    ITube22100 - I used fire polished beads for the turquoise necklace. A fraction of the cost of Swarovski crystals! I did make one with Swarovski crystals but if you use the bicones it's less expensive.

    Hi Toni. The netting should remain the length you made it when adding the beads. If you are making a 16 inch piece of netting the beads won't change the length. If you do need more length you can add it by playing with the clasp portion. Maybe add some beads if necessary when adding the toggle. Try placing the netted piece around your neck and if the ends are close you will be fine.
    Thanks for the kind words - I'm so happy you like my designs!!! If you have any other questions I'm always around : )

    Although the turquoise is nice, I feel the all bronze version is STUNNING and ELEGANT! I imagine it is far more difficult just because of the similarity in color making it all seem blended while making it but it would go with more outfits and could be used dressed up or down (in my opinion). I love how you make each item so easy to understand and show options to get ideas from. You are simply wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

    S O'Starra - welcome to my channel and thank you for the kind comment! The cost of the firepolish crystals I used was about $10.00 retail. The seed beads, maybe a dollar or two. Your Jade beads will be more expensive as they are real stones rather than crystals. The necklace takes a couple of days to construct. Do the netting one day ( few hours) and add the stones another (fun part ).
    So give the whole necklace a few days depending on how much time you have in a day. Take your time with the netting as it is easy to skip a bead or add too many! Very repetitive but worth it in the end. The "V" shaped netting is possible but I would have to design it and make a tutorial for it. I will do that but it will take a few days. You can try making it yourself by using bead graph paper. Fusion beads has free printable graph paper for designing on their website. I have had other requests for a V netting and it on the list of requests to get to! Since I haven't had a chance to make it yet I will make every effort to do the V netting ASAP! Have fun and I am always around for help and encouragement : )

    Ok I am a new subscriber... I love your tutorials. The way you do them is so nice and easy. And since my moms b-day is coming in two months I really want to make something pretty for her I am planting on using 3mm jade beads with 11/0 black and 11/0 bronze seed beads for the necklace. So now I have a few questions for you. 1. How much did everything cost. 2. is it possible to make a netting necklace like this where it comes into a V at the center in the front.? 3. How long did it take you to make this type of necklace.

    I love this necklace and have been beading for a while, but when I tried the netting for this, it was TOO curved - to the point it would not lay flat. It must be that my tension is off and I think I do tend to work tightly. I sure would appreciate your thoughts on what I'm doing wrong.

    I made both the Moon Rocks Bracelet & necklace in the bronze because I didn't have anything in bronze. Though it was pretty it wasn't me. So I took them both apart which was time consuming but didn't want to waste the beads. I remade them both this week with Turquoise AB Firepolish. Very stunning & exactly my style. I think I am now an expert in 5 bead netting & I think it was quite easy to make & you describe everything very well in your video. Thank you for your videos. I love them both. Any ideas on earrings to go with them? Love your channel & projects.

      Loredana Porav I am not sure how a larger bead as the crossover bead will change the look of the necklace. Probably would be fine but I would try it before I make the whole piece. Make a 2 inch piece of netting with the 8/0 beads and put some crystals on it. if it looks goo then go for it!

    Hi Stephanie: I have been looking for "box type clasp" for the Moon Rocks necklace. I think the width should be approximately 12mm (2""). Your's on the video looks really nice & can you tell me where you got it from? I have looked on artbeads.com & Firemountain websites & the maximum width they have is about 10.5mm. Thank you.

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry

      +Sheela Nijagal Hi Sheela, I looked around a bit and couldn't find a larger clasp in that design. Give Fusion Beads a try for a clasp. I haven't seen the filagree clasp in a larger size so you may have to find another design for a 12mm size. I purchased the original filagree clasp from Firemountain Gems. Good luck and if I find something I will post it :)

    I love this pattern and have made 2 necklaces. However I’m having a problem with how the necklace lays. The top (closest to the neckline) is fine. But the outer edge does not lay flat. It’s kind of frilly. What am I doing wrong? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you Diane. Your necklace should lay flat without ruffling. Message a picture to me on Bronzepony Facebook page and I’ll take a look. Try to get a clear close up of part of the edge and a pic of the entire necklace laying on a flat surface. I’ll look at it and get back to you with comments, suggestions and any questions.

    Hi Stephanie:
    I just purchased bunch of Czeh Druk beads from artbeads.com. They are really nice, except some (burgandy colored ones) has little peelings near the holes. From your experience, is this ok? Should I be concerned that the color from beads will peel off eventually? How do we find out the quality of beads? Since you are a professional & work with many different kind of beads, I thought of asking you. Thank you, Sheela

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  8 років тому

      Hi Sheela🌻 As far as I understand Czech Druk beads are made with solid color saturated glass. However, finished that are applied on top of the beads as in your beads (burgundy luster?) could peel off. I think this is always a concern when purchasing coated beads. If you see it peeling and haven't used them, you might consider returning them.

      Hi Sheela💐 The Crystal Bling bracelet uses 4 mm bicones and looks lovely! Take a look at that one and the Crystal Bling Necklace tutorial. Both use 4mm bicones. I think 4mm looks better than 3mm. So a big "yes" bicones are so per for this necklace💖

    I don't know how to address since I do not know your name. However, I just watched your video on "Adding thread to the netted project" & it's very helpful. What about the hanging loose NEW thread. This might be a silly question, but do you just cut them off since it is already woven into the net in the beginning. Just curios... especially if the thread is too short to needle & weave through again. You did mention some thing about this new thread, but I didn't quite understand.

    Hi Melonie, love this necklace! I am almost done putting the crystals on and put it around my neck and noticed it is curling like a wave instead of laying flat around the neck. What did I do wrong? I used 8lb thread because of the crystals, is that to thick?...necklace curls up like a snake when on the beadboard. Not sure what I did here....anyone else have this problem? Thank you!

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  8 років тому +1

      +Jean Loehrke Hi jean ;) The curling should not be happening! It should lay flat and actually be sort of flexible. So most curling happens when the threads or beads are pulled too tight. Could that be the problem? Can you send me a picture to BronzeponyBeadedJewelry@gmail.com so I can take a look? I think it all might have to do with putting on the beads and pulling too tight but I won't know for sure until I see it. Don't worry we'll figure it out :)

    how many 4 mm do i need?

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  9 років тому +2

      Depends on how long your necklace is. I would suggest you get 300-400 4mm firepolish (cheaper)or bicones (more expensive) to be sure you have enough. All amounts are written in the description box below the video so you can check that anytime : ) have fun!

    Hi Steph! I'm a huge fan of your designs. This one I like very much. I was successful with the moon rocks bracelet, and Just done doing the necklace. But the necklace is so curvy that it created waves. It looks like a sparkly lace around the neck. 😢 I'm so frustrated. I hope you can help me figure out how to fix this. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon

      Hi frances🌻 Thank you so much for your kind comment😄 The necklace should lay flat so maybe it's a tension issue. What size crystals are you using to fill your netting? And are you using a 15/0 seed bead with your crystals? You can email me a pic to BronzeponyBeadedJewelry@gmail.com and l'll take a look! Don't worry we'll figure it out😃

    Hi Steph, i like francesrestauro am having problems with my necklace which took me forever to make lol, now Im so disappointed because its all wavy havent s clue what to do any suggestions would be great I have also left a message on your facebook page in case you dont see this one for a while I dont know how to get a pic from my phone on to facebook because Im stupid, sorry. Joan

    • @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry
      @BronzeponyBeadedJewelry  8 років тому

      Hi Joan! I'm sorry your necklace is turning out wonky!!! Francesrestauro sent me a picture and it was the beads she used that caused her necklace to become wavy and not lay straight. Moon rocks should lay flat and be very supple. The beads I used help make that happen. Tension can also affect how a netted necklace lays. I'm going to give you instructions on how to sed a picture from your phone. Go to my Facebook page where you left a comment and there is a camera icon nest to the box where you add a comment. Click or touch the icon and select the picture from your files. Click or touch the picture and it should appear in the comment box. I hope this works! Don't worry we will fix your necklace Joan :)

    FYI..I thought the following email (reply from Artbeads) will help others as well. This is reference to my previous question to you regarding peeling of Druk beads.
    Thank you for your email. With the Druk beads that have pearl coating they will have small flakes around the holes, which is natural due to the way they are drilled and then coated. However they should not flake any more than that and are generally pretty durable. If you find that they are flaking more than just around the hole we would be happy to take them back for a full refund. If you have any currently in your possession with more flaking then please let us know and we will work with you to reach a resolution.

      Thank you for contacting Artbeads about this Sheela! Its good to know that the beads will most likely keep their coating!

      there are these new round and dagger etched beads. They have the look of natural stones. I think they would fit perfectly with the design. At least just to scatter a few of them among other beads.
