Thank you so much, I am a fourth-generation Californian, and at seventy-two I haven't gotten to make those trips in a while. But I have made them all and you have given me the chance to relive them. You two did an awesome job. You even had me in tears, remember some trips with my parents when I was a girl.
With all the craziness in the world...sitting on the balcony in the sun..😎.. watching your AMAZING journeys...is a chance to escape.... THANK YOU..🙏🌻🇨🇦🌞
Thanks so much for sharing your lives with us. I really look forward to your lovely footage and appreciate all of your hard work getting it to us. Love from Orlando Florida 🤗❤️🤗
New to your channel. Love this episode since I am a native Angeleno. I was in middle school ( centuries ago), whe I went with my parents through Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, & Reno in a Dodge Surfside campervan. We didn't do half the cool things you guys did, but watching you brought back wonderful memories. One thing that was rather depressing was seeing the low water levels & wildfires going on now. But California is a spectacular state that offers so much variety.
I absolutely 💯 ♥️ your version of the "waterfall" (bottled water) !!You're such a lovely couple with a great sense of humor about life. You have made days that started out for me less than desirable, into 😊 happy smiling, hopeful days!!!!🥰BLESS BOTH OF YOU💗💗💯💪👊🙏🙏
one of the coolest pups in any video I've seen. Haven't been back to Yosemite Valley since 1974 when I met a young lady and we became ski bums and travelers. We've been married since '77 and Yosemite is on our retired bucket list to revisit. Thanks for the glimpse down memory lane.
Back in the days when I was going up to lake Tahoe it was not a resort area, and those there were no paved roads to lake Tahoe, I'm giving away my age but it was so beautiful back then !!
Have to say I Really enjoy watching you BOTH! Not hiding the bad things on all your trips! For I have flown to Asian countries, fortunately I had a closest friend my brother that served our country in military in many countries and I got to go meet and travel with him and his beautiful wife! The biggest thing in foreign countries is AMERICANS DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW EASY WE HAVE IT, especially when or if they have traveled to any different country getting out of touristy places and into the Providence of this countries to see how they really live! My first time as a man I broke down and cried seeing some of the real life people around the world endure! Then at how nice, kind, loving they really are!
I feel cold and shivering just watching this Video.Reminds me so much of Winnipeg and the Frigid temps and people walking like zombies in the cold downtown -feeling the cold and just surviving in the Tundra of the west
Enjoyed watching! Very helpful as we are planning our own California NP road trip. I know that this was during Covid so times will probably not be the same, but could you provide an itinerary with that includes the time that it took you to get from place to place? Including how long it took you to drive through different points of the parks? We are trying to cram in as much as we can into our vacation and your experience would be super helpful!
i was there in 1996 september the same viewpoint zero vizebility but the next day totaly clear lots of bear and hafdome in front i climd it too and tooh a chower in the waterfalls amazing trip then
it seems like Pepper knows the "water" routine. she doesnt seem to get anxious. she looks at peace when she's on momma and daddy's back. :) good going Pepper!
Hey guys hope you're well and having a great day. So sorry we haven't been able to visit you for a while we were in Bulgaria then Malta were we got stuck due to Covid and flights we're cancelled. But great to catch up with you again. Wow so many travel vloggers are taking up the RV life. Great idea, wishing you all the best. Thanks so much taking us along with you on this adventure. Stay safe and catch up again real soon God bless you both.
Thanks for the fun video! I am a California native and had a great time traveling with you. You chose some great sights to see! Fernwood Campsite in Big Sur is a wonderful place to stay and has great amenities. Even if it is a little on the pricey side, it's beautiful and serene. I love it there... Next time you need to visit the far northern part of the state. Get all the way up to Eureka and Humboldt County. It's a different kind of California than you'll find in the Southern part of the state. Really enjoyed your video!
In Yosemite, I stay up off Tioga (pronounce TIE-oga) in White Wolf Lodge or Tuolumne (two-aul-o-me) Lodge. The hikes (like the one to Glen Aulen or Vogelsang) are spectacular. In June and May when the water is running high, I stay in the valley because the falls are beautiful and often Tioga pass is still closed because of snow. In May and June, white water rafting outside of the park on the Merced (III-IV+) or Tuolumne (IV-V) is rad. Rafting below a IV is boring! LOL There is so much to do in Yosemite. The best internet and cell reception in the park is up by Glacier or Sentinel Point because the cell tower is up there. ATT and T-Mobile do better than other carriers in Yosemite. I often get it across from the pizza parlor in Curry Camp inside the community lodge where they have internet for the tourists. However, it's slow in there because so many people are trying to use it. Yosemite is closer to me than my favorite park, Glacier, but I love going there and try to get up there at least once a year from San Diego. When Yosemite is clear and around the middle of June, nothing beats it. There's much more to do in Yosemite than in Tahoe unless you like Casinos. Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur is spectacular but you need to ask a local how to get down to it. When you go down into fern valley on your way to the beach you pass through Beach Boy, Al Jardine's ranch.
After 65 years in California and ready to change residency it's nice to see such enthusiasm. The fact is California is one of the most expensive and r.v.er unfriendly state in the Country. Bring your wallet and patience. Good luck.
Totally get it. CA is also home to some of the most amazing places to visit though! Three weeks in a campervan and we only got to see a tiny portion of CA that we wanted to.
come to Maine! I'd be happy to take you both on a lobster fishing adventure, maybe a bluefin tuna adventure, and a tour of the coast! Maine is often overlooked and under appreciated, i cant say i'm totally disappointed in that ;-). its peaceful and quiet, the summers are a treat and the drive up the coast while exploring the peninsulas would be a treat for both of you. the midcoast Rockland/Camden area or the Portland area are foodie central. lots of great dining, some are farm to table, a small handful have their own farms, and lots are just great locally sourced seafood. You wouldn't be disappointed, trust us! My lady and I enjoy your travels, lots we can relate to and somewhat nostalgic, it's a pleasure since we're restricted in our travels by her work schedule. look into mount desert island, canoeing the allagash, or baxter state park. you cant beat eating a lobster roll at a local shack while sitting on a dock somewhere on our coast.
I love how Fin is always smiling. When you are enjoying where you are at, it comes through and makes me want to be there. (PS. I've already been to see Gen Sherman/Grant!!)
Being a life long resident of Ca I had to watch your video when I saw the title and I am glad I did ,I loved it. Seeing the fire devastation and being a retired Firefighter I loved your contribution from this video an seeing someone actually visit my town of Ventura and do some diving in local water was amazing as well. Beingf a small time Van Lifer I watch a lot of films such as yours and this is one of the best I have seen. Thank You
This wasn’t just a regular video - it was like a therapy for the mind! Beautifully shot and edited. Subscribed to your channel - I Am your new fan from the U.K. Keep up the good work and show us many places - my absolute favourites are Michigan (which is where you are from ;)), Vermont, Maine, West Virginia and Utah

Now you know why I love the western United States, grew up on a ranch in Nevada, fishing at lake Tahoe and water sports on lake Mead, taco and Hoover dam on lake Mead are two things that you absolutely must see, my favorite place on in lake Tahoe was emerald Bay !!
We did a Campervan in ca. We did SF down to Ventura and back. Our son lived in Redwood City area. Ours was about 4 years ago. We had to take detour due to landslide closed one area of Hwy 1. I had heard about 2 landslides. One was cleared but the 2nd one was further south. I had called CHP and they told us Hwy 1 was open. Wrong! We had to drive back north a hour to get over the mountain area. We loved it as we were able to take pictures along the way and found places to park at night. We plan to do it again and go further inland to Yosemite and other places. It was nice parking near Santa Cruz. Just a block from the beach. We loved the Sunset beach area and stayed there 2 nights.
This video so was well put together and the editing is beautiful! This is a trip I plan to take within the next couple years. Watching this I definitely learned some new spots to stop at ! Thank you for sharing !! Also I’m a Michigan girl too 😜
👍👍Excellent vlogumentary, Just about 3 months back We had been Yosemite National Park, wonderful, Thank you very very much. 🙏🙏 ( from India ) 🙂 Best wishes,
Glad you visit and do Vlog in my home state California. Love you both 👍🙂. Btw, you should come back and visit...After a few winter storms, we have plenty of water now ☺️
I want to hate you guys because you look so perfect, but I can’t. I love you because you’re quirky and funny and a little goofy. This is the 2nd vid I’ve seen from you and I lust loved it. I live in Bakersfield,CA, and have been everywhere you went, except Tahoe. You’re emotions are awesome and warranted. Thank you for being so honest and lovely. 🥰 XOXO to Pepper!
You guys definitely made the right plan as far as your route. Sorry about the smoke. Wish you would have hit Road's End in Kings Canyon Nat'l Park. I grew up just a few miles from where you entered Yosemite. Sadly that fire was treacherous and destroyed pretty much every place I camped, fished, hunted and hiked in the Sierra National Forest all around the boundary of YNP.
Thank you for reminding me of why I live here.I cannot wait to get back to road tripping around Ca.I have been to all these places but have to go again when COVID is over and also when it's not so crowded. So much to see!
I've really enjoyed this compilation of your trip. You guys seem genuinely happy. My cat enjoys watching Pepper 😂. Also, I really enjoy the music you used. I wish knew the artist, and could listen to them more often.
there are two main ways to get great internet as a nomad. if your budget is tight, get visible phone service and a signal booster. visible is only 25 a month for unlimited everything, even hotspot. you will be deprioritized in urban areas, but that's no issue for a boondocker. it uses Verizon towers and works great, especially boosted. I have had internet way way out boondocking on 4wd only trails. if you have the extra money, get starlink. it is very fast and will work anywhere, but runs over 100 a month, and several hundred just to get set up. if you really want internet basically everywhere, get both. also, you need solar as a full time boondocker, especially if you need internet. you can stay out for months if you wanted with the right setup.
1:03:09 my wife and I got married at Logan Shoals (which is really close to where you are in this section of your video) 25 years ago. (Named our son Logan). Sunset wedding with absolutely clear skies and unbelievably beautiful scenery. Just her, the fellow who wed us and a photographer. She’s still a hottie and we’re still happily married!!! LOVE CALIFORNIA geographically. 😉
Accident get into your you tube channel but i am enjoy it..right now i am watching your video of California road trip..it is my state where i been live here in southern CA near Little Saigon Vietnamese trip in Westminster,CA. Hope you both will enjoy life in travel. CA/USA
I loved this video! Just finished watching the the Maui and Yucatán ones and this rolled on. You’ve got me wanting to visit the Yucatán and Belize now. I live in Napa Valley and drive small wine tours to wineries that are not open to the public. I see you met my friends Roy and Enoch at Girard. If you come back, hit me up, I’d love to take you two in a backroads tour! In Tahoe national forest and around the area there are a bunch of natural hot springs! Also Fallen Leaf lake and Lilly lake up there are beautiful as well! Little alpine lakes with great hiking or cross country skiing. Coming down from Tahoe in the Sierra foothills there are other wine regions that make amazing wines in Placerville and over in Murphy’s. You can do Big Trees state park, (a mini Yosemite) doable in a couple of hours... go cave exploring at moaning caverns, and check out an old gold rush town and see the town where Mark Twain wrote the story The great jumping frog of Calaveras county all in one day. You hit a lot of the highlights of Cali, but there is so much to see! Thanks for sharing! I love your videos!
Really loved traveling "virtually" with you guys during Covid. Just a heads up on CA pronunciation, Tioga Pass is pronounced: Thai - Yoga. Keep up the great vids!
I'm a SPARTAN. I end up visiting South Lake Tahoe in June, camping in Catalina Island in July, Zion & camping at Bryce Canyon/Vegas in Aug, camping in Carlsbad state beach in Sept, all of it in 2020 because of COVID restrictions. Hopefully my original 2020 bucket list travel to Jordan/Israel/Egypt will happen end of summer this year. My apt lease will end in June, I'm thinking of van life while job hunting.
I love the channel and the fact that not only ya’ll show lovely places but you guys recommend rental places and gear and travel plans … makes you guys even more amazing♥️♥️. Glad I found this
It's always worth it for watching over 2 hours you guys deserved it. Such an amazing journey so many unforgettable good memories you've brought to us viewers. Thank you so much for sharing your video of new followers here watching from the Philippines. Cheers!👍😍🙏

Hmm. There are lots of great boondocking spots all over the world. Especially helpful during a pandemic as well. And not only beaches but upon cliffs, etc.
I enjoyed your video. All the trees were beautiful. I'm definetly becoming a subscriber. I heard about your channel through Taylor's grand adventures. Love your content p.s. Your dog is adorable. I look forward to watching more of your videos
I love you videos !!! I get to relive past trips and get to see ones I’ve never been to through you guys . We’re booking Maui tonight 😉 the big island is the place for Manta rays
Thank you both for all the great content in your videos. Im planning a trip and watching your videos really helps to make the most of my trip. Thank you. Stay safe and keep on rolling down the road. ✌&❤
Also I will make a suggestion for your products with motorcycle travelers! Even though I haven't yet bought any of your products, I can really see how they can help motorcycle travelers organize and pack! Suggestion since you BOTH have ridden motorcycles I would highly encourage you guys into a line of products packing motorcycles with it without bags!
If you need to take a dump you while traveling in different countries you do as they do! End of discussion! I've traveled and been there! In several different cultures and how IT REAL HAPPENS! USA AMERICANS that sit and judge other countries that live life to survive have no REAL IDEA OR CLUE! AS GOD SAID YOU AREN'T THE JUDGE! ONLY GOD IS!
Great adventure for you "YOUNGSTERS". Above a certain age though? A more "permanently affixed" accomodation (With FULL indoor plumbing!) is much desired instead.
Hahahaha! Fin is just like me in the woods! I’m almost like a dog hanging my head out the window with my tongue hanging out! I’m soooo excited by all the incredible beauty and just can’t help myself. So cute! Spectacular trip you guys. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Your vlog docu was an inspiration for adventure and travel buddies like us. I miss doing this with my wife too and our fur babies.
Welcome to my state! You're seeing the best that CA has to offer! Happy travels!
The excitement on her face is everything I can’t wait to take this trip with my husband next fall!
The shots of Fin and Pepper, silhouetted on the board in the lake...the beauty and poetry of nature. I just had to turn away.

Fantastic advert for the US! Love Pepper. 🐾🐻🐩🦝
Nice summer road trip compilation. Btw, I bought your back pack a year ago, it is holding up well and I love it.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, your video’s are brilliant. Great picture and sound....
Thank you very much!

This was really cool to see all the episodes put into one. Enjoyed this. Grand Canyon might be an option.
I don't even need to smell that morning mist to know it's 100% wildfire smoke..

Absolutely 👐🏻 this is real life not Hollywood crap 💩
Hmm. There are lots of great boondocking spots all over the world. Especially helpful during a pandemic as well. And not only beaches but upon cliffs, etc.
Does it get better than boondocking in a camper? We love some of the places throughout the western states!
I enjoyed your video. All the trees were beautiful. I'm definetly becoming a subscriber. I heard about your channel through Taylor's grand adventures. Love your content p.s. Your dog is adorable. I look forward to watching more of your videos
Thats so sad to me to see Yosemite as a former shadow of it self! No falls! Is your hat on amazon cart? I love it!!

Good thing you got to see the Sequoias before the fires this year
Also I will make a suggestion for your products with motorcycle travelers!

I am grateful for beautiful videos like this 😍
Thank you!
You have fanny Pool video i Love it )) 🥰
Great adventure for you "YOUNGSTERS". Above a certain age though? A more "permanently affixed" accomodation (With FULL indoor plumbing!) is much desired instead.
Please throw some maps in to show us where in the world we are! Love this vlog! And just now the first map popped up! Thanks!
Hahahaha! Fin is just like me in the woods! I’m almost like a dog hanging my head out the window with my tongue hanging out! I’m soooo excited by all the incredible beauty and just can’t help myself. So cute! Spectacular trip you guys. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Whataburger is my favorite. I also really like Cracker Barrel too.
