A few years ago a Muslim asked me “how can 3 be 1 that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard?” So I tried to explain it this way, I described God as a Mango (lol I’m not a pro). When we see the fruit, we call it mango (God) but it consists of Flesh (Son), Meat (Father) and Seed (Holy spirit). They each have their own function, but in the end it’s a mango. Loved the video, looking forward to meeting y’all in Nov at the PIA tour!

Why the Trinity is required for a proper understanding of the Gospel
The doctrine of the Trinity is one of the most misunderstood and ridiculed concepts in all of Christianity. Many Muslims, Mormons, atheists, etc all believe that the Trinity is not only illogical but also that it’s unnecessary. Many seem to see the doctrine of the Trinity as a stumbling block to what they see as a simple understanding of the gospel. We must not fall into the same line of reasoning as unbelievers do but we must explain to them why the doctrine of the Trinity is necessary for a proper understanding of the gospel. There are both philosophical and biblical reasons to uphold the doctrine of the Trinity in relation to salvation but we will only explore three tonight.
    Summary of Reasons
    1. Without the doctrine of the Trinity, salvation began with God but was achieved through a created being which makes creation our savior instead of our creator.
    2. Without the doctrine of the Trinity, we have to question the validity of the New Testament because we are directed to pray to Christ but if Jesus isn’t God then should we pray to Him or worship Him?
    3. Without the doctrine of the Trinity, God becomes distant and slightly apathetic towards us since he sent a creature to perform the most important act in all of history.
    Explanation of Reason 1
We see verses repeatedly in the Old Testament where God is declared as the savior of his people (Isaiah 43:10-13, Psalm 106:21 etc) and prophets proclaiming that salvation belongs to the Lord alone (Jonah 2:9; Psalm 3:8; Psalm 37:39; etc). We see this same title of savior used of Jesus in the New Testament (Acts 13:23, Titus 3:4-6, Philippians 3:20 etc). We even have verses so explicit as to center Jesus as the one who saves his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21) and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). So where does the disconnect occur?
The disconnect happens once you claim that Jesus is merely a created being of God the Father who gets called Lord, savior, God, etc. You would then have something God created playing the role of God to the rest of creation. The doctrine of the Trinity alleviates this problem because the doctrine of the Trinity states that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are equal in divine status and nature yet take different roles in the accomplishment of the salvation of the world. You no longer would have the Son doing what only God is said to do for his creation but instead you would have God the Son accomplishing it himself. No being who is limited in his attributes can do for us what only God is able to accomplish. Salvation only comes through the Lord (Revelation 7:10) which means that we have both a biblical and philosophical necessity to uphold the doctrine of the Trinity for a proper understanding of the gospel.
    Explanation of reason 2
The New Testament directs us not only to pray to Jesus (John 14:14; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Revelation 22:20; 1 John 5:11-15 etc) but also calls for us to worship him (Philippians 2:5-11; Revelation 5:12-14; Etc). Yet how could we believe that praying to, worshipping and believing that Jesus is our savior be anything other than idolatry if Jesus is a created being and not God Himself? How could we trust the New Testament if it tells us that we should be doing all of the things for Jesus that reserved for God alone such as prayer, worship, calling upon his name etc? Paul himself even faults those who worship the creation instead of the creator in Romans 1:25 yet Paul had no issue applying Isaiah 45:23 to Jesus in Philippians 2:10-11.
If we can’t even get a coherent message of who we’re supposed to worship, pray to and call upon as our savior from the New Testament then what use does it have in drawing us closer to God? The trinitarian understanding avoids this shortcoming because Jesus himself is divine in his very nature as God incarnate but is distinct from both the Father and the Holy Spirit in personhood. Therefore praying to Jesus, worshipping him as Lord etc is not only acceptable but is required.
    Explanation of reason 3
The resurrection of Jesus is the most important event in all of history for many reasons that I won’t take the time to exhaustively list. The resurrection of Jesus assures us that he was who he who said he was, that he did what he said he would do and that he will return someday to judge the living and the dead before ushering in the New heavens and new earth. The issue arises when we consider the idea that a created being accomplished the greatest act of self-sacrificial love of all time. How can a created being love us more than God does? If Jesus is not God then God becomes distant and the 2nd most loving being in all of existence at best. God would be seen as sending someone to do something that he himself was unwilling to do for us and that is implausible. The Gospel is captured perfectly in John 3:16 but we must not read John 3:16 without remembering what John 1:1-18 said before it.

(Colessians 1:15) jesus was the First born over all Creation...

I just want to say that I follow both you and your wife and I thank God for the both of you and I pray that he bless your marriage and your children. I saw your video when you were talking with the Jehovah's Witness I can't remember his name but I think you did a wonderful job I pray that I will have that type of boldness as well I share the gospel often. Also I want to share this first with you from John 17:5 " And now O Father glorify Me together with Yourself with the glory which I had with You before the world was." This just blows my mind and further prove what you were speaking to the Jehovah's Witnesses about how Christ always exist before anything was ever created, He was there.

Jesus is also saying Glorify me *with the Glory* I had *with* you before creation.
Oneness and Unitarians don't like these biblical truths because Yahweh many times says thay he *does not share* his glory with another.
So why is Jesus talking about a glory he *shared* with *the Father* before the creation of the World. . .
You are on the right track sister. Praise God!

One example someone told me is the example of water. That even though there is ice, liquid water, and water vapor (steam), they are all water, just in three different forms that serve three different purposes. You wouldn’t drink a cup of steam, in the same way you wouldn’t use normal water to make your drink cold, or put ice in a pot to boil something.

    • @viviennebaptiste
      @viviennebaptiste 2 роки тому

At this point Christians need to stop with this whole trinity situation it's getting old. The trinity does not exist, do your research. I'm not a JW but they are correct when they say that the trinity is full of paganism, influenced by Greek philosophy and man's opinions. The trinity was MAN'S attempt to explain how God is one yet manifests Himself in different ways. You can never use any form of illustration with the trinity because you will always fall short. The trinity is just a bunch of confusion not a Biblical doctrine. It's true that God is too big that we will never fully grasp Him but one thing about God is He will make Himself known. Time and time again God has said that He is ABSOLUTLEY one not three. So the water analogy is not it. For you to use this analogy is for you to be in support of modalism which is a heresy.

When it comes down to it... I’ve had a natural belief in the trinity growing up. And the different functions of God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and Ive has a personal journey with God. I’ve prayed and he’s answered, I’ve asked to receive the gifts of tongues and he answered, and I have a desire for relationship with God. I’ve felt no hindrance in my relationship with Jesus mentally separating them in a way to different functions. I pray to the Holy Spirit to do His function, (intercede for me, and to draw people to Christ, etc.) I pray to Jesus because he’s my intercessor to the Father, and I sing worship to Jesus God and Holy sprit. But I understand I’m not believing in 3 different Gods. Why? Because I believe in God, the Son, the Holy Spirit. And I mentally have to in some way to look at it in three different functions but God isn’t mad or punishing me for that. All being Divine. God sent Jesus and he gave honor to the Father and he also told his disciples that he was God. And when he left The Holy Spirit indwelled in the disciples. Sometimes we gotta go with the flow. If God said it, (by scripture showing evidence of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) we gotta believe even if it’s against our intellect and our minds. Like trusting your parents to come through for you even when you feel like they won’t. And they said “just trust me” that’s how I picture the trinity.

The trinity does not exist, why are we still talking about this? If you say one God, three manifestations that's correct but this whole one God three persons ideology is made up. Btw God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are unbiblical terms, it's either Son of God or the Spirit of God. For you to say God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit literally makes them three gods no matter how much you want to say you believe in one.

Hey brother’s and sister’s. I truly love to see when people love and is passionate about Our Creator. Hence, what I truly recommend for people that’s wholeheartedly wanting to draw closer and get true wisdom and understanding is to earnestly pray. God would reveal so much to you if you channel in with him and his son. My second suggestion, if your weaknesses is reading and comprehension also try to seek help first with improving your Reading, and Language Art. So many suffer from getting closer to God because of Literacy. Thus all is not lose, because God still help and is with people that have literacy issues but first you have to acknowledge where you lack at so he can continue to help you. Next, get a bible that’s in Modern English and try to read the Bible throughly for yourself. The best way to discover and find the truth is YOU finding it. Then it would surely Resonate with your heart because it suddenly click and grasp to you. Remember people use their platform on UA-cam to tell you their opinion and idea so when a topic is as deep as religion be skeptical of what you hear and learn if it’s not referencing the scriptures where you can read and grasp everything in context. Also, if someone do reference a scripture read not only the scriptures but goes far as reading the chapters if necessary. Do these things first and hope this guide you. As for the Trinity? Research where that word Trinity came from first? Also ask yourself is this word mention in the Bible? Then you can start from there. If you guys need any help or reference to find the answer using the Bible and not word of someone/ man on UA-cam. I’m willing to guide you through our Creator scriptures and not to my own understanding. Take care and bless.
So for a moment let’s put bible away and focus on English and Reading Comprehension. I’m going to provide a fill in the blank question and hopefully it would click/digest in your mind.
1st. Instructions: For every fill-in the blank put ONLY ONE of your parents name in the blank. Then read it out loud to yourself.
    Daughter of ____________.
    Son of ________________.
2nd. Instructions: NOW get your bible. Read accordingly.
    1 John 5:5
    1 John 5: 9-13
    Luke 1:30-32
    John 20:31
    John 5:25
    Matthew 3:16-17
    Luke 10:22
    John 6:44 and John 6:40
    Mark 5:7
Psalms 83:18 (Get Your Grandma Old King James)
3rd. Instruction: From the above Bible scriptures. Ask yourself who is the Son? What’s the Son’s name? Then ask yourself why is the Son always referencing his Father. Next ask yourself what’s God’s name? Then ask yourself why God is always referencing his Son.
Then get your grandma old King James Bible again and reference Psalms 83:18.
Once you discover and find who is the Son and who is the Father. Let’s try the next instructions.
4th Instruction: Now we are going to reverse the role from the 1st instruction. For every fill-in the blank put your name. Then read it out loud to yourself.
    Mother of ____________.
    Father of _____________.
Answer Key: If Jesus said he’s the Son of God. That mean he have a Father. Now question is who’s is his daddy? Because he clearly said his Father sent me and no one can get to the Father unless they go through him. John 14:6

God is Love, and therefore we cannot say that love is only an action, for God is not only an action. God is Love and so Love (not an action) has always existed because God has always existed. In order words, Love has always existed, and the expression of it (the action part that you describe) only came about once God created beings and an entire universe that He loves. God is Love and He also Loves (the action). You appear to be confounding the two.

He is time and trust and truth. Jesus is the way to god because he showed us true love in selfless sacrifice. When you became full love you achieve what's called Christ conciousness. That's why Christ said, I and my father are one.

Have you ever read The Good God by Micheal Reeves? What you said here reminded me of what He extrapolates in this book about the Trinitarian (essentially relational nature) of God ...it was the first time I had this understanding of servant-hearted outwardly expressed love explained. It was revolutionary in my relationship with Him & in what it means to love others like Him...as well as giving the underlying logic of the one-person god which leads to tyrannical self-focused & self-glorying false form of love.

    • @viviennebaptiste
      @viviennebaptiste 2 роки тому

God is a relational God which is true, but it's not because He is a trinity. This is just another attempt by trinitarians to force the trinity doctrine in the Bible when it's not even there. God is Love that's His nature and He shares that love with His angels and all of His creation, and God loves Himself. He doesn't have to break into three to be love

The bible says all is out of God (1 Cor 8:6). Meaning that at one time all was in God. God did not make the universe out of nothing, which would imply that He is apart from it. But rather everything came out of Him, which would imply that creation had an intimate connection with God before He brought it into existence (Jer 1:5). Therefore God doesn't need a trinity in order to be Love, seeing as He Loved you and knew you before He created you.

the trinity is nowhere in the Bible, stop contradicting scripture with traditions of the church. This is one of the reasons people don't take Christians seriously, because you guys don't take scripture seriously, but you take traditions seriously. Even tho those traditions are no where in Scripture. The trinity is a manmade doctrine and there's nothing you can do about it. If there is anyone who knows who God is, it's God Himself and if He says He is ABSOLUTELY one then who are you to say that He is actually three?
That verse you pointed out is actually a forgery, it was added by trinitarians to support the trinity. Question is, if the Bible already talks about the trinity, why did the church feel the need to add a verse in to support the trinity??? This is why you can't trust every translation.
The ORIGINAL 1 John 5:7 states "For there are three that bear record in heaven the water, the blood and the Spirit and these three are in agreement"
so still nothing about a trinity, try again. do your research

He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.”

This is how I learn a bout the Trinity. we 1st need to prove that God is the Father John 17:3, 1Corintian 8:6 then also prove that the Son is God John 20:28 Hebrews 1:8 Col. 2:9, then about the Holy spirit is God Acts 5:3-4 Hebrews 3:7-11 , then proof that God the Father is eternal: 1Corintian 8:6 Mal.3:6 Then proof that Jesus the Son is eternal: Heb. 1:2 Col. 1:15-17 Then proof that the holy spirit is eternal Heb. 9:14, Job 33:4, Psalm 104:20. Then proof that God the Father is not the Holy Spirit John 14:26, 15:26
Then the proof that the holy Spirit is not Jesus the son . Acts 10:38 John 16:13-15, Then proof that the Son is not the Father John 6:38, 8:16 and 38, 17:5, then proof of 3 distinct persons that make up the trinity. Matthew 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14, Eph 4:4-6. when we use these steps it helps one to understand the trinity.

    • @viviennebaptiste
      @viviennebaptiste 2 роки тому

You just proved that there is one God. The Father is God, Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God, they aren't three distinct beings, that's what the church taught us not what the Bible taught us. If there is one God and all of these are God, then it's the one God showing Himself to us in different ways. if you read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation it's clear that it is only one God who can manifest in different ways. There is no way to prove the trinity because it doesn't exist and any respectable and honest theologian will tell you the same thing, that the trinity is unbiblical. By the way the Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 1:11) but yet the Bible says that there is only one spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6). We don't have 3 spirits living within us, it's only one spirit who is called by different names and operates in different ways.

This is an interesting question. Just off of my thoughts I would say that God is and always has been a lot of traits- but not every trait was immediately revealed or expressed. So just like his creations (us) allowed him to reveal more of who He is- so were those new traits like mercy (never before having been needed, but newly and perfectly revealed), showed themselves. And that just confirms how he’s always been love because mercy is born of love. You know, mercy in its purest form is simply an action of love. So an aspect of mercy has always existed in him even before it was required because of it being a part of love, and so it just took the creation of us to be able to glorify that part (and all other parts) of Him.

    Hi Preston,
What do you say about the belief that the Trinity is a forged doctrine during the time of the publication of the KJV translation? I am currently a study with Jehovah witnesses and right now there is great confliction within my heart due to the conviction they have on their truth.
Why do you think God allowed for many translations with different theological narratives to persist and flourish?
JWs are currently 8 million strong I believe. My heart inherently disagrees with their doctrine because it lowers Jesus from the place he rightfully belongs. What breaks my heart on the matter is that these people are great people. It is evident that they truly love God but they could potentially be led into the wrong truth about Jesus. It comes down to it being either I’m wrong or they are wrong. Either way, the fact remains, why did God allow for this confusion to flourish? Why do soo many denominations exist the way it does? Why is Christianity in the state that it is in?

    • @ScagsTheHobo

Many of Paul's epistles were dedicated to correcting false doctrine. This is nothing new, there have always been false teachers flourishing in the Christian community. When that happens we should prolly just be like Paul and correct the false teaching.
Also, the trinity didn't come into the picture during the production of the KJV. It's the apostolic teaching concerning the identity of the God of scripture. That wouldn't make sense given the council of nicea (325 AD) was full of trinitarians. :^\

That's what most of us fail to understand. ❤️There will be new nations on the new earth and the new heaven will always be open. The glory of God will give light to the new earth and there'll be no night. The kings of the new nations will come to worship God in the city of God. See when you're taught the book of revelations you'll just love it. It's amazing. And a lot. I can't type it here. But if you're on whatsapp kindly text me +233245016542 for further discussion okay. My Brother if you say the Father is God Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit is God and there’re Co-equal thats three Gods! The Bible doesn’t teach one God as unity of three. Question, when Jesus walked the earth and taught about who God was(Matt 6:24-34,John 4:21-24) how many did he mention? And did Jesus ever claim to be God?

    • @viviennebaptiste

I agree with you until the last part. Jesus indeed is God, if you read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation you'll see that Jesus is the God of the Old Testament and the best way to figure that out is see what people called God in the Old Testament, see what God said about Himself and what He did in the Old Testament then see what Jesus said and did and what people said about Him. For example:
      - We have one Creator
      God: Genesis 1:1, Job 33:4
yet Jesus is our Creator as well: John 1:10, Colossians 1:16
      -One Alpha and Omega
      God: Isaiah 44:6, Isaiah 48:12
      Jesus: Revelation 1:17, Revelation 22:13
      -One God
      The Father: Malachi 2:10
      Jesus: Titus 2:13, Acts 20:28
If I showed you my ring, invited you to my wedding, and showed you a picture of my fiancée you'll automatically know that I am engaged, I don't have to say "I am engaged" for you to realize that. Jesus didn't have to say "I am God" for Him to be God, as a matter of fact everyone around Him knew that's what He implied which is why they tried to kill Him( John 8:58-59). Jesus didn't say "I am God" because that's too plain and basic, that's something a pretender would say, such as the people claiming to be Jesus on UA-cam, they just say "I am Jesus". But instead what Jesus did, was He compared Himself to the God of the Old Testament because He knew that they would be more familiar with the OT. If you compare Jesus to the God of the OT they are the same. (1 Timothy 3:16, Colossians 2:9)

@@viviennebaptiste Let me explain myself another way; In Identity Jesus is not God that is his Father, Jesus always identified himself as the Son of God. Notice: John 9:35-37 “Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? [36] He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? [37] And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee” John 10:36 “Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?” This is what I mean when I said Did Jesus ever claim to be God. The whole reason why John wrote his gospel is because of this notice also; John 20:30-31 “And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: [31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Now Christ is God in nature (John 1:1) he is Deity he’s in the express image of his Father(Hebrews 1:3) You mentioned Jesus is the God of the Old Testament, that is not true, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob the God of the Old Testament is the Father, So do you want to debate with the Apostle Peter? Because that is what he said. Notice what He says to the Jews in Acts 3:11-15 “And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. [12] And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? [13] The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. [14] But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; [15] And killed the Prince f of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.” You see Christ is the Son of the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. So let’s not confuse his identity(Christ is the Son of God) with his nature( Christ is God)

@@DonjohnsonBG I think I see what you're saying thanks. BTW the 4 gospels show different views of Jesus so do other books. For example, books that talk about Jesus' deity would be( John, Colossians, Titus, Acts 20:28) books that talk about His humanity( Luke, Acts) books that talk about Jesus' kingship would be (Matthew, and Ephesians).

“Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?” -Proverbs 30:4
What is the name of the Spirit that you received if thou canst tell?
👉"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you"👈. -John 14:18 👉"I and my Father are one"👈. -John 10:30
Jesus is the Holy Spirit that you received! Even our Apostle Paul tells us that👇 911
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ that dwells in us!
👉the Spirit of God dwell in you👈.
    👉the Spirit of Christ,👈
    👉Christ be in you👈
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that 👉the Spirit of God dwell in you👈.
Now if any man have not 👉the Spirit of Christ,👈 he is none of his.
And if 👉Christ be in you👈, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
But if 👉the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you👈, 👉he that raised up Christ from the dead👈shall also quicken your mortal bodies 👉by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”👈 -Romans 8:9-11
"And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the 👉Spirit of his Son👈into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." -Galatians 4:6
    "There is 👉one body, and one Spirit👈, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
👉One Lord👈, one faith, one baptism,
👉One God and Father of all👈, who is above all, and through all, and 👉in you all👈." -Ephesians 4:4-6
One Spirit God who manifested in the flesh who is both the Father and the Son by his own Spirit. “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” -1 Timothy 3:16
"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the 👉Father and the Son👈.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall 👉continue in the Son, and in the Father👈. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life." -1 John 2:22-25
"And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the 👉Spirit of his Son👈into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." -Galatians 4:6
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God(Spirit of Jesus), they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption (Spirit of Christ), whereby we cry, Abba, Father." -Romans 8:14-15
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, 👉THE EVERLASTING FATHER👈, The Prince of Peace." -Isaiah 9:6
Jesus is the Father! Trinitarian cast out those other two spirits named Father and Holy Spirit!
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth 👉all the fulness👈 of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the 👉head of ALL👈 principality and power:" -Colossians 2:8-10
Jesus is the Word, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit! All titles for our Spirit God who is One Spirit. Great is the mystery of godliness!
    "For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of 👉the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ👈;" -Colossians 2:1-2
Even the disciples realized after the Spirit of Christ was given at Pentecost that they were to look at Jesus as a Spirit who is Lord of ALL. Not as a man because Jesus is our Spirit God come in the flesh. He gave us a new name for Himself.
"Wherefore henceforth know we 👉no man after the flesh👈: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more." -2 Corinthians 5:16
What is the name of our Holy Spirit God?
What is the name of the Spirit that you received?
    Who is in You?
Tell me the name of the Holy Spirit that you received and you will of confessed Jesus is Lord because Jesus is our invisible Spirit Father who manifested in the flesh to save us. He is greater than a man! Jesus the Son is a Spirit the very Spirit that you received! You need to see the invisible Father in the body of Christ as the Son! He is both Father and Son of whom are all things!
“But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” -1 Corinthians 8:6
“Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” -1 Timothy 1:17
What is the name of the Spirit that you received?

Your whole argument falls at the fact that you are viewing your god in terms of time and space. You argue "How can we say God is a god of love when at one time He existed without anyone to love?" This question that you pose alone shows that you are using a time and space paradigm for your god. You do not understand what being Omnipresent means, because if you did, you would realise that the Creator transcends time and space. If you still haven't understood my point by now, let me help you: If the Creator transcends time, this means that what we supposedly view as something that He is doing at this moment now is actually something that He has always done for all eternity and is always actively doing. So if He says He loves you today, this means He is always loving you for all eternity, and actively so. The same applies to His Son.

Just as we have children out of our lounges that are a part of us, whom have their own right to love us back or not. No matter how we provide, or how much of us they are they have a choice. The trinity doesn't exist and it wasn't taught by anyone in scripture so can we just stop

The pagan religions had what we call trinities however on closer examination they are not the same in concept or substance. In the same way we would not agree with all the other religions that have a strict monotheistic view of God to be embraced as the same God of the Bible. (Islam, Bahai) The pagan concept was encapsulated with a Father, Mother, giving birth to a Son. They were three major Gods with many minor god's as well. Their trinity was comprised of three Gods not one. The Greek triad of Zeus, Athena, and Apollo, the Hindu triad of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva the Egyptian triad of Isis, Horus, and Sub bear no resemblance to the Biblical Trinity. They were all separate not united as the one God and almost unanimously had a mother involved as in a heavenly family. This was really tritheism, which has more in common with Mormonism than a triune God. Anti Trinitarians make usage of the statues with three heads and saying that is our pagan God. If one is going to discount the Trinity because of some similarities in name only and not in substance. Then maybe they should be looking at their own pagan similarities. One can still be in idolatry, if their one God is not the God of the Bible.
"In order to find out if the doctrine of the Trinity is true, we do not look to see if it resembles paganism, but to the bible, to see if God teaches it in his word. Pagans also believe in the concept of God. does this mean that God must not be true? Pagans sleep. Does that mean sleeping is wrong ? We must not dismiss an idea merely because it is held in common with those whom we may not approve." (the New Cults p.49) Lets not try to find all kinds of perversions from the outside that have nothing to do with the Biblical record, lets go to the Scripture to prove our major points.
      Think.
      Jesus claimed to be God.
Jesus said your sins would not be forgiven if you did not believe He was God.
John 8:19 So they were saying to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.”
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

    • @fayelewis5476
      @fayelewis5476 5 років тому +2

@@carbon273 The alternative is to worship your Creator.
The true and living God was never once a man. He is an uncreated being. The true and living God has always existed. He is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. He lives outside of time, space and matter because He created time, space and matter. He is self-existent. He has no mother or father, does not need air, food, water, sex, sleep, shelter, clothing, etc.. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable, transcendent, infinitely holy, eternal and so much more. The highest heavens cannot contain Him. The true and living God created Adam out of the dust of the ground. No wife needed. No pre existence.
Unfortunately, our sins separate us from God, as a holy God cannot look upon sin. We are under the just wrath of God and the death sentence. The wages of our sin is death. Ten out of ten people die. No one deserves to go to heaven and worse still there is nothing we can do to merit everlasting life.
The good news, the gospel, is that God himself became a man, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus Christ humbled himself, shed his blood, died and rose again. He paid the penalty for our sin in full when he died on the cross. All you need to do is humble yourself, repent of your sin and put your faith in Jesus Christ. The moment you do that God will grant you the gift of everlasting life.
Imagine standing before a judge guilty of serious crimes, when someone you don't even know steps in and pays your fine. The judge has got to let you go. In the same way, Jesus is our substitute. He paid our debt so we could walk out of God's court room free.

I like what you are doing, thought I have a perspective I'd like for you to consider and if I'm wrong please correct me. So my interpretation has led me to believe that Jesus himself is the Trinity incarnate. Why? Great question just follow my understanding. So God is the Father, Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, and the Word, which the Word is the Son(John 1:1). The Word became flesh (John 1:14) who is also called Jesus. Jesus stated "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9). Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost (Luke 4:1). So sounds like the flesh of Christ is Father, Holy Ghost, and the Word incarnate not just the Word, but the Trinity. So Jesus is not only the Word - I believe.

This is a heretical view. Jesus is not the Father incarnate.
The Father spoke from heaven to Jesus at his Baptism.
And the holy Spirit descended and remained on him.
The Spirit and the Father were seperate from Jesus who was already the incarnate word of God.
Jesus said that he must ascend to his father who was at a greater position (on the throne) than he (who had emptied himself to be a slave)
And that he was to return *to* the right hand of the Father.
So where is the Father? In Heaven
Where is Jesus (at this verse)? On the earth talking to the disciples.
Where is the Spirit? In Jesus
And what does Jesus the say about the Spirit?
If I go *I* will send you the Spirit.
The Father and the Son (from heaven)
Send the Spirit *to* the earth for the disciples. Once Jesus ascension back to the throne of God. Where he reigns over the earth now.
      May this truth bless you.

@@gavin_hill Thanks for sharing. We have a differing perspective of God's spacial dwelling. I believe that God is everywhere and that the Father can be in heaven and on earth at once, though he spoke from heaven in that instance. How is the Holy Spirit seperate from Jesus if Jesus was full of the Holy Ghost? How is the Father seperate from Jesus if Jesus said "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father"? Jesus is more than just the Word incarnate, but the Trinity according to my understanding.

Do you agree that God is one being?
Do you agree that he has revealed himself in three distinct coequal coeternal persons?
Do you agree that anyone of these persons can be present in any way they choose at any time (manifestation) ?

In addition to this, no one in all of Bible history is found worshiping a triune God - ever
Which would include, though not limited-to, Jesus Himself.
And finally, there is not a single mention of a triune God anywhere in the Bible - ever
Case and point, the trinity is nothing but a conspiracy theory devised by the devil to lead people away from there victory in Christ.

      Everything is Trinity........
You living on a Planet called Earth which has a trinity consisting of Sky, Land and Sea.
      The Sky is Planet Earth
      The Land is Planet Earth
      The Sea is Planet Earth
      God is the same way.

The Trinity wasn't formulated till the third century. The word Trinity in not in the Bible. Jesus is God and the names Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are just titles describing one person. For example, I am a father, son and a teacher but my name is Jim. The Trinity is fictional and will never make sense. God does not have three personalities but is simply one God and his name is Jesus. The Trinity is and will always be confusing.

'trinitarians' focus more on God's POWER than His LOVE. How so? because, like the genie in 'arabian nights' "He can do anything! he can turn Himself into a 'God' a 'Son' a 'Holy Spirit' e.t.c. Thus the bible account of the nativity, ministry of Jesus. Jesus death & resurrection is all a charade! Its "All the triune God being all three..." This it not only untrue but completely DENIES the supremem LOVE of God the Father in gving up & sacrificing his 'only begotten' Son' for our sins! It was the result of attempting to explain the unexplainable by self minded 'church fathers' combining Greek philosophy with pagansm & their own ideas. Pity it became 'orthodox'! The 'trinity' is FALSE!

There is no scripture in the bible that says there 3 equal persons. No where in the bible says there is a trinity. How can God be the almighty God if he had to get help by 2 other equal persons? That would make him a weak God. In order to have that title you must be the almighty with no help. Many scriptures say only 1 God or 1 Lord. Never ever in the bible says there 3 equal persons or 3 dietys. We must believe what is written in the holy scriptures. There is only 1. God functions are above what we can see and believe. The bible says that God is a jealous God. Why would he make other persons as you claim if hes a jealous God? Even God claims that there is no other besides him. There is only 1 and his name is Jesus Christ who works in 3 titles, the father, the son and the holy ghost. There all Jesus. Isaiah 9:6 says that he should be called the everlasting Father. John 14:26 the comforter (holy ghost) which would be sent in my name (Jesus talking). The holy ghost name is Jesus. And then we all know who the son is Jesus Christ. So these scriptures cover who all these 3 are my friend. Dont get mixed up with your theology and your very eloquent words. Read the bible for what it means and says. Dont try to go around it its right before your eyes.

@@kevkev1078 he never will stop being the Father my friend. He was the Father now and will always be the Father but when Jesus came into play thats when he became the flesh and God at the same time. The bible says in John 1:14 that the Word who is God, was made flesh. See Jesus never denied being God, or the Father as a mattet of fact Jesus said in John 10:30 that i and my Father are 1. If they were 2 separate at that time wouldnt Jesus have said me and my Father are 2. Didnt they ask Jesus let us SEE the Father and Jesus said havent you been long with me. Jesus never denied being the Father he would always say they are 1. If we put 3 persons or 3 deitys wouldn't that make God not Almighty? In order to be Almighty you must have all power, all dominion and all Glory. God will never share his glory, so if God will never share his glory than wouldn't of God never made Jesus or the holy ghost? If the bible says that God is a jealous God than him making Jesus and the holy ghost separate persons, wouldn't that make God angry with himself? Isaiah 45:5 God said it himself, there is NO GOD BESIDE ME. There is only one my friend and his name is Jesus Christ.

My understanding of the trinity completely changed when I learned that the word "Spirt"/"Spirit of God" is actually a feminine noun in Hebrew...through being translated to greek and then latin it was translated into a masculine noun - hence why we refer to the Holy Spirit as a masculine presence....but if in the old testament and through Jesus' words the Holy Spirit is a female presence/noun then we have God, The Father...Jesus, the son....Ans the Holy Spirit....the woman...or logically..a Mother.....Jesus was born by His Father and of the Holy Spirit....why would God confuse us by trying to comprehend this outside of a mother and father? The trinity is a FAMILY. 3 seperate parts, yet ONE cohesive unit. It is so beautiful and profound....and i am not making any of this up have a look for yourself the Hebrew word is Ruach Hakodesh....once i learned this reading Revelation 12 was mind blowing.

The Trinity is not biblical.... There is no Trinity. To say a statement that God is three distinct beings needs to be in the scripture. You can't just say tha statement and expect someone to believe that. It's has to be written.
