I know that this is an older video, but currently Gold is at over $2000 per ounce. 1 1oz american eagle is about $2180. 4 1/4oz coins are about $2700. That is over $500 more for the same amount of gold, a huge markup, and a hard sell for some liquidity, IMO.
@@Sogard69 Who is talking about buying a kilo? 1 troy ounce which is what I am talking about is just over 33 grams. 1 kilo would be around 30 troy ounces. But go ahead and overpay for fraction coins. It's your money.
When I’m buying gold, I prefer fractional pieces for several reasons: - Cheaper for me to buy instead of spending $2k for one piece. - Easier to liquidate in the future and I won’t be selling 1 whole oz at a time. - The premiums aren’t an issue because you get them back when selling. - It keeps me within budget on converting fiat to precious metals. - What happens in the future when gold is $4-5k per oz? Acquiring it is more costly, selling it can be more difficult, etc.
Where in the heck do you get your premium back? from what i can see your lucky if you get full spot value of the metal. unless of course you have somthing a dealer-collector is interested in flipping
@@samkom33 gold price keeps going up and isn't going down in the near future so a 1 gram bar you buy now for maybe $80 in the next year you will be able to sell it for $80 or more.
@@jellyg.8961 Yes but my point is that if you say pay 20 dollar for an 1 ounce silver coin + 5 dollar premium, you cant sell it back to the coin dealer after 1 day, becouse he most likely pay just 20 dollar if your lucky. EVEN if you keep that coin 100 years you still wount get that 5 dollar premium back. unless you yourself become a dealer 😁 but another matter::: in 100 years a 1 ounce coin probably will be wourth more than today becouse of inflation thats why i invest in silver-gold. The answer to who will be buying at $25k? That is something my great-grandkids will be able to answer....That price will not be hit in our lifetimes. (And if I am wrong, and gold hits that in the next 20 years I may be around, - it likely will not be a society that will be friendly to live in....Everything as we know it would be a nightmare. - Everyone that did not have a bunch of gold laying around would not be able to afford to eat or pay rents/mortgages....We just think the ass-hats rioting in the streets is bad now, - wait and see how it would be if the prices hit that level in the short-term.) - It has gone from $200 an ounce to $2k an ounce in my adult lifetime, so it may double that again, and hit $4k in another 15-20 years though....
If Gold goes to $25,000/oz do you think the government will let us keep it? Or that they would not raise gains taxes on it? And if it goes that high that high I would suggest that people also have some lead :)
I have been buying (mostly) gold coins for many years... In my view, or rather from my perspective, I value my horde of 1/10 oz. gold Eagles as the smartest acquisition of all.... First, it just looks good to pull out a small plastic container with over 120 shiny gold "dimes" which can easily be hidden away from prying eyes... (you can actually "bury" them in a big jar of pennies, for example, which a metal detector might spot and still ignore.. or, perhaps in a coffee can, or whatever... ) Next, over the years, the premiums paid for the 1/10th, (and the quarter oz. as well) just doesn't seem to matter very much... For example, if you bought many many 1/10ths at $120.00 to $140.00.. well, why worry?? My local coin shops are almost always out or only have a few 1/10ths... they are almost always the least expensive way to acquire U.S. gold coins... they almost always have the highest "premiums", but those premiums tend to fluctuate vs. demand... Just keep that in mind if you are dealing to sell.... My guys will pay me a bit more if they are out of them and need some for special customers... Notice too, how many of the larger internet dealers are always, "out of stock" or "notify me"... and of course, the smaller fractions are by nature the most "liquid", which is important... Lastly, when gold is spotted at $5000.00 per oz. ,,,, which it will be one day..... none of this will matter much if you just keep on believing and stacking, right?
Right. If your dollar cost average is well below spot price, premium doesn’t matter. I’d have 120 dimes too if I could travel back in time. I’d love to have that pile! Cheers!
I like the 1 oz coins however i can only afford 1/10 or 1/4 oz at a time each payday. Knowing the premium is higher for these i have no choice but to suck it up
Gold is a frustrating obsession and these vids don't help!! 😄 Some Gold miners back in early gold rush years committed suicide because they couldn't get enough or they went bust! Gold is frustrating to me because I want it all, it's incredibly tempting to opt for gold over the other thing you need or bills you have to pay. The gentleman who makes these vids sold his silver, that's an easy way to get gold quicker, especially on the price dips. Obtaining pieces no matter what size over time is so rewarding. It's a very slow process getting even 5 ounces, that's 10 grand! Think of gold as a TV, even if you buy the smaller screen you'll be fine with it, do you really need a bigger screen?
Having some is better than having none, I'd say buy what we can afford, and as the price goes up honestly we won't be bothered too much I don't think by the premiums, over time inflation is going to catch up even more so having gold when you have the money is better than not having it
The inability to save money is going to cost you a lot of money. An oz in 1/10 gold eagles is 3112.90, thats $681.4 dollars over the spot price. That would pay for another 1/4oz of gold. Not as bad buying 1/4oz coins but still cost of premiums would set you back around the price of 1/10th. So why not save up to buy the 1oz
1/4 is the sweet spot for me. I like having the extra 'jingle' in my coin box to play with, rather than just having a few big clunkers. It's an affordable coin to comfortably buy each month. And I figure I could sell to a wider market. I've also started adding British sovereigns, 20 francs, $5 commems to avoid the heavy premiums. All these coins are around the same physical size, so my stack looks pretty consistent. I guess I'm geeked out that way.
Being a new sub, I would love a sticker....or 2, I use the term 2 is 1 often referring to being redundant in any prepping. BTW, I enjoy your dry witty sense of humor as well.
Another good video. I have been watching a lot of your videos these last few days. Thanks for all your help. I made a good educational jump in to the gold world today.
Outstanding video. Pure logic, and a similar path I took and continue to take. 1/4 oz are the sweet spot! My 1 oz coins are the Alamo of my stack. I want 7 1 oz for every 3 oz in Frac. 👍🏼 for the reasons you stated.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Florida. I appreciate it! I have a few minutes left in your newest video. Great stuff - I bet that takes a lot of prep to produce something at that depth, so thank you!
If the dollar ever fails, having a balanced stack of silver and gold, and in fractionals - may be important. A 1 oz gold coin might buy you a larger item, but for food, water, and your every day necessities - these smaller coins and bars will be handy. Plus, if you get mugged with a few 1 oz gold eagles in your pocket - that could ruin you. If things get so bad that we are trading silver, gold and even things like ammo - you'll not want to carry all of your eggs in one basket. One of the main reasons we stack is to diversify our finances, so it stands to reason we should have a diverse cache of precious metals. That's what I'm trying to do on a very limited budget. That's why I think your advice here is very solid. I listen to a few different people on YT and there's some sage advice being given. It's easy enough to separate the smart from the delusion, and most of the channels offer good, solid advice - and I thank you.
Remember with the gold that you can just chop it in half or into quarters if you needed a barter. Gold is gold at the end of the day and also it's very soft
I will agree and further adding a thought...I theorize the value of a Walking Lady or Canadian Maple Leaf (sought after designs) will be of no consequence in bartering situations. (?) Therefore I've made my first ever gold 1/10 coins for just the gold and not popularity. Bars included. Thoughts on Goldbacks? Thank you :)
I totally get the Choose Your Own Adventure reference! LOL. That's awesome. Fractionals are a must for me. The smaller the fractions the more of them I want. I use them for several of the reasons you mentioned in this video, and to create a buffer for my larger gold pieces in case the need to liquidate does arise. Will also hopefully have a lot to pass on to my kids, and maybe afford a few vacations in retirement. Thanks for the interesting video!
great video. given my budget and an impatience i've been buying more fractionals. 1ozers are the better choice by far but it'll take me 3 months to save for them and i just can't wait lol
Charon there are some people who have told me that stacking fractionally is a loser deal since the premiums are higher. I just feel like those are the type of people who can buy a monster box of silver eagles each month. I'm not that dude.
I'm putting up 200 oz of silver before doing anything else. This is a good view on gold and once the 200 oz of silver is put up ill be putting up gold instead primarily and when there is money left over I'll be getting silver.
Im from Croatia and with 1/4oz i can live one month if i need to sell. So, my plan: each month to buy 1 or 2 1/4oz gold. With 1/4 i have better control and i spend exactly how much i need for a month.
I’m glad I learned about this. I used to think fractional gold was nonsense, until it was explained to me the benefits of both fractional and full Oz. I started buying fractional a little bit ago, and nice way to sneak those stickers into your video haha. So sly!
I would love one of you 2 is 1 stickers!🎉❤. I keep watching more of your old videos. You have gotten so much better over the years. Still love the originals…

20 years ago Dad made me go downtown to sell grandpa's tube of 1/10 krugs. The only shop that would buy them, acted like i was inconveniencing him and point blank said he could care less if he bought them or not. No one knows what type or size of coin will be popular twenty years from now!
Rational- if fractional coins are nice to have due to liquidity, might as well grab smaller increments for additional liquidity. On the 1/4 coins, I didn’t like that the face value was $10.
I love gold as well. I personally think you need 20 of each. I kinda like the fractional stackers method a tube of each lol. Got my 1/10 tube done and only need three more of the 1/4 oz to finish that tube. But I agree with Silver Britches as well i like the 1/2 oz the more of them I get the more i love the size. Yet it seems to be the size least loved by most people. I wonder why that is? Anyway another great Vid. Keep up the great work
Thanks for the note! I know if I had 1/2 oz coins, they’d quickly grow on me. I almost need two of any size so it’s not an oddity. I almost picked one up this week, but it just seemed like a strange size!
0:00 🤔 Fractional gold coins offer flexibility and liquidity compared to one ounce coins. 3:00 💰 Buying smaller denominations allows for more flexibility in emergency situations and provides access to a larger pool of buyers. 5:42 🛡 Fractional coins are easier to buy, sell, and carry, making them more tactically advantageous than one ounce coins. 7:56 📉 One ounce coins have a lower premium cost percentage and may be less emotionally tempting to sell for short-term expenses. 9:45 📊 It's wise to have a balanced portfolio of both fractional and one ounce coins, with the allocation based on individual circumstances and goals.
🔴 Another advantage which you briefly touched upon: the added flexibility in being able to more readily split up your reserves between different locations. "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket". A portion of your reserves in a private vault in Singapore, another in Liechtenstein, one in the US, then some on-hand. Easier to do with fractionals than all one-ounce coins.
Believe me if gold and silver really start to make a major move up you will start to see ads saying WE BUY GOLD AND SILVER. Fractional will probably easier to sell.
Great video with common sense. I’m a little late to the party. I just started in this for hopefully long term investment. I purchased a 1/4 oz eagle and kind of thought maybe I should have waited to buy a1/2 oz. This video kind of eased my buyers remorse. Eventually I can get some 1 oz coins but it’s a journey not a race. Thanks again. Probably to late for the sticker huh?

I really like your thoughts on the keeping of gold at where you are at certain times. Currently working on my gold stack and continuing my silver. Would love a sticker!
I have commented to your channel before, so thought this is appropriate for me! I would like two channel stickers. Why two? I am an over the road food grade truck driver and would like to put one on my 2019 Peterbilt, and one for my personal Ford pickup when I am at home in South Florida. How would a loyal fan accomplish acquiring two elusive channel stickers?! Thank you, and once again, kudeos on the great channel!
The thing about gold and silver is that it holds its value reallly well. So if the price for gold goes to $25k that’s not the value of gold going up that’s the value of the dollar going down. Gold will still be able to buy with the same buying power it’s just the dollar amount it represents is a lot more.

I agree with the smaller sizes for liquidity reasons, but I think once you have a healthy supply of fractional pieces, it just makes more sense to buy the whole ounce coins. I'm currently working on filling a 1/10 oz tube. Once that's filled, I'll be filling up a 1/4 oz tube before buying an ounce coin. Great video as usual.
When I first got into gold and silver I was buying 1oz coins at $1200 from coin shop once to two times a year. I switched to 5gram bars at end I’d 2020. I’m now buying 1/4 oz and 5gram bars each month giving me a little over 2 oz a year.
Goldco guarantees to buy back gold at the highest retail market value. They also add a pretty big premium on the fractional coins. Coin shops won't pay that much - not even close. I bought from Goldco because it is the top ranked precious metals dealer in the country. I shopped a coin dealer to sell a 1/4 ounce coin. I was offered 1/4 the price of 1 ounce of gold bullion, about $450 at the time. Goldco offered $778 after shipping and insurance for the Australian fiat coin. Substantial difference. That takes the worry out of being able to recoup your fractional gold coin with its premium intact.
What do you do with gold if shops are buying $40-$90 under spot and no one else is buying or taking gold for currency exchange? The people or stores don’t use gold standards so the price of things will go up so the companys can train works and buy gold storage and machines to tell if gold is real that they are buying. Then gold goes down also because it can’t be traded for an extended period. Plus if things hit the fan who is going to monitor the workers from stealing the bullion?
For every 10 1/4 oz. coins you could have bought another 1oz of gold. If you have to sell your gold for emergencies before the collapse you should focus on other priorities first.
Im in Massachusetts where sales tax is high unless you buy $1,000+ in gold/silver which eliminates the sales tax. So for me 1/2 oz is the smallest amount that makes sense. Still, I prefer to buy 1oz coins. If i need to liquidate in a fractional way there's plenty of silver for that.
I used to have a lot of fractional gold but unfortunately I sold some of it. These days I stick to the full oz. coins....Was in a different place when I was stacking years ago.
Yankee Stacking also dropped one this morning about this. I stopped buying 1/10 and started buying 2.5 gold pesos. Still not the best way to stack, but the premiums were better. I am an experienced seller if you purchase anything that you personally like for hobby reasons or collectible reasons don’t expect to sell something as fast as you would any size eagle. Boxes and COAs are nothing but a pain in the butt when it comes to selling it is easier to throw 50 1/10th Eagles eagles in a tube and sell it to almost any dealer or stacker for that matter. But try to do the same with a 1 ounce platinum 50th anniversary Krugerrand. Putting aside the world coming to an end. You can box almost any metal within reason. Pack it up and mail it to Apmex they will wire you funds. Sometimes I think that’s where the premium comes from our in our American metals. it is just less work And less thinking to mail out 20 1 ounce gold coins than it would be 20 platinum 1 ounce proof Statue of Liberty‘s. And forget about getting any kind of premium back selling anything that you purchase for hobby. My experience with items I buy because of the love for the sport (Putting aside spot price movement) It’s a losing transaction.
I live outside the country in Latin America. I have to buy what is available. Right now what is available is new krugerands and maples in 1 oz size. I love fractionals and will buy them when they are available. In the US, you can be much more picky about what you buy. In my situation, I stack cash as well as metals. Cash helps protect you against the situation where you might have to sell metals to get cash. Depending on where you live, gold is not as liquid. No matter whether it is fractional or otherwize. That being said, I wish I had more fractional gold.
Krugerrands and Maples are both fantastic options - I'm planning to grab more of each. I'm definitely aware of how lucky I am to be able to choose, and how great it is to have such quick and easy access to local dealers (to sell). I can appreciate your situation and think everyone can appreciate your perspective. I'm trying to get a little more serious about bitcoin for the sake of liquidity. Feels weird to say that. Crazy times! Thanks for the comment!
I spent 2020 stacking silver. Plan on stacking gold in 2021. I understand your philosophy on doing 1/4 oz as it allows one to purchase something vs watching from the sidelines. I would like to start with 1/2 oz, but I would only be able to do this every other month. Don't like going a whole month without any purchases, so it will more than likely be the 1/4 oz. Might convert some silver to gold if silver keeps creeping up.
Ok, started on gold today. Was planning on 1/2 oz, however due to liquidity, availability, and my budget I purchased 2 Britannia 1/4 oz gold. Also 3 months without a single purchase was my limit. I'll get 1 ounce eventually , for now I'm thinking full tube of 1/4 mix.
What about also a few 1/10 ounce coins in the mix as well ? I know the premiums are higher but they are easier to sell than 1/4 ounce coin. I personally also feel like in theory that a few 1/10 ounce coins might help to diversify your holdings a little better, so lets say hypothetically roughly 1/6 th of your gold stash could be in the form of a 1/10 ounce gold coin.
Everyone will have a different take there. I like 1/4 oz for liquidity. I do t have any reason or to like 1/10 oz, though. They’re just very expensive right now in terms of premium. Cheers!
1/4oz coins 1) easier if you only want liquidate a part stack 2) if you like different designs on your coins you have more coins . 3) easier to regularly buy a 1/4oz than an ounce due to price . 4) buying smaller coins more often evens out the peaks and troughs of gold market dollar averaging . 5) 1/4oz coins are part of my exit strategy for retirement.
if the worse case scenario occurs, needing to actually use gold to buy things, what will you get for change? using a 1 oz gold coin to buy something that is less than the value of the 1 oz ?......I think the smaller factional would be more usable, silver coins 1oz would be good also.........remember worse case scenario, fiat currency goes into to hyperinflation, gold coins/ silver coins might be needed to buy food, etc......
@@2is1gold it's the worst case scenario, "plan for the worst, hope for the best" it is something to consider in that case. like you I have a little bit of everything, Perth mint coins are very nice also.....not sure the gold content, but are valued a touch higher than the eagles at times
Great information and I'm still on the fence about the cost and I will start on a tube of 1/4 oz gold eagles...I'm working on the 20oz mint tube of 1oz coin's as I told you before..this helps alot
I own both sizes.. It’s a smart idea. Kinda of a wild card holding some fractional. The quarter and one tenth’s gold is ALSO "cuter". Lol. I agree with the idea of fractional fitting in to the odd places, (in this game) that the large chunks don’t really fit in.
Gold is wealth preservation or to use for large purchases. Liquidity isn’t as important if your buying say.. a truck.. or firearms.. or something like that. Use silver for everything else.

Cheers!
Very well said! I love 1/10 eagles, they are hefty! I wish they made fractional buffalos
I like the 1 oz coins however i can only afford 1/10 or 1/4 oz at a time each payday. Knowing the premium is higher for these i have no choice but to suck it up
Why not just wait to buy 1oz? That is what I do.
Gold is a frustrating obsession and these vids don't help!! 😄
Some Gold miners back in early gold rush years committed suicide because they couldn't get enough or they went bust!
I like that size too. On camera, it's easier to show 1 oz coins, but I've always liked the 1/4 oz for a lot of reasons. Cheers!
Premiums are making the smaller coins less attractive to me
For sure. I pay $40 premium for a 1/4 oz at the LCS, but it’s $65 - $120 online. I’m being careful where I buy them. Cheers!
18% premiums on sovereigns in the uk seems a bit steep .
I like your delivery guy.Straight to the point without the fear mongering.

Another great video. Some of the most down to earth discussions on UA-cam. Keep them coming
Thank you, sir!
Being a new sub, I would love a sticker....or 2, I use the term 2 is 1 often referring to being redundant in any prepping. BTW, I enjoy your dry witty sense of humor as well.
👍🏼 email me your address at 2is1gold at gmail dot com
I would love to have 2 of your channel stickers. One for my travel cooler I use when RV camping and one for my gun mat. Happy stacking!!!
Another good video.
I have been watching a lot of your videos these last few days. Thanks for all your help. I made a good educational jump in to the gold world today.
Thanks for watching!
1/4 is the sweet spot for me
Yeah, me too. More than ever lately. Cheers!
When using gold as true money, it is best to have it in spendible amounts for things you would normally buy. Look into the 50 gram Combibar.
Me too
Same. Id rather have 1/10 but that premium
Just bought my first gold. It was 2- 1/2 gram assays.
😂 I remember the choose your own adventure books! Great channel man 👍 just starting my stack, and your videos are most informative.
Thank you.
Thanks, and good luck!
Good points. Thanks for watching.
Remember with the gold that you can just chop it in half or into quarters if you needed a barter. Gold is gold at the end of the day and also it's very soft
Goldbacks solve for the small transaction problem
I will agree and further adding a thought...I theorize the value of a Walking Lady or Canadian Maple Leaf (sought after designs) will be of no consequence in bartering situations. (?) Therefore I've made my first ever gold 1/10 coins for just the gold and not popularity. Bars included. Thoughts on Goldbacks? Thank you :)
Best comment ever! You are a wise person!
Thanks for the advice, will definitely begin stacking gold with your formula.
Ha, I’m glad someone got it! I’m hoping to give my kids a pile of coins someday too! Thanks, Expat!
great video. given my budget and an impatience i've been buying more fractionals. 1ozers are the better choice by far but it'll take me 3 months to save for them and i just can't wait lol
I can’t wait either, and besides, spot price is outpacing its value at the moment (IMO), so I’m cooling my jets a bit. Thanks for watching!
Good plan!
wow, it's the super low living cost for the UE standards. I think I would live for 1/2oz per month in Poland, but I'd to minimalize my needings.
Try living on 1/4 gold in San Francisco!
@@wolfyklip that's why I move to low cost country.
I’m glad I learned about this. I used to think fractional gold was nonsense, until it was explained to me the benefits of both fractional and full Oz. I started buying fractional a little bit ago, and nice way to sneak those stickers into your video haha. So sly!
Yeah, fractional coins don’t get enough love. Nor do stickers! 😁
2 is 1 🤣 agreed
But the price gets so much higher.. : (
Nina Goree much lower than the premium on silver at least. It’s all relative!
I love your channel. Find the level tone of your advice excellent. And would love a sticker or 2.
Outstanding video! Thank you for the education and insight.
would love a sticker or decal.
Thanks Henry! I ran out of the stickers!
Watching again after two years of stacking. I like stacking both as well, as it leaves options open.
I would love one of you 2 is 1 stickers!🎉❤. I keep watching more of your old videos. You have gotten so much better over the years. Still love the originals…
Love the videos I went out today and got a half eagle all the tips about buying gold were really helpful
That's great. Congrats on the pick up!
Excellent video! It is always great to have options that over 99% of people don't have.
Thanks!
I have a fractional in a ring and a half oz in a watch, silver bracelet and necklace, with silver or platinum coin pendants.
Fractionals are a great way to make manufacturers and vendors happy.
I wouldn't go below quarter Oz as the premiums are to high ,
This channel is great, I make a habit to watch it when I have metal fever and want to buy, it helps me sort out my decisions
That's an awesome little blade I have one
Good to see that! ✊
Love the 1/4 oz coins! But getting really hard to find anywhere! Current times we live in I guess. Lots of demand!
They’re so hit and miss right now. I went weeks not seeing them at all, and then all of a sudden, my LCS had plenty.
In the UK, we have the 1 oz Britannia and the roughly quarter oz sovereign. The sovereign is far more cost effective to buy than quarter Oz Britannia.
Yeah, I’d be a lot more open to the Sovereign in the UK. Great, low premium and everyone knows the coin!
The sovereign isn’t 999 fine though.
@@jamesmcdougall7748 But it is readily available and recognised in the UK. I do see what you're saying however and I have also bought 1/4 oz Britannias as well.
If the price is the same, the 1/4 ounce rounds; but since the price isn't the same, one ounce rounds. I have silver for smaller needs. I don't plan to ever sell unless SHTF.
A dealer told me he'd rather buy 1/10 oz., because he can sell them fast!
So a dealer who can make 10x the premium per ounce on fractional advised you to buy fractional.
@@masterstacker2833 so obvious. I never buy under an ounce because of the premiums.
20 years ago Dad made me go downtown to sell grandpa's tube of 1/10 krugs. The only shop that would buy them, acted like i was inconveniencing him and point blank said he could care less if he bought them or not.
No one knows what type or size of coin will be popular twenty years from now!
I can watch your videos all day, good stuff!!
Just bought by first coins. Went with one 1 ounce & five 1/10 to get started.
Rational- if fractional coins are nice to have due to liquidity, might as well grab smaller increments for additional liquidity.
On the 1/4 coins, I didn’t like that the face value was $10.
1oz is my preferred. But those 1/4oz are nice to stack, even with a slightly higher premium. And they are easier to sell when the time comes.
Agree 💯. Thanks for watching!
I'm sticking with quarter and half oz gold coins thing is they seem to be in short supply in the uk .
Rather short supply in my area also.
hey! need a couple of those cool stickers! love your channel!
Send your address to 2is1gold at gmail dot com! ✊
It also makes stacking fun doing it that way.
I'm in Texas. Having a good sized knife on your side or in your pocket in normal.
Got them all love them in all sizes ! Fractional premium is bigger the larger the less premium you pay ! 1 oz is the spot !
🤜🤛
🔴 Another advantage which you briefly touched upon: the added flexibility in being able to more readily split up your reserves between different locations. "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket".
A portion of your reserves in a private vault in Singapore, another in Liechtenstein, one in the US, then some on-hand. Easier to do with fractionals than all one-ounce coins.
If you look at old (historical) goldcoins, they were all like 1/4 oz ...
i use to buy 5, 10 or 20 1/10s at a time back when the premium was 10-15, however now a days I think the full 1oz is a no brainer
I have bought all the sizes starting at a half of a gram up to a full troy oz. 1/10th is the most liquid of all of them in my experience.
I don’t think they allow people who lose gold coins to buy 1/10 oz, so I’m out, but I know they’re popular! Which is your favorite?
I'd love to do a sticker trade... if you want. Thanks
Cash and Coins a trade requires me getting my act together on a PO Box, but I’ll definitely get you one in the meantime! Thanks!
Believe me if gold and silver really start to make a major move up you will start to see ads saying WE BUY GOLD AND SILVER. Fractional will probably easier to sell.
If the major moves are sustained, everyone will want in. I’m expecting a big spike that drops back down but an overall, slower move up. Cheers!
That’s a great point
Great video with common sense. I’m a little late to the party. I just started in this for hopefully long term investment. I purchased a 1/4 oz eagle and kind of thought maybe I should have waited to buy a1/2 oz. This video kind of eased my buyers remorse. Eventually I can get some 1 oz coins but it’s a journey not a race. Thanks again. Probably to late for the sticker huh?
Stickers are gone at the moment, but if you email an address to 2is1gold at gmail dot com, I’ll try to get some out of/when I restock. Thanks for the comment!
serious playback issues with this video. ad spots causing the video to stop loading after end of ad
I really like your thoughts on the keeping of gold at where you are at certain times. Currently working on my gold stack and continuing my silver. Would love a sticker!
Very helpful and informative ..... and you have got one super cool voice !
No problem, but I need to set up a channel email to get your address. Give me a day! And, thanks for the support!
The thing about gold and silver is that it holds its value reallly well. So if the price for gold goes to $25k that’s not the value of gold going up that’s the value of the dollar going down. Gold will still be able to buy with the same buying power it’s just the dollar amount it represents is a lot more.
OMG! I loved those books... i think i was in 4th grade when i first read one and was blown away... gonna search ebay and find some for my kids! Im in the process of watching your older videos while waiting for new installments and if you have any left and available for an average joe id love one of them stickers!! Id put that sticker on my welding hood for sure and climb around the iron here in Vegas. My first gold was 1/10th and its just ridiculous, ive come to appreciate my 1/4 the most and think ill grab a 1/2 next just to be sure, still lusting for a britania

In all seriousness...
Ha! Thanks!
i've been enjoying your clips, and have a love for knives as well. thanks !
When I first got into gold and silver I was buying 1oz coins at $1200 from coin shop once to two times a year. I switched to 5gram bars at end I’d 2020. I’m now buying 1/4 oz and 5gram bars each month giving me a little over 2 oz a year.
Nice video, I've stared with fractional. Gave me reassurance Thanks man
Great way to come in. Cheers!
I've been thinking the same since it went above $2K. Pulled the trigger today on the 1/4. Great insight for the beginner!

Silver Britches sent new over. Like your approach and content
Britches is a gentleman and a scholar! Welcome!
I purchased 2 - 1/2 oz, 4 - 1/4 oz. and 10 - 1/10 oz from my local coin dealer, at significantly lower premium that SD Bullion, or JM Bullion
Just brought 1/10 oz Brititiana coins. Hope to get a few 1/4 oz as well.
Diversification is key in ALL things. I believe 1oz and 1/4 oz is a good combination to stack.
For every 10 1/4 oz. coins you could have bought another 1oz of gold. If you have to sell your gold for emergencies before the collapse you should focus on other priorities first.
Exaclty. I cant only convince myself to buy 1 oz. Anything less doesn't make cents to me.
Yeah, that's a good point.
When I lived in Boston, I was afraid to use a fingernail clipper in public. I'm in Arizona now and my post office has an NRA sticker on the front door! LOL. First time I saw it I couldn't believe it. P.S. - nobody is pulling statues down here or setting a business on fire.
Ha! Im familiar with your new state. Guns / knives don’t throw me, but it’s always somewhat alarming having a biker pull up next to you at a stoplight there and see the 9 strapped to their leg a few feet from your face. 😄

I’m with you on ease of sale. It makes so much sense to at least have a base of Eagles or similarly popular coins. Cheers!
Good practical advice, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Very similar to where I'm at. I like a monthly purchase to keep my mind in it. Cheers!
Another great video . Thank you for your valuable input.
Thanks!
Yeah, good thoughts on this. Thanks for the comment!
I enjoy wayching your videos and the insight that you give. Thank you. How can i get one of those stickers.
if the worse case scenario occurs, needing to actually use gold to buy things, what will you get for change? using a 1 oz gold coin to buy something that is less than the value of the 1 oz ?......I think the smaller factional would be more usable, silver coins 1oz would be good also.........remember worse case scenario, fiat currency goes into to hyperinflation, gold coins/ silver coins might be needed to buy food, etc......
I have silver too. But I'm not planning for a situation where PMs are used to buy bread.
@@2is1gold it's the worst case scenario, "plan for the worst, hope for the best" it is something to consider in that case. like you I have a little bit of everything, Perth mint coins are very nice also.....not sure the gold content, but are valued a touch higher than the eagles at times
by way great work in help educate people about coins, etc. I friend educated me around 2006.......have learned much....as you have
I am at 3 quarters at this time this video reinforced my thinking thanks. Nice looking stickers
That’s great. Good luck!
Great information and I'm still on the fence about the cost and I will start on a tube of 1/4 oz gold eagles...I'm working on the 20oz mint tube of 1oz coin's as I told you before..this helps alot
I didn't get the choose your own adventure can someone please explain?
I own both sizes.. It’s a smart idea. Kinda of a wild card holding some fractional.
The quarter and one tenth’s gold is ALSO "cuter". Lol.
I agree with the idea of fractional fitting in to the odd places, (in this game) that the large chunks don’t really fit in.
In times of emergency, fractional gold coin is more liquid.
That's what silver is for
Like, a 10oz silver bar is just about the same value as a 1/10th gold coin, and still very portable
Gold is wealth preservation or to use for large purchases. Liquidity isn’t as important if your buying say.. a truck.. or firearms.. or something like that.
Use silver for everything else.
What about 1/2 oz gold coins? Currently hesitating between the two (1/4 or 1/2)...
I'll be buying 1/2oz rather than 1/4oz until premiums begin to come back down. (New plan since this video came out.)
well if you are in s state that taxes up to a 1000 like NY so now 1/2 gold eagle is the new favorite choice if I buy a 1/4 I'm paying 10 percent more each time NO WAY
That makes perfect sense. I’d do the same thing - 1/2oz all the way (every other month).
For gold, I prefer one oz. coins for wealth preservation and one oz. silver coins or bullion for bartering.
Makes perfect sense. Thanks!
