    Explanation for the first one:
    By combining baking soda and vinegar a reaction is caused that produces carbon dioxide, a gas with a density higher than air. This means it is heavier than air. Therefore it just sits in the glass above the mixture. Fire needs oxygen in order to burn so by pouring carbon dioxide over the flame it extinguishes it. You can actually pour the carbon dioxide into another jar then pour that over the candle and it will still go out. It's a fun and quick experiment that is easy to do if you feel like it. The smoke is a nice visual, but not necessary for the experiment to work. Still very fun to watch all the same.

    Umm, is it ok to pour caustic soda with dissolved aluminum in it down a drain without neutralizing it first?

    • @idkyet1720
      @idkyet1720 5 років тому

      Ok don’t freak out but. Have you ever heard of grey water,
      It’s when the water gets filtered but the thing is it only filters using chemicals and stuff.
      And if you don’t neutralize that stuff it won’t filter properly and it will be put back into you sink water toilet water and shower.
      So if you had any contact with you sink shower or toilet you really need to get into contact with a hospital and call some sort of poison control
      I say poison control because I don’t know what it’s called where you live. Basically what I’m saying is get to a hospital plz.
