Moscow has the most well planned and beautiful skyline..waiting for a over a dozen skyscrapers in next 2 years...
Warsaw is upgrading and developing quickly. Beautiful projects ,also nice designs
Frankfurt is upper class, well done .
London becoming a mess,not impressive to me.
Paris has a well done skyline but i think it could improve..
Milan,liverpool, Vilnius have beautiful examples of well planned skylines
London looks to be a mess for a reason. There's a cathedral (St. Paul's Cathedral) that has like 8 points set in various places around the city that you must be able to see it's dome from on a clear day. If that view would be blocked by a new building, either the developers have to build somewhere else or change the building's design to allow the view to be unobstructed. So a lot of developers have had you have their designs slope or taper off to the side to allow the view to be unobstructed.
There are also, like in many European cities, certain districts where skyscrapers are allowed. Most districts, especially the more historical ones have high-rise bans to preserve the aesthetic. Once a district fills up, you have to start building up another, and the district next door might not be on limits.
I'm all for preserving historic structures, and sky scrapers look weird in Europe 9 times out of 10 anyways to me. The Gherkin in London fits, but not so much with 22 Bishopgate.
Skyscrapers can look really good in places like NYC because they've already got over 100 years of building tall to their name, while Europe only started in the 50s and 60s at the earliest. But some NYC skyscrapers are garbage in my eyes.
One Liberty Plaza, I don't care for the boring design, but what really bugs me is that the Singer Building was removed for it. A masterpiece was destroyed for a bland monolith. I say give a building good form, or good detail. OLP has neither, and I'm easy to please with either.
You clearly haven't seen Birmingham mate! Also London's financial district looks gorgeous definitely one the most prettiest in Europe so far right next to Frankfurt imo.

1 Moscow, I am not convinced by this Asian kitsch, but the fact is that they have the most powerful skyline in Europe.
2 London, a huge agglomeration with medieval architecture in the center, and many great skyscrapers and skyscrapers existing, under construction and in plans. Simply the top league.
3 Stambul, much like London, they are going up power enormously
4 Paris, also a powerful agglomeration, but it does not grow as high as the above-mentioned
5 Frankfurt, Frankfurt has a very impressive skyline and lots of great projects. It is the financial center of Germany, however the city is small compared to the ones mentioned above.
6 Warsaw, Warsaw is climbing very dynamically and already has a pretty good panorama, and many great projects that will complete the panorama to a very impressive level.
7 Vienna, Rotterdam, both cities have a great and modern panorama. Until recently, I would have listed Rotterdam above, but Vienna has shown a huge claw recently and has a lot of great projects.
7 and Madrid, Madrid has a few taller skyscrapers than Rotterdam or Vienna, but overall few skyscrapers. But he also has his plans ...
8 Milan, the panorama of Milan is also impressive. Although there are not as many skyscrapers there as in the above-mentioned cities, it is impressive against the backdrop of the ancient city. And Milan also has its new projects ...

Warsaw is growing so fast.. My favourite city so far, Frankfurt is overrated in my opinion, yes the skyline is great but when you are in the city itself you hardly notice how tall the buildings are because they're cropped onto each other too much. Varso tower security are nutz though.

@@kermitfrosch6559fact that its said by someone from Germany makes that comment unreliable. How many cities outside of Germany have you been to? I've been to every skyscraper city in Europe and I would say the best city is either Istanbul or Warsaw.

@@usherto2813 Many things has been changed last years, I think Warsaw looks pretty cool now.
All cities are beautiful in their own way. However, I really appreciate the visual aspect. First of all, the combination of nature and building architecture and its diversity. Unfortunately, as you can see in Western cities, urbanization does not always mean something good. Everything is so uniform, blended together. So I'm sorry, but it's not about nationality, it's an objective opinion. I tried to see all the cities listed here from a drone. And from what you can see, the cities of Central and Eastern Europe are prettier, diverse and, above all, green.
My favorites are Tallinn, Bratislava, Prague, Kiev, Moscow and Warsaw.
I especially recommend viewing cities from a drone. I understand that people from Western Europe like to praise what is theirs, but what matters is the beauty of the landscape, the visual aspect, and not which city is the richest or the largest. Oh, and I don't understand what's happening to their rivers.
Anyway, as seen in the Slavs, the proximity of Western and Eastern culture gives a beautiful building mix. It is a pity that cities in Poland suffered so much during the war, especially our capital. Because yes, Warsaw would still be called the Paris of the East today. Greetings and health to everyone, bye.

Warsaw is much better than Frankfurt and the Winner. The Varso Tower (310 m) is the highest building in the European Union. Further Warsaw has the most skyscrapers in Europe. Currently 9 are under construction.
the most skyscrapers in europe are in Moscow then goes London, Frankfurt, Paris. Skyscrapers in Warsaw (accoring to wikiperia there are 15 of them) and they are not that tall..the tallest Varso Tower is only 236 meters+huge antenna.

I went on a business trip recently and counted 24, including two new buildings started.
Besides, There is something that distinguishes Warsaw over the whole of Europe. And All the architects from around the world said unambiguously: A multitude of styles of the buildings. From the old to the most modern.

Let's not get paranoid. Our Warsaw still has a slightly worse panorama than Frankfurt. We have many great projects, but Frankfurt has them too.

Im mexican and for me Moscow should be 1st, the tallest buildings in the continen are there, and also St Petersburg should be there it have a building that have arround 460m the biggest in Europe.

Frankfurt does not have a better skyline than London. It's not even as nice as Paris, let alone London. London has two major financial districts with very respectable skylines while it also has the likes of Stratford city, Nine Elms/Vauxhall, etc.
I might not be able to list the top 25 for Europe. But I think a solid top 5 would be London, Paris, Moscow, Istanbul and Warsaw.

@@nickandersson4165 Frankfurt had a time where Frankfurt was one of the most amazing skylines in Europe. But today Frankfurt has a old skyline and quite not so big and facinating as more citys in Europe. New Buildings and new futuristic style are rising up above the clouds in Paris, London and mostley Warsaw where the plans for the future is big. I know its not about the future, but where is the new highrise houses in Frankfurt. More cityes are comming alot more forward, mabye some people still think Frankfurt is at the top, but i am affraid that the time for Frankfurt is past as best skyline view. Mabye its sad, and i understand, but we also have to see the new creations and the new modern high rise buildings as it is. I was so facinated of Turning Torso in Malmø in Sweden, nice formed amazing architecture but today you will find buildings there is alot more futuristic and have a much more creative effect on the city. Frankfurt is old like many of the high rise houses in US and we have to reach the clouds even more and more, then come on Frankfurt you have to come with us, or its soon over and the past. Just how i see the way is right now.

Just in the last both years, 5 new skyscrapers were completed: Omniturm (190m), Grand Tower (180m), Marienturm (155m), One Forty West (145m), and WinX (110m). Currently 7 towers are under construction again and with Four, one of the most amazing and futuristic skyscraper developments (233m, 178m, 125m & 105m), Tower One (191m) and Spin Tower (128m) and Senckenberg Tower (106m). We also proposed further skyscrapers: Millennium Tower (260m + 150m) and FraSpa (206m), Das Präsidium (175m). What do you say now ?
@@nickandersson4165 Nothing, i just think Frankfurt is a ugly and old city to look at. Its not about the high and how many, its about the skyline view, its about beauty of the city, Frankfurt is cold and hard to look at. I say what i think and you say what you think, and its ok what you think but im not agree still. What i know of the development of Frankfurt do you know zero about, you do not know me,. But i think Frankfurt is cold dark and ugly. And nothing more. Say what you want, im not gonna change and dont care about this, all is ok, do you understand.
The Hague is the most unique
London skyline is truly overrated mostly because it's random like hell - elements don't match each other hence shapes and colours clash which makes it ugly mess as a whole.
Moscow has something Asian about its skyscrapers - I think of Shanghai when I see night shots of it.

Honestly as someone from girly we are lacking in tall building, although a lot are being built right now. But ain’t no way that was Liverpool’s skyline.
I would say above Liverpool but not above Manchester. Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK, but its skyline is so bad. Good thing they are starting to change that now. I can see the skyline from my college classrooms. Looks very good

@@wirfm whaaat? Moscow is several times ahead of Warsaw in number of skyscrapers and in height, even ahead of London. And it has 8 supertalls vs 0 in warsaw. Under construction buildings there are also much more in Moscow. @Concept. Inc this is ridiculous. warsaw is a village compared to moscow. these cities are in different leagues. As for the one who builds for show, this is Warsaw with its 80 meter unnecessary antenna-spiers to attract more attention. in Moscow they don't do such nonsense.
And secondly, Russia, unfortunately, even Moscow is building very ugly residential buildings, cheap and high, the so-called grassy houses, the equivalent of our buildings from the 60-70s, only here it is called new, greetings, the Russian mentality
In Poland, low-rise, elegant residential buildings made of good-quality materials are being built in Warsaw, I can provide you with a million examples, if Poland were not under Russian hands until the 90s, the second Germany would be calm
