I have done many evil sins in my life. I was wretched and deserving of hell. I was lost in nihilism and despair. It's only through God's love for me that I have grace and hope through my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Without Jesus I am NOTHING and have NOTHING. Glory to God and Jesus for ever and ever, amen.

@Caleb I recently had a JW ask me if I believe there is a heaven, I replied 'Yes, there is a heaven and hell' he paused and then started talking about how we return to the earth as dust. As a former JW, is it their beliefs that here on earth is heaven/paradise hence why they don't believe that there is a heaven? I'm only asking as the guy didnt come right out and say they/he doesn't believe there is a heaven so that just got me thinking about it....

Chani Iosia-Sipeli They believe in heaven, but it is a spiritual realm only and only spirits go there. So Jesus (no bodily resurrection), angels, 144000. They believe most Christians will live out their lives on a renewed earth. A good place to start is daenglund.com, he has loads of great free articles

    • @therabbitv676

the gospel is really for those who are not Christian and didn't believe the Bible.... tell them that it is a must for everyone to believe Bible because it is the only message of God for the salvation of all humanity.... and anyone who rejected the message of the Bible about Jesus will end up in hell fire. that is enough gospel to preach.

I think we've got this whole "Apologetics" thing quite wrong, there is this "militant" or combative form of Apologetics that is dangerous and that I disagree with, there isn't even such a thing as an "apologist" in the Bible, Ephesians 4:11-12 says *"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up"* where are "apologists" here? Of course 1 Peter 3:15 does say to "always be prepared to give a (verbal) defence ( Apologian in Greek) to anyone who asks us for the reason for the hope that is in us", but it's NOT specific to "apologists" it is for ALL Christians in general and the purpose of it is to give them an opening to share the Gospe, so the more accurate term would be "evangelism" instead of "apologetics", and this kind of militant "apologetics" is also being misapplied and misdirected, what I mean is "apologetics" should be conditional since 1 Peter 3:15 says tgat we are to give a defence ONLY IF somone "asks us" and not to deliberately go into war with just about any non-christian who doesn't even care and just wants to debate, that's why I also don't believe in street preaching or door-to-door missionary services, as a result of this we attract the wrong kind of people like the athiests and other critics who come to Christian videos only to bash Christianity and poison the place, when they're not even welcome or needed, Christianity is not for them, but if someone is ASKING us, it means the Holy Spirit is convicting and drawing them, "apologetics" should only be for GENUINE skeptics not for critics, there's a difference between a "skeptic" and a "critic" a skeptic is somone who is seeking genuine answers to questions, they're still seekers, whereas a critic is someone who is already CONVINCED in thier minds that Christianity is false such as Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Cosmicskeptic etc. they have already arrived at a conclusion, so we needn't give them any attention, don't even watch thier videos, we need to focus more on THE CHURCH, rectifying and edifying CHRISTIANS, we need to focus more on our spiritual growth by fasting, prayer, worship and meditating on the word, also we often leave out the most important part of 1 peter 3:15 *"but respond with gentleness and respect"*

Be encouraged since the conversation continues. Write down the scriptures he is using and go home and review them later. Also, study and review scriptures on the subject just because. Don't do it just for the convo but to know what the scriptures say yourself. I've been taking shorthand notes on scriptures that support the deity of Christ so I can better remember what is in the word and where it is. You never know what scripture will be best and when.

A drowning man doesn't need a fine-looking rope. Any rope will do. The issue I have with this seeming new wave of people seeking to identify as an apologist is that we seem to spend so much time 'defending the faith,' rather than actually seeking and saving the lost. We seek to convince people with fine-sounding arguments, when I have never heard of Jesus engaging people in these debates which most times are very lengthy, draining, and most times, our time could have been better spent ministering to people who were really hungry to receive Christ. His message was done through simple parables and miraculous signs and wonders. He told us that the harvest is ready but the workers are few. In that metaphor that Jesus gave, an apologetic would be someone trying to assess whether the fruit was ready to be picked. He could be right and lead someone to Christ, but he could be wrong as well. Re the person that is truly ready to receive Christ, you can tell right that right off the bat, much like when you see that ripened fruit on a tree. They are not trying to win an argument, they don't require an apologetic-leveled defense; your testimony most times will suffice and there you go! Too many times I see apologetics argue for hours, everyone walks away still cleaving to their own beliefs, and even worse, even if the apologist so-called 'won,' may never even take that opportunity to lead that person to Christ. We have people committing suicide, overdosing on drugs, alone in hospitals, foster care, in elderly homes and here we are, taking that verse from Peter and making a profession, a title, a ministry out of it. The world is drowning and we are the lifeguard trying to save someone with a fancy rope, even though that person may not even be in the pool.

  • @theoskeptomai2535
    @theoskeptomai2535 3 роки тому

Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending acknowledgement of the existence of gods until sufficient evidence can be presented. My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the existence of gods._*
And here is the evidence as to why I currently hold to such a position.
    1. I personally have never observed a god.
    2. I have never encountered a person whom has claimed to have observed a god.
    3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity.
    4. I have never been presented a valid logical argument which also employed sound premises that lead deductively to a conclusion that a god(s) exists.
    5. Of the 46 logical syllogisms I have encountered arguing for the existence of a god(s), I have found all to contain multiple fallacious or unsubstantiated premises.
    6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon.
    7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._
    8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event.
    9. Every phenomena that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity.
    10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction, or do not present as falsifiable.
ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the existence of a god.
I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding such acknowledgement until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstatiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._*
I welcome any cordial response. Peace.

  • @theautisticpage

The reason apologetics exisist is that for what ever reason a lack of exisistance or a lack of interest, god can not or does not tell us anything. So we are expected to rely on humans to tell us what to believe. This is too important to just take some humans word for it. If god doesn't bother to tell me this stuff then why should I believe that he tells other people stuff. People lie so if god does not bother to tell me stuff it is not important enough to bother with myself. Then of course the same apologetics is required for any god that does not exist. Makes one question things. So the fact that apologetics exist undermines said religion.
