    Dear Sandy,
Amprius is very secretive on the price of their batteries.
Could you please give us a rough estimate on how much they will cost if they ever manage to mass manufacture them.

Might be a good option for Aptera which (at this point) won't need large numbers of batteries and would benefit the most from a high capacity battery like this. The only issue might be cost. I don't imagine that Amprius are going to be able to ramp production to the point where they will have the huge economies of scale that the Chinese companies like CATL have, so the cost per unit will be high.

I can see a good opportunity to supply Aptera with those cells. It can give very high visibility to Amprius in a vehicle that will become an advertising magnet. Only one cell format will be able to accommodate all the 3 range options by reducing the cell’s number in the reduced one. Cost is a factor but if you cut the cells number in half, you can double the unit cost to obtain the same results.

Now they just need to make them in volume, and make them generally available so we can build race vehicles.
Until then we will use what cells are actually available to build batteries (NMC 18650s).

They should be talking to koenigsegg and other high end car manufacturers as well!

Amazing, but I'm struggling to grasp the notion that 90% of the market for such batteries is in flying vehicles. Could you please evaluate the accuracy and realism of his market projections for 2025? His (biased) forecast suggests that batteries for electric flying vehicles will capture 90% or more of the total available market, with an estimated market value of around $65 billion. Additionally, the market for batteries in flying vehicles, including both unmanned and manned crafts, is expected to be approximately $50 billion. This figure includes various types of flying vehicles such as Urban Air Mobility vehicles, commonly known as flying cars, and high-altitude pseudo-satellites, which I can see adds to the TAM, but by that much ? Seems implausible. Do you think these projections are plausible given current trends and potential technological advancements?

Sandy - will the Chinese steal Amprius' technology?

If this is such a great battery, and will make them so much money, why does this guy hold no shares and whenever he exercises his option for shares he immediately sells them? As President and COO it doesn't inspire confidence for investors.

He sells shares to keep the corporate expense of compensation down. Saves the company money. Rather than take a big salary (and a big expense to the company) he just sells shares.

So you're saying investors should pay his salary instead of compensation coming from profits? That's not the argument you think it is.
