return of the goat; I saw your first video when I was 14 in middle school; now I'm almost 30 and still wondered if this would ever continue. back then, no one cared about FE and it was amazing to see young me see such a well made retrospective for my favorite series. your work had a huge impact on me; thanks for all you do and for not giving up on the series!!
So a little behind the scenes trivia. I wasn't sure how to properly present this game's graphics. It's no secret that I use an emulator to record my footage. It's just easier for a game like Fire Emblem. The problem was that I've started uploading video in HD, but the game was in 480p. Years ago, my PC wasn't strong enough to run the emulation smoothly. When I finally got a good enough PC, I decided to crank the internal resolution to 1080p to make the game look better. It looks nice, except it's not truthful to how the game looked. I recorded some 1080p footage, but I started to have second thoughts. I even considered making this video in 480p. Then I remembered the DF Retro video on Metroid Prime. That was also a Gamecube game. They probably recorded it with real hardware ran through an upscaler. I can easily mimic that with the emulator. They were able to present the game's visuas more honestly. I took a while to decide on whether I wanted to delete all that footage and re-record everything. It was a lot of work down the drain. I eventually settled on presenting the game's graphics more honestly. I deleted everything and re-recorded all the footage.
Man, when I used to watch these videos, we weren't sure we'd ever get new Fire Emblem games, as the series went temporarily back to Japan only. Now there are several more to cover!
Been waiting on this one, happy it paid off. I do lie Path of Radiance but I prefer Radiant Dawn for one reason: I could play RD one handed with a vertical Wiimote

Good to see you back! Yours was the first real Fire Emblem retrospective I watched back when I first got into the series.

Its been so long.... i found these videos back in like 2014, would listen to them on my phone while grinding in sacred stones.
Oh hey, pleasant surprise to see this series revived again.
Once again, I have been genuinely hyped for this one for many years now. Thank you for continuing to make these videos!
Used to love these videos, glad the algorithm decided to reintroduce me tonight.
It’s been a million years. Glad you’re back.
@@Alvosploio 66.5 million years to be precise.

Worth the wait 😁
@@dagmus I wouldn't go that far.
Yippie!!
They were worried people would hate the Laguz, so they added Shinon to show they were still haters too.
Wow! Talk about a nickel in the way back machine. Has it been over a decade since the last retrospective?
No, the last one was in either 2016 or 2017.
