Small correction: lucky Pokémon is the same amount of XL candy to power compared to a regular pokemon. It is half stardust, but no change to candy required
They should put rare xl candy in field research tasks like rare candies and we should have a berry that gives X2 xl candies like pinap berries .Maybe could be a bonus of silver pinap berries in future
As far as making a video on raiding goes, in my opinion probably the most helpful video you could put out for newer players (and surprisingly a lot of old-timers need it) would be one on type effectiveness. Probably would take a series of videos because there’s so much to cover. But yeah I think something like that would help a lot of people
Two things: 1) It's actually 0 - 3 XLs for normal catches. 2) Feeding berries in gyms is a great idea. While it only gives you a 0.5% chance (1/200) of getting a candy (didn't even know about XL candy), it's also a way to keep berries from cluttering your storage, gives you a small amount of stardust and XP, and grants progress towards the Berry Master medal which requires you to feed 15,000 berries. That sounds like a lot but it's taken me about two years and I've nearly got a platinum medal.
Off topic but maybe its important. You can get shadow partyhat Nidorino if you are lucky. You need a posion type grunt and if it gives you nidorino it will get the partyhat too. Good luck!😊

He’s not one of the largest accounts, Daxi is easily my favorite pogo UA-camr. Anything you wanna know he breaks down quickly and concisely without a bunch of fluff. Great channel
Feeding berries to gyms does give you stardust and there is a medal for it too. If you were going to delete the berries to save room then feed them to a gym first.
I don't really spend money on the game besides the Global GO Fest and Tour Tickets. So a Lvl 50 Mega Mawile will probably stay a dream of mine. Currently I'm only battling Arlo to get Shiny Mawile and I'll probably hold on to all Mawiles I get till the next rocket shake up. Hopefully we one day get the XL transferring bonus we got during Shinx CDay, so that I can maximise on Mawile XL Candy even if it isn't enough for Level 50.
Buddy XL chances are scaled based on the level of the Pokémon. I believe it starts at a 25% at level 30, up to 80% at like level 36 or something. Basically - power up your buddy as much as you can to get a higher chance at XLs from walking.
I have a good question/theory about the Mega bonus, specifically for Legendary's. So according to your video, you get 3 XL guaranteed plus 3 chances at 3 more for a total of 6 XL per catch. This is of course if the type of your Mega matches the type of the Legendary your catching, if it doesn't; you just get your 3. So what if the type of your Mega matches twice? For instance we currently have Reshiram in raids, a Dragon and Fire type. So our options for matching Dragon are Altaria and Charizard X and our options for matching Fire are Houndoom, Blaziken and again Charizard X. So Charizard X has both the same types as Reshiram, could it be the case that Charizard X gives you extra rolls on those 3 XL for this reason. I've noticed that it does but I could have just been lucky...
Stardust guide, leveling guide... That's really all I can think of I'd like. I'm wanting to hit 50 before they raise the cap again and I'm at 39. I generally try to save a bunch of stuff to evolve and then I use an egg to do a raid or two then evolve a bunch of stuff but it feels like it's so little.
They should definitely make xl candy easer to get in this game, the best way is to trade pokemon to guarantee the xl candy, but its only for pokemon that you can catch a lot of
I walk some legendaries, but it seems like getting xl candies has gotten more rare now. I did Zarude, earlier, it took a while but I got his xl candies a lot more than I do with my current
In my opinion using pinaps is also good, and this candies use to evolve a pokemon for 12, 25, 50 candies(the best cps), and after evolving, transfer in a spot hour 2*candy. For 400 candy pokemons just 100 candys to xl, and feeding pokemons in the gyms for candies and xls.
Hey Dax - love the videos! Just wanted to let you know that there seems to be some aliasing on the graphics and text in recent videos. I’m watching on iPhone 14 pro and iPad Pro if that’s helpful.

I also didn't realize hatching eggs gave a good amount of XL candies.. I wish I had saved my free incubators from special research quests until at least after I had hit level 31 😅

Can you get Mega energy from just walking with a Buddie Pokémon that is eligible for it? I have only mega evolved 2 Pokémon. One of them was part of the choice between 3 Pokémon.
Yes. Mega evolving any Pokémon guarantees you extra regular candy for any raid but only gives you an XL candy chance boost if the mega Pokémon's type matches the raid boss's type.
It took me more than a year to max out 1 Mewtwo to level 50 spending 10$ on the account Edit : It actually took 15$ which were used to buy the global fest ticket.
