Thanks! This is so much fun! You make it easy. I'm a working jazz vocalist. I'm learning to play bass. Learning to sing while I playing. I've always been around many instruments and instrumentalists. Played a little piano, flute, guitar and bass over the years. For thirty five years my late husband played and studied every night and I was the sounding board for the nightly music theory revelations( sometimes with glazed over eyes). My father in law was a jazz player and instructor. So I feel as if I'm remembering, not learning. I have no pressure to learn; I have a bass player...Blue jazz performs jazz, blues and soul.
I'm learning bass for a duet I'm also in with an experienced jazz guitar player. My full band bass player assigned me to learn the bass line for this song; we kill it already so it's very familiar. So, I'm learning it here and then he will help me tweek it! So thanks!

Hey thank you for the free book. I lost track of time when I started reading it then I noticed it was 3 in the morning, thank God I'm retired, do you have anything on Brook Benton's Rainy Night In Georgia? Between him and Randy Crawford it takes me to my time stationed in Ga back in the 70's.

Nice instructional video, but the the backing track was too loud compared to your bass playing.....
