@@jellycaalvaran2285 Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, ultrasound is not an exact science. Every day is gets better and better but there is still a chance that the measurements are off. That being said, your due date could also be off. Babies heads can be larger than the rest of the baby's body. Humans are not symmetrical so that is quite normal. I would ask your doctor when you can start to use natural methods to help soften your cervix in preparation for birth. There is some evidence that babies with larger heads pose challenges to a vaginal delivery. However, a cervix that is soft and ripe for delivery may help mediate that issue. You CANNOT start using homeopathic remedies until at least 37 weeks and then only under the care of your provider. There is a lot of neurological development that takes place between 37 and 39 weeks so its important for your provider to help guide and recommend what to use and the frequency of use. Some methods include: red raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, bouncing on an exercise ball, prenatal breast pumping, walking, and sex. Again, do not do this without your provider's ok first. However, once they give the approval this may help.
@@jellycaalvaran2285 I am not an expert on reading ultrasounds and you should always refer to your provider for medical advice. Your measurements look good. Babies heads are supposed to be bigger than their bodies. Those measurements are both consistent for that gestational age at approximately the 75-80 percentile.

Hello! Thank you so much for this info! I did have a question about the use of Clarithromycin 500mg 2x/day for 5 days. My wife took it at 26 weeks and was wondering what your thoughts were. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for asking. There is limited safety data on Clarithromycin so it is recommended to use a different antibiotic first. However, most organ development has occurred by 26 weeks and therefore the risk of birth defects decreases significantly when taking a medication during this time. Good luck.

Thanks for asking! Herbal supplements are usually not recommended during pregnancy because they are not FDA regulated. Specifically grapeseed oil extract is not recommended because it can reduce iron absorption causing anemia which is bad for pregnancy. Grapeseed oil extract can also reduce your estrogen levels which can affect placental functioning. Therefore, grapeseed oil extract should not be taken during pregnancy.

Thanks for asking! Amoxicillin is safe for use during early pregnancy. However, you want to make sure you have a bacterial infection like strep throat before taking it. Amoxicillin will not treat a viral infection and therefore would be useless in treating your symptoms. I also have headache. The next day (Monday) I went to Urgent Care, coz I was really awful and told them about my concern and symptoms. They did blood work and pee test, I took tylenol coz my fever was getting high while waiting. They said I have UTI. I was only admitted for 6 hrs, they gave me an IV so I wouldnt get dehydrated coz I couldnt keep down food and had vomitted. They gave me antibiotic and Gravol which is an anti nausea. They ran them through the IV as well. The next day, I felt like my headache was coming back and started to feel unwell again, I already started coughing too. I did the antigen covid test and I got positive for covid. I was thinking that the diagnosis was wrong in the first place if they could have just tested me for covid as well. My family doctor reviewed my lab result from urgent care and found that I dont really have a UTI and that my symptoms could be from Covid. i'm 6 weeks pregnant. i had an incident that caused my leg to get 3 stitches. i was prescribed with 500mg amoxicillin 3 times a day for week, but in day 8 doctor had to add another stripe amoxicillin because my stitches got swollen and redness. is it safe to take amoxillin more than a week?
Thanks for asking! Yes - it is safe to take Amoxicillin for longer and it's very important you do. If that infection gets worse and into your blood, it can be very dangerous for your baby. Keep a close eye on the cut. If it gets worse, go back. you may need a different antibiotic. Also, make sure you take all the medication as prescribed, even when it starts to look better. If you don't, the infection can come back worse. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.
Thanks for asking! Fluimucil is a medication used to thin mucus in the lungs. This medication is considered safe for use if the benefits outweigh the risks. It is not an antibiotic which means you should be able to take it as needed. I would discuss the use of this medication with your healthcare provider and determine the risks/benefits of taking it. If it is helping you breathe better, that is very important for your baby. If it is just for symptom relief, it may be best to limit its use. Feel better!
Fansidar can be used when the benefits outweigh risks however there are other medications that are safer for use during pregnancy. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.

I have a uti and was giving ciprofloxacin at the time of taking it I was 2DPO currently 6DPO will this hurt my chances of conceiving this cycle 500mg 2x day for 10 days
Thanks for asking! It's important to treat UTI's because they can cause preterm labor and miscarriage. It can also cause infertility. So treating should be better for conceiving. Be sure to take all the medication as prescribed by your healthcare provider or the infection can come back worse. Feel better!

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, I cannot answer that question because enteperem is not a medication I am familiar with. What I will say is that UTIs can cause preterm labor and miscarriage and can lead to sepsis in the mother, so it's important to get them treated. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.
Also wanted to note, I called the pharmacy and got the okay to open the capsule and add it to a small cup of unsweetened 100% cranberry juice. (The pills are way too large for me to be able to swallow since I have GERD). So I will be taking the medication in a small cup of liquid.
Thanks for asking! Duricef is safe for use during pregnancy when the benefits outweigh the risks. It's important to treat infections because they can cause preterm labor and miscarriage. Be sure to take all the medication as prescribed by your healthcare provider or the infection can come back worse. Feel better!
I had a very bad sinus infection and first I was prescribed with amoxicillin for 5 days 3 times a day but it didn't work so they told me to take Azithromycin for 5 days (one dose 500 mg and the other dose 250 mg) I'm very scared that could have hurt the baby; I'm 6 weeks pregnant.

Do you have any other questions about the safety of medications during your pregnancy?
Hi, im currently 33weeks,6days via LMP, is it fine that during my ultrasound my baby head circumference is 2 weeks late by the size? Im worried.
Thank u so much for ur response. Appreciate it much. My doctor said nothing to worry. But im just confuse, because my LMP does not match
These were my latest results, HC-28.19cm, AC 27.36cm, FL 6.17cm, BPD 8.21cm GA via lmp, 32w4d, GA via AUA 31w6d
Thank you so much...

Good luck.

Is grapefruit seed oil extract safe during first trimester?
Thanks for asking! Herbal supplements are usually not recommended during pregnancy because they are not FDA regulated. Specifically grapeseed oil extract is not recommended because it can reduce iron absorption causing anemia which is bad for pregnancy. Grapeseed oil extract can also reduce your estrogen levels which can affect placental functioning. Therefore, grapeseed oil extract should not be taken during pregnancy.

Hi I’m 10week pregnant I’m taking amoxicillin 500mg three time a day for 7 day to treat my tooth infection is safe?
Thanks for asking! Amoxicillin is safe for pregnancy! Furthermore, I am glad you are getting your tooth infection treated. Teeth infections can lead to miscarriage and preterm birth which is why it is so important to get them treated. Continue to take the antibiotic as prescribed, even after you start to feel better. If you stop the medication too early, your infection will come back and be harder to treat.

Hello I hope you can answer me, I’m having a really bad sore throat is it safe to take amoxicillin? I’m almost 5 weeks pregnant. Thank you.
Thanks for asking! Amoxicillin is safe for use during early pregnancy. However, you want to make sure you have a bacterial infection like strep throat before taking it. Amoxicillin will not treat a viral infection and therefore would be useless in treating your symptoms. Instead, you might be better for a viral infection to use salt water gargles, honey, lemon, and cough drops. Be sure to take all the medication if it is a bacterial because the infection can come back worse if you don't. Strep throat can be very serious and lead to a heart infection so be sure to take the medication if that's what you have. Good luck and feel better!

Hi! I’m 20 weeks pregnant and was prescribed azithromycin for bacterial vaginosis. It’s 2 500 mg tablets but I was told to take it all at once so 1000 mg. I’m freaking out and do not know what to do. I have had three people tell me it’s safe to take, but I lost a baby before this pregnancy and so I’m so worried about taking it. Wanted to get your input if possible.
I see a lot of people saying they took 500mg, but I was told to take both tablets at once, so that’s why I’m so worried. I’m not sure if I should just do the 500 once and then the 500 again the same day or all together.

@@TheMaternityMentor i reported it to my fam doctor and they said i can stop using it, taking it for 3-5 days is already fine.
Here’s my situation. Last Sunday night I was feeling unwell, i started to have fever and started to have body pain and lower back pain. I had been puking 5 times that night even I took the anti nausea medication.
I was advised that I can stop the antibiotic then coz i told about the vaginal itching. I know you were saying that it needs to be completed or it will come back worse but how can i finish it if it wasnt really about UTI?

i'm 6 weeks pregnant. i had an incident that caused my leg to get 3 stitches. i was prescribed with 500mg amoxicillin 3 times a day for week, but in day 8 doctor had to add another stripe amoxicillin because my stitches got swollen and redness. is it safe to take amoxillin more than a week?
Thanks for asking! Yes - it is safe to take Amoxicillin for longer and it's very important you do. If that infection gets worse and into your blood, it can be very dangerous for your baby. Keep a close eye on the cut. If it gets worse, go back. you may need a different antibiotic. Also, make sure you take all the medication as prescribed, even when it starts to look better. If you don't, the infection can come back worse. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.
I take fluimucil for my cough is it safe for pregnant?
Thanks for asking! Fluimucil is a medication used to thin mucus in the lungs. This medication is considered safe for use if the benefits outweigh the risks. It is not an antibiotic which means you should be able to take it as needed. I would discuss the use of this medication with your healthcare provider and determine the risks/benefits of taking it. If it is helping you breathe better, that is very important for your baby. If it is just for symptom relief, it may be best to limit its use. Feel better!
