The way I explain it is that anxiety disorder produces fear pretty much out of nowhere and since our brains are very very good at pattern matching we at a base level just have to match up that fear to a cause. Some people will match that to another base fear (fear of always feeling unsafe etc) while others who have gotten to the point that notice that the fear has no source still have issues because then you develop a fear of fear.
Hey guys just wondering if anyone has had hyperawareness of your thoughts, it’s like I’ve become conscious of my own mind ! Any success stories or tips, many thanks
I’m on my sons account bc I monitor it but I’m a 28 yr old female and have been searching for the same exact thing you just asked about. It seems like I haven’t found anyone who understands what I’m talking about except you. I don’t feel like I’m unreal I just am too aware of my thoughts and my conscious that it gives anxiety bc we shouldn’t be so self aware like this 😅
I am hyper aware of my thought process, and afraid I am going crazy. How to unlearn that habit? Is that a part of DPDR? Like: let me see what I am thinking about now? And then I start thinking about thinking and I get lost...Is is possible to recover from that?
Yeah before watching your vids and reading the book I was like very hyper aware. I would check my pulse, check sensations like every 5mins and it was a nightmare for me. So I began to stop crossing my legs to break a bad habit. not anxiety habit but i notice my legs are slightly tingling and I feel like anxiety is at it again. I meeting it with the right response but still funny how it happening over breaking a bad habit not related to anxietyu=

Love the way you said this. Couldn’t agree more
But how do you stop the fear of fear lop
Don't fight with your anxiety. It just makes matters worse.
