I think Rogue Agent had pretty fun multiplayer. The maps based on prior Bond films in particular were a joy, many hours spent laughing and cursing with friends as we threw one another off the Golden Gate Bridge, or activated the spikes in Scaramanga's Funhouse when we tried to grab the Golden Gun.
the plot wasn't really all there. was just a bunch of random missions involving some war between Goldfinger and Dr. No. Wasn't too fleshed out, like I never understood why Oddjob suddenly turns on you later on in a random cutscene. But hey, that was the early 2000s in general lol
The strangest part of this game to me always was the fact they just straight out made a game about being a brutal, thuggish Bond Villain - and they built on an engine that is ENTIRELY bloodless.
Columbia made developers remove all blood in games after GoldenEye N64, that's why since then the most you see is a red cloud with maybe some exceptions in the Activision era. EA simply decided go have absolutely no blood.
@@Graslu00 Don't forget the DS that can play the same to with 10 Maps. Transit Tunnel, Bore Tunnel, Funhouse, Atlantis, Bathhouse, Moonraker, Golden Gate, Uplink, Carver's Press, and Mining Pit.

Since Goldeneye is somehow responsible for the death of Bond, I'm wondering if the game expected the player to shoot him while he was hanging from the helicopter wreck
Grasslu00 As a huge fan of the Bond Franchise and Video Games (especially old school Goldeneye) Im really happy you decided to give Rouge Agent a try. Despite the misleading title and game premise (that being your working for old school bond villain's in a 2004 present, all of which were killed several movies ago) its still an and enjoyable "what if" kind of story and the game play is addicting. Although to address your complaint about the clunky gameplay, I owned the PS2 version of the game and the controls/aiming were ALOT smoother on that system. With the PS2 control setup, It was way easier to switch between weapons/gadgets and the aiming was much easier. I look forward to your play though of this game and cant to see what future gaming/Bond/Goldeneye you have in store. Best of luck to you!
This is my Favorite level and it has no eye powers. All because it was short, straight to the point, took place at a classic Bond location, and it was simple. To me this is the only time where it feels like a James Bond game. The other levels feel like some rushed mindless shooter game.
Goldeneye: Dr. Julius No... He ruined my life, he took my eye... I'll show MI6 who's the most refined agent of all time is...! Dr. No's head will be on a platter!
Doesn't it feel weird to play a 007 game where you don't even play as 007? Also, it's nice that they re-implemented the duel wielding weapons like in GE64
I remember not liking this game as a kid. Dont remember exactly why, but I do know one of the things I HATED about this game was the crosshairs being at the upper quarter of the screen. Like who thought that was a good idea?
This is an old game and was one of the first games EA made that started their (second) spiral into infamy. It was only named Goldeneye to cash in on the popularity of GoldenEye 64, so there was no movie tied to this one. Brilliant concept, but GoldenEye himself just becomes a cyborg James Bond halfway through, as he doesn't fight good guys, only bad ones, and doesn't really do anything villainous other than take human shields while doing Bond-esque things and killing villains Bond had already taken out.
Oh yeah, a great game played by the most elite agent in the world. How are you doing Graslu? By the way, congrats on the golden gun challenge of Goldeneye 007. Yo amo España!!!!!
You can unlock all the powers at the first level with input cheats, also infinite power too I think. Noclip isn't possible but in Dolphin you have free look at least.
Exactly! How could the guy do anything when that situation happened? Wouldn't be surprised if they had already done the cutscene, said screw it, kept it, but had the gameplay look different. I dunno, it's dumb XD
I don't have much interest in this singleplayer- but I've heard some great things about the level design in multiplayer- will you be showing off all the multiplayer maps rather than just a handful after the campaign?
I know people talk bad shit about this game but I love it, I just think the guns are so cool. My only problem with the game is the fucking terrible crosshair placement, I can't believe they thought that was a good idea
The issue is the fact that there’s aiming acceleration which should not exist on console. The ideas with the multiplayer and single player feel sadly kind of wasted because all of the ideas here are really awesome in CONCEPT
No - but it's just ok. The original backslash was just mostly because of the name cash grab, the game itself has really cool ideas and mechanics, but its execution is quite poor. Controls are clunky and the crosshair is way too up.

In a simulation by the way. Not even a real mission.
The least he did to Bond in the simulation is just ignoring him when he needed help.
