there is a misconception that Joel saved Abby, which is only half true. the other half is Abby actually saved Joel and Tommy. And herself (spoiler)
because If you re-run the scenario without Joel saving Abby, you will see that Joel and Tommy were already surrounded by the zombie horde, without Abby they can't even escape the gondola station, not to mention they have no where to go in the blizzard.
the irony was if Abby did not rush in by herself, Joel and Tommy were already dead.

She just felt conflicted about the violence in the real world and then violence being used for entertainment. She also got very tired and upset after watching Ellie get stabbed so many times.
Azar Khan The game has been in the development process for YEARS, long before anything that is going on right now. Not to mention the fact that there is violence going on in the world CONSTANTLY and just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there. If she for whatever reason isn’t okay with violence being used as “entertainment” I have no clue why she decided to play a SURVIVAL GAME. That’s literally the entire point of the game.

ok Abby has no remorse. She’s just a blank sheet of paper making bad decisions. Also this is a Apocalypse. In that type of world you can technically say there are no good or bad people. It’s mostly about survival. Everyone at some point made a decision to kill someone for there own purposes.
I wouldn’t want to live in that world however you will face someone and make the choice to get rid of them or not if that meant keeping yourself and your people safe. I feel like people are missing the part where it’s a Apocalyptic game supposedly. I understand the message about the cycle of revenge but again it’s the Apocalypse. Not everyone will be nice and civil.

Anyone who has played the game *has* to give the full song a listen because the lyrics that Joel and Ellie never get to perfectly describe their relationship and all the emotions that they feel throughout the game

I think If they had let Ellie and Joel have their happy ending, and wrote the second one about completetly different characters without mentioning Joel and Ellie would have been better.
It's a gorgeous looking game, with a brilliant score and a brave and thought-provoking story.

ACKMOROUD that is not the reason I don’t like it, I don’t like it because of how they killed Joel for example, and that they made you play abby for 10 hours just to make you like even you already hated her, and then at the very end you just let her go, showing that the entire game was pointless. I think the game is terrible story wise, gameplay wise I love it but story wise it ruined the last of us story.

It's a good game I'm not going to throw shit at it, but a masterpiece is not, it really logically speaking has very serious errors in the internal narrative structure, and the external one is badly carried, a masterpiece is told something that has no errors this game does not It is a 10 at least not in terms of history, but if it is a good game with a good concept in terms of history but poorly managed, and it will sound exaggerated but I would have done it better, not everyone would have done it better with basic knowledge of Literature, because I really think the one who wrote the script just got out of school or it was an assignment they gave him to do in the summer

@Des we weren't falsely advertised, it's so obvious that Joel was part of her subconscious due to PTSD, everyone knew he was gonna die. She never looked at him when she was speaking and acted like he wasn't even there.
Also he wasnt spat on by someone who helped make the game, the actor for that character just looked similar.
Plus he was killed in that way to make you feel angrier and be more in Ellie's position

I've been thinking a lot about this. The outbreak started in 2013 and its 20 years later after his daughter is killed and its 9 years since end of first game. So logically is would be around 2042 or 2043.
Slightly annoyed you guys missed the PS3 with Uncharted 1 and 2 and Jak and Daxter in Ellie's home at the beginning of the game given how much you guys love to explore the environments lol

This whole playthrough is so special the way they hype each other up in the scary moments and Bryan gives Amelia emotional support hugs. Really was an amazing watch

I cannot believe how far the games development have come, its like living in a movie and all the emotions is so real that you feels everyway the character is feeling. The way I tear up when Joe was struck by that golf club is, its so hurtful to look at somebody you connected to so much in the first game get treated like that. Now I am not saying that what they've done to Joel is right but damn I feel hurt and my hatred rising in that moment, they must be doing something right.
Rewatching that scene never gets easier. I tend to avoid watching it but I just wanna see their reaction.

The one thing I love about both of you is that you are not homophobic and you support the LGBT+ community. That’s why I was not worried to see you play this. A lot of parents got mad when they found out about Ellie and Dina. I read a mom took the game away after she bought it for her kid and returned it to the store just because of Dina and Ellie. Ok. First off. This is rated M for mature. If her kid is anywhere below the age of 18, he or she absolutely cannot play this.
Second, that scene is way less graphic than the other scene we get in the game. Stating the facts here.
