Sacramento Southern EMD SW8 Diesels | California State Railroad Museum

The Sacramento Southern Railroad uses former military EMD SW8 diesels as the main power for its excursion trains. One of these units, the 2030, is painted in Southern Pacific inspired two-tone gray, and matches the passenger fleet of the SSRR. The 2008 is in its original military colors and can also be found working with the 2030.

Nice! The "Central Pacific" train shed was also the locale for filming the "Japanese loco and cars" at the station for "Memoirs of a Geisha." I believe it was the Granite Rock 0-6-0 #10 dressed in appropriate color and lettering.
