The Chinook is a unique double rotor easy to fly RC helicopter. It handles similar to other coaxial helicopters by Syma but tends to need more "trim" correction. It flies slow so if you do fly it outside there must be no wind and plenty of shade. It does fly best inside and can be flown with another helicopter!

Great video, but the actual weight a Chinook can lift is a lot more than 8k. It's actually closer to 24k-26k depending on configuration. 8k is at a much higher altitude. Depending on temperature 8k is closer to 10-12,000 feet. Just helping out. Again, video is great and sold me on the helo

I've had my one since 2009...decided to dig it out after watching Night Flier's upload from the same year just a couple of week's ago.
Yes...it was recommended in March 2021...funny thing is...I've been subscribed to his channel since 2015.
Great little machine when it was working...i had to stick another battery in as the original has been dead since 2011 and i have yet to locate the TX.

Can someone explain the mechanics of this device? How does it move forward and turn??? I dont get how it works.

The helicopter moves up and down by increasing or decreasing all propeller speeds at the same rate. It rotates (as you said turn) by increasing the speed of two propellers that spin in the same direction ( the heli two sets of two propellers, each set has both propellers going in opposite directions, say the top one rotates clockwise and the bottom rotates counterclockwise). This causes one spin direction to be faster than the other therefore the heli spins in the opposite direction. The heli moves forward by increasing the speed of the set of propellers at the rear hence tipping the nose down and causing forward movement, opposite happens for backwards.

These really are fantastic value helicopters, and although the four main ones are all built around the same frameworks the Airwolf Sea King search and rescue is faster I also have all 5 there great and cheep enough to throw some paint and cammo them up
