Hello, my lovely students! I really hope you enjoy this vocabulary lesson - I teach some powerful English words (AND the words that they are often used with - called collocations!) Learning collocations is, by far, the best way to sound natural, relaxed (and correct!) when you use English!

Hello Emma :) Nowadays I am trying to practice my Spanish conversation skill and taking my French to the next level. I am facing the challenges about pronunciaton but ı am overcoming them :) I am b2 by the way. I've just started the second university( open university) on Cultural Heritage and Tourism which will be absolutely useful for my future job. (my aim is to get the certification for travel guide and create my own travel company) So, I am also studying my lessons :)
Well, six years ago when I went to London, ı really had self-doubt about getting used to the culture. Because it was my first travel abroad experience. The first time ı left my safe zone. After a couple of weeks, ı managed this fear with help of my teachers and the new friends who ı had met from all over the world. I started to discover the city, visit the museums, tasted local foods, hanged out in pubs. So to say, I took the opportunity. I focused on improving my English level. İn the end of the first three months, yeah ı made it :) I got used to the culture. Thanks to this experience, ı realized my dream to improve my English in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Having lived there really changed my perspective on life. I realized my potential and saw how much ı can go further if I want. İt taught me how to stand on my own legs even miles away from my own country.
Thanks a lot for the lesson and these powerful words. Have a nice weekend :)

I seized the opportunity for following your English courses because they are very smart, helpful and also stimulant. I would suggest to push forward advanced English skills, not only in commecials, but also in literature, and generally in writings having artistic values. Common beginner lessons are widespread enough on UA-cam: however for advanced English, there is an evident gap. Thank you Emma!

Concerning the word "harness," I often think of it when a horse is harnessed with the bridle truly allowing the rider to take control of the animal for his purposes and making it go in the direction we want to go. I always remained curious to find a teacher who could teach me English in a better way. After going through this lesson I took advantage of the learning from u and I am also able to make my dream come true. However, I have a suggestion for u to give two or more examples of learning word instead of one. And I hope u will harness our English learning ability through meaningful courses. I had some doubts about some words but through ur clarifications, I overcome my biggest hurdles. Thank u so much.

Hi Emma, as usual this is a quite interesting video and it will work for me to express myself more confidently. Just a little bit confusing the final word realise with "S". I've always written it with "z" like realized which means to be aware of something. Could you please go a little deeper to explain us if they have the same meaning, and also if there's any slight difference in pronouncing them. Thanks in advance Emma.

Obstacles make me stronger and help me to stand out from the rest of my peers. A couple of years ago I went through an ordeal of divorce and I initially found it hard to overcome, but gradually I not only did learn how to overcome this hurdle, but how to harnessed this challenge. What I experienced was really valuable and I think this was an opportunity given to me to enhance my life. When people come across a difficulty they play quite distinct roles. Some of them play a victim role and give up, whereas others, my self is included, harness the challenge and enjoy the opportunity and keep moving forward to accomplish their goals. Thanks for giving me these practical vocabularies please correct me if I’m wrong literally and figuratively. I mean in words or consepts🙏

Thank you! Thank you... I didn't know some of the words in this lesson! thank you for introducing them to my speech!
The time to overcome one of my biggest obstacles in the project to do puppies show in Australia has arrived. I didn't imagen how many challenges I will face throughout this project. One of the most important hurdles ( I have problems with the pronunciation of this word) will be to sound clear to littles ones, I have doubts about if they will following the history.
I seize this opportunity to become a flowing English speaker.
