    Yes - sounds good, alrighty, gladly, definitely
    No - possibly/probably not, not really, never

    What is interesting for me is that you use "Nah" for things u dont like or believe in, whereas in Persian "Nah" simply means "No" and we use it the most among other alternatives (like 100 times a day ;) ). Thanks Lucy for your extremely useful videoes.

    "Why not?" can be an alternative for "Yes".
    For example:
    A: Would you like to drink something?
    B: Why not?

    For yes, we Americans (USA) also sometimes say, definitely and, especially in the military, affirmative. Conversely, we sometimes say, negative (usually in the military) for no. Also, for yes, absolutely!

    Fun fact: In spanish, at least here in Venezuela, young female students use a lot the phrase "¡Eres un sol!" which is basically the spanish version of "You're a star!". I saw it and I was like "Oh, wow, I didn't expect that".
    PS: I love your videos! I'm actually just trying to improve my vocabulary because I consider myself already on my way to be fluent, but I love to see videos in english to learn new words and your pronunciation is so relaxing. I can say I love the british accent.

      It depends on how you say it Amandine, you are right, sometimes it can have negative connotations? Are you French? If so it's like"Ouaais, bon bah, ok' if said reluctantly

    Okay, which is being used In Hebrew also, has many alternatives in Hebrew. Every word that is acceptable as a single word answer for "How are you" is actually acceptable as an alternative for Okay in many cases.
    For example: "How are you? - Great" - "I'll call you back in a minute - Okay/Great". I think that it can work in english as well for some words: fine/great/terrific. And also (which not related to this rule) "no problem".
