@TheLatiosnlatias02 I think that was manipulation, in fact, Goldfinger too betray you in the end. Maybe this "war" between dr no and Goldfinger was just a set up, i'm not sure but i think Goldfinger sold us. And when oddjob attack you, this could be a sign that goldfinger betrays you.

@@RisingBeast00 Goldeneye would be more iconic if it had its own movie, bro the idea of having an anti-hero who uses gadgets like 007, which is gross, not stupid, looks cool is very good, unfortunately they made a 007 game where we don't have it battles against 007, that was the biggest mistake, maybe the game would be better if at some moments in history we could face 007 or play with him and face Goldeneye, it was a game with a lot of potential

I remember that in One Life Mode, just TOUCHING A TANK SLIGHTLY = GAME FRICKEN OVER. Anyways, too long level, sucks. (Found out 2 days ago that one can save in between level loadings on later playthroughs, by quitting and saving profile manually, I thought that quitting quits the thing completely and one had to start the mission over from the very beginning. Guess not then. And that's great, as the last mission is annoying and it makes me mad very easily with the weapon that instakills instantly.)
I think it's equal to Hard but if you die at any point, you go back to the very first mission. Unless you hit manage to hit pause and select Restart Level and you continue from the last loading point.
Though I heard that if one beats it, one unlocks something (I recall it was invincibility cheat or something), but I got nothing after struggling through it (PS2).
I've seen theories that it was because Oddjob had gotten jealous of Bond, but it might have also been an early attempt to eliminate someone who was getting too dangerous for Goldfinger to handle.
Did oddjob attack you because Goldfinger ordered him to? I mean he is pretending to be your ally and betrays you at the end is this the same reason why oddjob attacked you?
I must disagree. Digging up the game's files I found several cut subtitle lines suggesting that Oddjob was just jealous of GoldenEye becoming Goldfinger's top hitman. Most notably, Galore was supposed to tell you at one point in the level that Mr. Bowler Hat had cut his com link and that you probably should watch your back.
Wait! Xenia dies here? Instead of dying in the Goldeneye movie continuity!? Time Paradox! But wow, this level was really annoying and I can see why. It gave you a really hard time. Great job, surviving though.

One of the most longest and most annoying level in the game
Especially the tank part. Years ago, I struggled with that part so hard, even on Easy.

I've never played One Life Mode, does it actually increase the difficulty or simply makes it so if you die you start all the way over?
