but only online, when i’m out in puplic i don’t even think about my lips and i never look at anyone else’s lips and think they will look better with bigger lips, i feel so bad for these younger kids who are so insecure all because of social media’s love for beauty. a 10 year old girl i know literally said to me she was insecure and wanted to look like all these influencers 10 YEARS OLD my heart literally broke.
@@justyeeeeeetit agreed!
Lip fillers look good in photos and videos but terrible in person, that's how I feel when I see people have had them done
yes and same with botox. ppl swear up and down it’s only bad when it’s overdone but i can always pick up when someone has had botox cuz i get this unsettling feeling from their lack of expression. they just don’t realize cuz they’re not interacting with themselves, they’re only taking a selfie and looking the mirror. in a still picture the results can look amazing but in movement (or lack of movement shall i say) it’s totally off putting and bizarre.
I think the same
I had them done and no one knows and everybody compliments my lips, it honestly depends on who does them, good work is the one you can't tell if you got it done, bad work is the one you can notice a mile away
I agree. They always look discolored and bruised, blotchy
Yes along with a lot of other things
Have you seen the videos where people had an MRI and it showed filler they thought was dissolved had travelled elsewhere in their body. So frigging scary to think about.
Yes it is terrifying really for people's long term health.
Yes, mine did that.

Thank you so much for clarifying ❤️ I really appreciate that 🥰
@@LaelHansen No worries! Love your channel
I don’t know your situation but lupus looks different for everyone.
Reminds me of a Surgeon being asked if botox will make someone look younger in their 20s. They said no, they’ll instead look like everyone their age getting botox.

Even having tattoos can cause problems since your body is always fighting it off, and those aren't even as invasive as filler or botox.
Filler literally stretches your skin because it adds weight to your facial connective tissue. That will age you no matter what. Gravity is gravity.
Its so scary actually 😭 even after you “dissolve” those fillers your skin will never be the same
Plus scar tissue can develop too which I imagine could create unevenness/lumpiness
Gravity always wins!

I think it's more about them being lied to about the fact they dissolve - probably because clinics want regular clients

All I can think about is Millennals getting confused for Gen Z in a few years. I'm 32, and these women look older than I do.
Also Botox only lasts 3-4 months
I get it done for medical purposes and it really does only last about 3 months . It prevents nerve endings from releasing acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that causes muscle cells to contract, but the body produces new neurotransmitters to override the toxin after 3 months .
And fillers can migrate rather than dissolve
Botox only lasts 3-4 months. Only Dysport lasts the longest at 6 months. There is no neomodulator in the market that lasts a year. If you’re over injected, you will have botulism poisoning and need to go to the hospital…and sue that injector! 😂

SAME 😂😂 the baby fat is STILL CLINGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE
It’s body dsymorphia.
And it needs to be researched more within the medical and psychology industries.
I completely agree, more on this in this Saturdays video!!! 🤓
I don't think The medical industry is there to help you, I think it's there to milk money out of you ,so I would take their help with a grain of salt .
“She could have been mistaken for a 34 year old woman.” …me, being 34 😑 lol
a 34 year old version of herself, not you. stretch before you reach
@@__mN3O let’s not pretend like that wasn’t a shady comment. it’s not reaching, especially considering women are often told they’re ancient once they’re 30+.
@@pabloescobarschanclas I think it meant that she was looking 10 years older, not that 34 year olds are ugly. I am 37 and it never even occurred to me, that it was shady

Like moving something a few millimeters
I have had my nose done. I love it. My boobs done ~ I’m happy with them. Have had Botox once over a year ago.. but havnt went back for more. My plastic surgeon also told me back in 2018 “NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET FILLERS! They migrate!” My Botox lady tried telling me I could use chin filler to make my chin more oval. I told her no my p.s. said it migrates and he has the mris of ten year patients to prove it. My Botox nurse nearly laughed in my face and tried telling me how absurd a p.s. wud tell me this & now the proof is being made public. I’m soo beyond grateful I listened to my plastic surgeon.
liar liar pants on fire
@@whoeusbsknsi okay.. Call Dr. speigels office and ask him what his thoughts are of facial fillers..😂 I’m not going to argue with you. The new studies prove it blocks your bodies natural lymphatic drainage system. It can also cause cancer. Look at ladies that been getting filled for years. They have to go get “Russian lip lift surgery” cos the filler causes a frowning effect from it going to the corners of your mouth. Go look at these celebrities having it dissolved. It migrates that’s a FACT.. but believe wat you want🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️😂
Black Chyna looks absolutely stunning now!
My two cents: fuck trying to be beautiful all the time as if beauty - in and of itself - is a virtue OR that the amount of beauty signifies the amount of worth. Sometimes I look like a seahag and I'm just as worthy then as when I get gussied up.
Not to mention that beauty standards change every few years. What is considered beautiful today will be out and laughed at a few years down the road.
@@darcy5761 exactly and well said
A lot of people are dying behind the saying "Do whatever makes you happy". That's not something I wouldn't keep repeating, as it sends mixed messages. The people who got the work done were doing "Whatever makes [them] happy". Please refine your message a little more. Happiness is such a temporary thing, but joy is everlasting.
I have never seen fillers in real life that look good. People also seem to forget that they are stretching out their skin, so they will probably have to keep getting filler forever
I’m an esthetician and I had a client that had filler above her upper lip for fine lines.
Have you ever gotten filler before?! What was your experience? 😳
@@LaelHansen nopeeee
Nooo
No but one of my best friends did twice on her lips and once on her chin and he loved it and i loved it for her buttttt for it to become a maintenance thing…i hope she doesn’t prolong it
No ever in My life
No I want get my lips filled but now imma leading to no
I also think we shouldn’t shame people who get work done either.
OMG a Kardashian who lies! Who could have known.
I think Snitchery mentioned in her regretting her fillers vid that once you get one thing done/filled, your face is going to look disproportional after bc you’re so used to your regular proportions and with the clinicians in your ear whispering ‘oh your lips would be better with cheek filler…oh if you got your jaw done you’d be better balanced’ and before you know it your whole face is done over
And you look like a robot . Notice how all these improved women look alike? They're pretty much interchangeable.
I’ve never gotten filler and I’m 29, I have smile lines already but they aren’t super deep, but I’m afraid of needles. I do want one of those fancy facials, but that’s mostly because I’m into skin care and I’ve heard fantastic things.
OH a fancy facial is heavenly! Good for you for not touching your face ❤️ I bet you're absolutely stunning
@@LaelHansen have you had one? What did you get? I’m always researching lol ❤️

So I think the likely explanation is that Selena gaining weight & swelling from her illness is causing her previously subtle filler work to look exaggerated.
finally, someone with some common sense.
Fillers are there to help you look younger. When you're in your 20s you're always young. If you worry about you skins look good skin care for your skin type can help.
Got under eye filler 5 years ago… never again. Right side of my face would swell up for almost two years every morning. Botox ftw!
Technically we're "immortal" up until the age of 25 because your cells replace faster than they're dying off. But once you're over 25, the replacement stars slowing down and that's what aging is xD.
(i just like the part about being pretty much "immortal" until 25 😂😂)
Fillers are making you look older instead of younger
My mom was going to get lip fillers at 61 and I convinced her not to go get fillers. Thank goodness she listened. I paid for her to try Morpheus 8 and ILP facial treatments and she looks amazing. It took years off her face, but is natural and looks normal.
Getting filler dissolved isn't as simple as you're making it sound.
This was a great video. I love this topic- especially the emphasis on the importance of accepting/appreciating your unique natural beauty❤
I completely agree!! 🥰❤️ thank you so much for watching!!
As my mom always said, natural beauty will always call more attention than something fake
Wearing makeup, and even doing small changes to enchament your face sure, but nothing that will completly change your face estructure, it never goes well
I love that 😭😍 I completely agree!! ❤️ it feels amazing to accept the skin you’re in. It’s taken me over 25 years to feel that way!
11:14 yeah, they do look crazy. I don’t accept all this as any sort of beauty standard. It just looks 🤡
It should be illegal for anyone below 21 to get botox/ filler. And even then, people under 50 shouldn't be getting it
My dentist tries to push treatments on to me all the time as well! She'd LOVE to give my turkey teeth. First time I met her, she asked if I'm bothered by how yellow my teeth are and purposefully looked shocked when I said, no 🙄😂 Next appointment suggested a procedure to cover some yellowness near the gumline, I said, no! Third app, suggests procedure again. I asked if it will help with my teeth health, like random express enamel erosion? She said, yes, it could help protect and slow down eroding. I agreed to the treatment. I heard her laugh to her colleague that I wasn't having treatment for aesthetic reasons when I left the room! 🤦🏼♀️
Girl, get a new dentist! 😭
56 year old all natural Florida girl here thank you for doing what you do you give me hope for the future and by the way you are absolutely lovely❤❤
Aging is a blessing not everyone gets to receive. I’m trying to honor it over hating it.
2:15 wait till they realize that you can go to amazing events without Botox 😂
The problem with all this filler is that everyone looks the same. Where is the individuality?
when you referred to Simon Cowell’s face as “juicy” 😭😂😂
That Kardashian at 24 seconds in looks like a normal person before fame, but in reverse!
Seeing those pictures side by side 🫣 Dunno if I'm more shocked or sad! 🤯💔
10:23 She was contemplating her life choices...
That part 😂😂

I can't even imangine how hard it is going to be for teens to compare themselves to the new AI models. I hope that there will be some type of disclaimer noting AI usage at bottom of ads. I foresee a lot of Body Dysmorphia.
I was sooo happy to see you had a new video!!! 🖤
I'm gorgeous just the way I am... and so are you 🥰
I have larger natural lips and let me tell you, smaller lips aren't bad. You smaller lip girlies can wear bright, bold lipsticks. I feel like I look weird when I try and do anything with my lips. What I mean is, your own natural look probably looks fine
I completely agree 😍 your natural features will always suit you best!!
