Plano Airliner Rod Tube Review and Tips

Took my first fishing vacation to Florida a week ago and purchased this rod tube to transport our rods. This model is a Plano Jumbo Airliner and so far I have been very happy with It. At $100 dollars this rod tube is affordable and convent for flying with luggage wheels and foam padding built into the tube which I show in the video. This Rod Tube extend to fit up to a 9ft one piece rod which is another thing that sold me on this model. Along with the size the diameter is very large and can easily accommodate 10+ rods inside the tube. My only recommendation would be to find a way to secure the locking pin to the rod tube case so it doesn't get lost when being checked by the airline.

Just bought this. We are moving to Qatar for 3-4 yrs so im bringing most of my rods with me. Thanks for these tips. Will definitely use the lanyard for the clip as well as blocking off the other holes with tape. Great idea.

Great idea with the steel wire attached to the pin and cover the non used holes. I was going to use a TSA lock 🔐 at the end. I have a Flambeau Bazooka tube. But I'm going to cabelas to check this tube out. Do u recommend a TSA lock 🔐 or no?

Better not to to prevent any damage. When I travelled to Oman with friends, we put all our rods in the tube and our reels in our suitcases and then when we reached, we put them back together again.
