You're not allowed to bro. Firstly you need a license to catch and use them. Catching them is not too difficult, it just depends on the sand in the area and where they are feeding on the shore dump
Recently subbed to this channel and I cant get enough of the content. I would like to get some gear together and start fishing for garrick during vacation periods. What rod and reel combo would you recommend for garrick fishing ?
Thank you bro, glad you're enjoying the videos. I prefer to fish with medium tackle so my go to rod is the Shimano Technium medium with the 6-8oz tip and any middle size multiplier like the Saltist 40 or the Torium 20. They are clean fighters so you rarely need to put a lot of pressure while fighting them.
Shot bru, I know what you're talking about. I did it in a previous video last season. I'll definitely try it again towards the end of the season once the sards move off. It will be awesome to get one with the grinder on medium tackle👌
Bring and come, run and come...Dude, I miss you Durban ou's! Nice video man! New sub!
Haha glad you enjoyed it bru, thanks for subscribing!
Awesome catch Well done bro 💪💪👍👌
Winter is coming bro, hoping to get a few more this season💪
Hey man, that is a super garrick, how I miss my garrick curries now. Weldone, lovely fish, greetings Thailand.
Thanks Llewellyn, a lot of people say that garrick is not a tasty fish. But if you bleed it its great in a curry or breyani👌
@@FishingSouthAfrica Thats the way to go, love my Garrick curry.
I got a decent garrick on Monday. I'm looking forward to that curry with possibly some fried sards on the side😄

Looks decent to cast a live bait aswell formation looked good
That's true bru, I haven't thrown out many live baits. I'm abit scared of it dying on impact or tearing out... especially when live bait is scarce
If you bridal the live bait with a circle no issues with casting we do it quite often drop me a pvt msg il send u some pics shot bro

Hi tight lines maybe next time God bless
I didn't mind too much, the season has just started and 1 of my friends caught one so atleast I got some video content😅
Where about is this
I do say in the video, did you not hear?
Where do you guys get the live bait "mozzies" ...do you buy them ?
We catch them on the beachfront bro, off the piers and occasionally from Ushaka
The water looked tops. Where is this ?
Yeah it was a good day to be fishing. I did say in the vid, it's towards the ending though
Where did u guys find those rectangle buckets thanks
If I'm not mistaken it's the skip laundry detergent bucket
You should try goldfish as bait,i promise you that you wont be dissapointed.
Well you learn something new every day, what have you caught while using goldfish as bait?
@@FishingSouthAfrica most fish that eat live bait.
How long do they survive in the saltwater though?
@@FishingSouthAfrica about 10 minutes.
Can I target garrick with live wave garrick, that's the only bait I get can my hands on.
Howzit Khuvi, unfortunately that's 1 of the only fish that garrick don't feed on as far as I know. They are really good live bait for kingies though!
HI miss SA fishing what line are you using what you set up
Howzit buddy. We mainly use double x high abrasion. Between 0.45 and 0.52 diameter, depending on where we're fishing
Hwsit wers the best place to get mozzies fr live
bait?
The best and easiest way is on a boat. From the shore we get them on snake park pier and ushaka
Thanks for letting me know the fish is chowing in my gully 😅😂
😂😂😂 No problem bru, hope you manage to get a few🦈
