Cutting tatami with a Han Jian from Cloudhammer Steelworks

  • In this video, I cut a couple of tatami mats with a Han Jian that was sent to me from Cloudhammer Steelworks for testing and review. This jian handles and cuts very well. It is assembled using the traditional method of pinning the pommel cap through the grip and tang for a secure construction.

    the blade type is functionally very similar to that of renaissance side swords or broadswords

    Wonder how it compares against the Flying Phoenix/Magnificent Chu, as it seems to be what this model is competing against
