Loved the series and the pics - thank you very much. Just one thought - the term ostraca (greek for potsherd) is used in the workmen's village for flat smallish fragments of white limestone excavated from the tombs which made lovety post it notepads - they are in the main NOT pottery. Cheers.

Good comment, Cerny uses it for both, anything they wrote upon. You can see examples in Cairo museum
At Medinet Habu, as well as being a temple it was a big administration centre by the time of the strike.
