Larry Graham. The originator of the thumping/pluck. Thanks for your tutorial. Although I always thought this was a simple groove. The bass gave that whole song a steady beat. One of my favorite Sly/Family songs.

This is perfect, I than you.... :-) I had a doubt about the slide ( or hammer on 2 slaps - 1 hammer on D E and then slap the E string)..It works, but the slide

Tone is in the hands! With a jazz bass, have both pickups on, tone control all the way up. No drive.
