EDIT 7/23/17 Okay guys, dunno if all of y'all are aware, but the song had no correlation to Steven Universe, this is from a play called Ever After. I don't mean to confuse any of you all sorry about that.
First things first I gotta give out HUGE thanks to everyone who helped me on this! This is in no specific order

This is kinda my little theory on how Pink died. This was made just for fun, I don't expect this to happen.
It's not very well explained either imo, but here's basically what I thought up. It was kinda just for fun, I do not expect for this to actually happen.
WD created Pink and assigned her to Earth. Pink grows attached to the Earth and doesn't want to turn it into a geoweapon. But she still kind of wants to follow in WD's footsteps (mother figure stuff). Since PD is the baby of the Diamond Fam, WD is kinda unsure on PD's views. But slowly WD starts pushing the geoweapon topic to the top and prioritizing it more and more over time. At the same time the rebellion is going on and they are targeting WD cause they know what she's doing. And when WD comes to visit PD to see how things are going, there is an ambush by a rebel fusion consisting of Rose Quartz, Pearl, Cotton Candy Mom, Biggs Japser, Crazy Lace Agate and Snowflake Obsidian. WD is fighting off the fusion and insists that PD stands to the side. WD was struggling and PD came to the rescue with her Fire powers. WD was telling her to go back to her Palenquin but while her back was turned the fusion got up and was going to sneak in an attack. PD noticed though, and sacrificed herself by pushing WD out of the way. Thus her getting stabbed in the front in her gem. Causing her to shatter. That was 100% NOT what the Rebels wanted, so the shock and stur of emotions caused them to unfuse and they all fled the scene unable to comprehend what they had just done. Leaving WD with PD's shards.
Then, since this wasn't Rose's intentions for the rebellion, she takes it upon herself to take blame for what happened to PD.

Some backstory to this video:
I heard that Christine Ebersole was teased as White Diamond's actress, so I decided to check it out and see what she sounds like and oh boy was I not disappointed. She is amazing.
But anyway, haha, I was listening to her singing After All from the play Ever After and I was constructing a music video in my head. I scrolled down to the comments and someone named lapissed (great user name btw omg I absolutely love it xD) said "Can anyone please make an animation of White Diamond singing this song about Pink Diamond?"
I was already creating a video in my mind so I was already down for that xD, the comment just furthered my motivation for this :).
A lot of other people said they were making some too, and I checked it out. There was actually more than I expected that were done and they were all pretty nice, good job guys! I look forward to seeing the ones from everyone else who said it too. I also hope you guys see mine as well :-)
I really hope you guys enjoyed this and thank you for reading the desc! I still got a few real nice SU animation ideas so stay tuned for that!
But uh.. might take a small break from big videos (for my hand's sake hahaha) So the next few videos might be some short things or memes lol. Sorry. (I'm not good at fight scenes either I'm sorry xD I tried)

I really like the idea of pink diamonds shattering maybe rose didn't physically shatter her but used her as a shield or tried to protect someone else such as white diamond and was shattered in a different way witnesses describe rose shattering pink diamond.
But thus is a theory so it might not be true.

(bruh it'd be total radical if my general idea was true. the whole protection bit I mean. i don't have high hopes for it though, I kinda came up with it for fun and tease more theory ideas)

What if white diamond came to earth to confront rose to let pink diamond go (because rose poofed her) and the two tried to make agreements but then disagreements came along and rose and white diamond fought and rose used pink diamond's gem as a shield in hesitation to reflect white diamond's attack causing pink diamond to be shattered. Just a theory though.
Based on the mural I believe it was a hostage situation that went extremely left field. First theory, Rose used Pink Diamond as a shield when WD was about to strike a killing blow, and Pink was shattered. Second theory, Rose was negotiating Pink's release when WD knowingly shattered Pink to prove that she wasn't willing to negotiate with rebels. I don't want Rose to be completely innocent in Pink's death; Rose (and Pearl) being involved add to their characters for me.

This song is great and emotional! But that line in the end where White says how would Steven(who she probably thinks is Rose) know that bond(between mother and child) takes a much more sadder meaning when one realizes that Steven and Rose never met each other and Steven never gotten to have a great relationship with Rose like the Crystal Gems and Greg, so White is actually right but not in the way she probably thought. I'm not sure if that was your intention but if so then kudos to you!

The best thing is how at 3:02 you can see snowflake (the gem on the right with a snowflake on her knee) and old garnet's look.
I'd love this scenario to be true because: it'd be awesome if the Crystal Gems to like (or even love) pink diamond, but hate white,
and also if there only was a scene like at the end, with Steven face to face with White Diamond.
This was just really thought out scenario and a fitting song.
And i almost forgot, the talking animation was so smooth!

I can imagine that Rose took responsibility for the shattering instead of putting the majority of her army in danger, which would explain why people like Eyeball,Blue D,Garnet,and Pearl act their respective ways when the topic is brought up

Kamil Aliev If that's your opinion, cool! Steven and Pearl's relationship is really cute! I personally like Steven and Garnet's best though.
Pearl seems more like the over protective sister or mother, Amethyst being the laid back sister and Garnet being the best motherly figure for Steven. Pearl wants the well-being for Steven and takes far too many precautions, but Garnet encourages him to be himself. When he and Connie are fused and show the CG, Garnet does the opposite of Pearl’s approach and encourages them to make the most of the fusion.

I have to say, the first part of the animatic is pretty good. It portrays the White Diamond as a motherly and caring figure as well as as happy along with Yellow and Blue Diamond. However, the second part falls short. "Leave or face my wrath!." sounds like something Yellow Diamond would say to the Crystal Gems, but not the other way around, especially to any of the other diamonds. Also, Amethyst is present when she was found after the gem war, and the fusion looks unfitting when it was Rose herself who shattered Pink Diamond. However, the last few seconds were the high point, especially with that last line to Steven.
Xandasu i'm not very good at writing hahaa and I had no idea what to put so I just winged it. Since the fusion has three gems we don't really know I thought the whole personality/views would be a bit dofferent than what we're used to, so theres a chance I could get away with that line as well xD.
Amythest isn't in here, the two gems on the chest of the fusion is Biggs Jasper and Crazy Lace Agate.

Judging by the mural in the Pyramid Temple, I think it's more likely that Rose held Pink Diamond hostage in exchange for Earth's independence, but White Diamond wouldn't negotiate, so she flung a crystal at Rose, but Rose held up Pink Diamond to protect herself, which ended up shattering the latter. It's technically true to say that Rose shattered Pink Diamond, but that's only half of the truth; White Diamond had a role in her daughter's shattering, but she could never bring herself to face her past transgressions, and neither could Rose.

This is awesome, somewhat how I imagined it but instead White Diamond is with Yellow and Blue and begins to sing to help Blue feel better while looking at the mural of Pink and are in her temple and as she sings it's showing what happened that day that Pink was shattered and just like when Yellow was singing, White is singing to Blue and Yellow is just like whatever and when White says the last line she looks at Steven who was trying to escape but White was really singing for Steven the whole time. I believe that White did create the other three diamonds and they are like her children, Blue and Yellow are somewhat twins and Pink is the youngest based on the amount of planets they have. Pink was different she didn't care much for power and her first planet that White gave her "Earth" she cared for and loved, she loved the humans and everything about earth but being the one that is expected to do what the older ones want she couldn't be free like the humans on earth so she told a Rose Quartz about it and told Rose to rebel. Yellow knew about this and didn't like it, she is afraid of change and so she shattered her own sister and made sure Pinks gems wouldn't say a word or else. Because Rose was already a well known and most wanted criminal Yellow blamed it on her and she encouraged Blue and White to kill off the planet and just forget about it all, this would give Yellow more power "the cluster" and make everyone forget about Pink and her silly ideas

I remember when I first saw this animatic, if was almost 3 years ago. From the first second I got so hyped up and excited I jumped on my chair. I loved it back then and still do)

I absolutely love how you told this story, and you're theory is interesting. I notice how White Diamond looked nervous at how much Pink Diamond looks like her compared to Blue or Yellow Diamond. You also demonstrated the relationship between white and pink so well. How White Diamond wanted to protect Pink, and you used the dream line to explain how the rebellion has a dream that might not work. You also showed why White Diamond would cover up why this happened, she blamed herself for it. You could see her anger towards Steven towards the end. The only thing I would critique is her attendants should have been their, like said in the trial. Everything else is marvelous, you did an amazing job with this theory and anamtic.

Man I remember watching this when it was only a few days old, and years later it’s still amazing! You made something that has stuck with me for so long and inspired me to further pursue animation. I love everything about this, even if the series might’ve turned out otherwise! :D

I believe the sword is now lethal considering it's a fusion, and another gem in the fusion could've had a sword able to shatter a gem.
They were trying to poof white diamond not kill her. That is why the fusion aimed for her naval. Pink Diamond stepped in the way but happened to be in the line of fire

I personally find the 'plot' more exciting when you take "save you" as more broad than just saving white from harm. I like the idea of pink trying to achieve social change within homeworld where white is being used as a puppet leader or trapped in some other way.
