this is the second part to my maintenance video. this 1 is about the oil change. this video it not a guide but if you use it as one. its at your own risk. enjoy.
Wow u did a great job bud! i never thought changing oil on a bike could be easy and fun.. im going for my bike license this spring and keep making vids like this bud!
nice video.. after watchin this ill def be doing one soon. i did learn a neat trick about changing the oil in my old diesel f350, since the filter on that truck is so huge, alot of guys use a phillips screwdriver and punch a hole in the bottom of the filter to let the oil neatly drain out first, and to make it easier to lift. i imagine that might help make this job neater, given the fliter is sideways. you can punch a hole on the side near the bottom first, to keep it from spilling out.
This video it's amazing ... This video helped a lot usually I buy the parts and I also use motul oil and k&n filter ... I haven't seen the rest of your videos but I hope you also have videos on how to change brake pads , bleed brake lines adjust clutch .. We got the same bike So this is just perfect !!!!
BelRay oil is the way to go in my opinion. I changed my oil after riding 100 miles. The oil gets warm, but it won't burn you like other brands. Also BelRay will allow your bike to run about 5 - 10 degrees cooler, which means more HP!
@sando702 I asked a veteran mechanic at the shop I buy my parts at. Cuz it depends on the weather, how hard you ride and how hot the bike gets. Just do research and don't be afraid to ask someone. Safe riding.
@playinguitar11 the oil just drained from the oil filter. thats normal. when you started the engine it filled it up again. just dont ride hard until the oil circulates. as for your first question i dont know ask your local bike shop.
I'm thinking if you remove the oil filler cap before you remove the oil drain plug you will relieve the pressure? Thx for the video it was very helpful.
I have a srad 750 2005 for giving, through a hole in the side fairing direitoe using a key chain filter, replace the filter without removing the fairing. The filter leaves and enters the front fairing, its lower part. As for the filter difficult to remove, you can stick it with a screwdriver and rotate, it will change a new one.
You never drag the fairings on concrete, he scratched them up, plus u add oil to the oil filter, and more oil drains out if u don't use the stand on the back wheels. Just have a friend stand on one side.
could you tell me the exact tools needed and about how much the oil, spark plugs and filter cost you?....and do you think you missed anything?....i appreciate the feed back since i have the same year bike as you just a different color...which is obvioius from all my vids....good stuff tho and thanks for posting this, its really helpful
@divyadas4 no cuz i checked the window and it was the same. the oil filter is just hand tight and the oil plug i just snug it tight with the wrench. never leaked on me.
@playinguitar11 you dont fill it up. You change your breaks and it will fill up by it self. Never just put break fluid in the reservour on old breaks. You'll lock your front wheel and flip your bike.
It'll get hot from sitting in traffic on a hot day(look up the fan mod to switch it on manually). could be gunk in the radiator. old coolant. bad thermostat. air in the system, which is bad cause water boils at 212F, since our bikes pressurize to 15psi it raises that to about 250F and about 265F with a 50/50mix coolant. if you have air in the system it cant pressurize. if you cant figure it out take it to a suzuki dealer, dont wear out a good gsxr engine.
@isaidhola I know you have the same bike as mine but I dont know what weather you ride in or how hard you ride. So just, do what I did and ask a mechanic in your area and get what he tells you.
@divyadas4 no man just take off the seat and lift the tank...it in that big black case right at the top. I'm editing the video right now. I'm hoping it will be up tomorrow.
@FasSayShusX when you look in the window it should be half way. If your not seeing oil in your window your to low. So add some more. Thanks for the nice comment.
@xaiver80 your going to spend ruffly $200 on all the parts depending what you get. as far as tools go you can see what tools im using in the video. just use metric not standard. i didn't skip any steps in my video. i wanted to make it as detailed as possible. thanks for subscribing!!
WHAT AN INCREDIBLY HELPFUL VIDEO. THE CAMERA ANGLES THE VOICE OVER, AMAZING GOOD JOB.

You can take the fairings off one side at a time, they come apart easily on the bottom and then you don't have to drag one side under the bike.
awesome video, been looking everywhere for something like this, thanks!

@playinguitar11 try using a oil filter tool that lets you use a socket and wrench.

Hey bro these videos rock. So helpful.
@Gooch586 you can order online throw there website or at there store. Also check at a dealer.
No never has. But over heating can be alot of things. How hard you ride or mechanical. Have you ever changed your antifreeze?
@playinguitar11 you dont fill it up. You change your breaks and it will fill up by it self. Never just put break fluid in the reservour on old breaks. You'll lock your front wheel and flip your bike.

thanks! part 3 spark plug change is being edited right now should be up in a few days. thanks for subscribing.
@tjcaces any synthetic. as far as what kind of weight.... ask the bike shop in your local area cuz it depends on the weather and how hard you ride.
@sergione2323 thanks for watching...glad i could help.
@isaidhola I know you have the same bike as mine but I dont know what weather you ride in or how hard you ride. So just, do what I did and ask a mechanic in your area and get what he tells you.
@CALI2TEXBOY To play it safe I change my oil every 3000 miles. sparkplugs every 6000 miles. I dont mind answering questions I like it...glad to help.
@divyadas4 no man just take off the seat and lift the tank...it in that big black case right at the top. I'm editing the video right now. I'm hoping it will be up tomorrow.
