Thanks for making the video! It is good to know this. I was able to follow except for the part where you put in the ip address. Why did you put the 0 at the end of it and do I have to put a 0 at the end of mine? Still concerned about opening DSM after I do this because it always opens up a new tab in my internet browser when I try to connect to it. Thank you!

you can have your own IP address. Just make sure you change the last number so its different for every device in the network.

Simply, they click on the icon menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Choose the shut-down option on the menu. The entire process should take a few minutes to complete.

Yes, you can always access it locally. Connecting from outsde world require Quicconnect or Tailscale etc.

Yes, absolutely. Noone from outside the home can access the NAS.
