The Curado K is an unbelievable reel. It’s a tank. Smooth as can be. But I have em both and love both. Don’t think you can go wrong.

I’ve had a Curado K for about 3 months and after I got it set up I don’t have to change anything for different weight. Only have to change brakes to 2.5-3.5 for windy days

Just received a Shimano K for Christmas. It is my first Shimano. I am a Lews guy and have over 20 reels from them. It seems to do very well with full casts, but does poorly with intermediate to short casts. The first 20 yards or so is prone to backlash a lot. And I rarely backlash when fishing. If you make a full cast it will get past the very loose area and tighten up and end up very smooth. I am generally a target fisher, so this reel will not get used very much. maybe I can use it for catfishing.

I think they’re both pretty awesome reels. I threw some 30lb braid on my curado and it’s been amazing...but I’ve always like the slx dc as well! Thanks for the view! Tight lines
I own curado dc, slx dc, and curado k, I choose the slx dc all day because of its comfort and more affordable price zone

Which is the line capacity on both models?
SLX 110 yards of 12lb mono / Curado is 110 yards of 14lb mono… I hope this helps

what line do you got on the curado k
I’ve got 30lb power pro on it right now. In the video I was using 15lb floro
No James David get a Abu Garcia Revo 4 better reel for the same price as the slx dc
Abu will never compare to any Shimano
