Nowadays you feel absolutely no accomplishment in MH4U/MHGen, because of how easy Capcom decided to make them so they'd appeal to the noobish Westerners a lot more. (Well, surprise, that's why the series got super popular after MH4U. lol) But man... 4thGen can't even compare to the previous generations.. Not even CLOSE! Heck, 4thGen is NOT monster hunter! But what YOU described right there, man... THAT is Monster Hunter. :) A game about the satisfaction of going through an epic and hard journey, with or without friends, and gain the title of a Hero, a protector and savior of the Schrade region and the village you are trying to protect. A journey that you can not finish without skill or the determination to hone it. MH4U is not even close to this. You can beat the whole game with just 1 armor set and 1 weapon. (Talking about the story/village quests) In MHFU you had to learn how to read and dodge Monster attacks, to use ALL weapon types! (Didn't use that Kut Ku bow on Village Star 3 Urgent Quest with the Khezu? Then I bet you either quit or had a really bad time. xD) If you had good armor, you'd still take a lot of damage regardless, so you never were overpowered. Armor was just for giving you some necessary survivability, and no matter how good your weapon is you'd still need like 25 or 30 (and more) to finish a quest. Needless to say, in the REAL Monster Hunter games if you are unprepared for a hunt then you are DEAD! It's not as forgiving as MH4U is to you newbies. Back in the day, it was very common to die TWICE to a Yian Kut Ku each time you fought it to grind it's materials for armor. lol And because the game was so hard, in the end you'd ACTUALLY feel like a real hero and like you have actually accomplished a lot... And that warm feeling of accomplishment and joy after having come such a long and beautiful journey through determination and skill, and PASSION alone is something only Monster Hunter has. :)

Badass Toad I recently found my psp, I only managed to get tho the gaoren quests in both the guild hall and village, and I cried when I started it up for the first time in like 4 years ;).

Ah I still remember playing on the psp that my grandpa got for me at a flea market because I begged for it not knowing how little money he had. Started off with MHFU and was hooked immediately. Went into the guild hall once… hoping one day a hunter will join me. (I didn’t have internet at the time) Memories I will forever cherish.
Brings back many memories.. I played this in school constantly with friends and a cool ass teacher such amazing memories currently playing monster hunter world after many years of not playing due to the switch over on nintendo.. Wish we could all play together again but they have all gone there separate ways :( i cry every time i hear the guild song.

@Overlord Audiobooks I think everyone gathering in the Guild Hall of Freedom Unite has been reduced to beasts from Bloodborne rather than just a humble hunter. Since Discord Servers exist, we hunters can still keep in touch with each other. However, I couldn't say the same with the randoms due to how toxic and unreasonable they are. However there are some good people in there that I know as well. Whenever I hunt, I just adapt from the situations because everything can happen during a hunt.
I'll always remember this song as me and my brother fought tooth & nail fainting/learning our first monster title along the way and having a damn good time doing it. Sadly he stopped at Ukanlos before he put the game down for good. I finished ahead but it never did feel right finishing that last guild hall urgent alone. I'll always cherish our journey in Freedom Unite bro.

@XXXmitsarugiXXX Thank you. while your videos did not include the one I was looking for, they did help out, as one of them had a related video to something called 'Online Tavern' which involved using cheat codes on the PS2 version to access the tavern without online. And it had the song i was looking for playing when he entered the hall! Just search Online Tavern and it should be 3rd down. Video description is a bunch of cheat device codes
