Thanks Evelyn, Oft have I heard of sanctuary men; But sanctuary children ne'er till now. Amazing how many times the word sanctuary appears in Richard III
I'm really struggling to understand how and why people were so cruel in a time when Christianity was taken so seriously and played such a huge role in every part of life. An uncle to kill his nephews for power... horrible.
But did he? That’s what this video is about. The reason why we think that is from someone who wrote something that was never meant to be published, and he was a boy at the time this event happened. The truth is- we truly don’t know what happened.
@@EvelynEdwardsThere"s a very reasoned opinión from Antonia Fraser that said It was not Richard III the murderer but Henry VII. He put the blane over the children's uncle, so Richard become the villian of the story and not Henry, and, by the way, Henry could get rid of his rivals ti the throne. It was the perfecto move.
The most recent theory is that both princes were spirited away, from the tower, to the countryside. Edward, when older, moved to Europe, and his bro stayed in the country, living anonymously thereafter. If murdered, it wasn't Richard, but more likely their father. Too awful.
A tentação foi muito grande para Richard deixar passar. Seis anos como protetor!? Nunca. E ainda posso morrer. Mandem prender todos já! Coloquem na torre, eu vou cuidar dos meus sobrinhos pessoalmente! O resto é histórico!
Did King Charles grant DNA tests to be done on bones that were found in the tower? I thought I had heard that somewhere. 🤷♀️ That video was great. Thank you.
No. He hasn’t. I think what he has said has been misconstrued. He essentially said “wouldn’t it be nice for this to finally be resolved” which is a far cry from “let’s open up some tombs!!!” Thank you friend! 💚🏰🙏🏻
Even if DNA could be isolated (unlikely as the bones are badly contaminated) it wouldn't solve it as we still wouldn't know who killed them. If it proved it wasn't them, it wouldn't prove they survived.

@@EvelynEdwards Good point! I hope he didn't do it. Although all the historical films I've watched suggest he did.
@@leahs7024 right and unfortunately that’s because of all the reasons I mention in the video.
There is now evidence they survived Richard reign

Rivers had 2000 guys and there wasn’t a fight? Never trust your hunchback uncle. (Well, he had scoliosis.)
😂😂 the aside made me laugh.

I personally disagree. But that’s okay. I have a whole video that goes in to this in great detail on my feed.
I thought their bodies had been found in the tower?
Ohhhhh boy! I have a video All about that on my feed . Literally titled are the bodies they found in the tower REALLY the two princes?
@@EvelynEdwards I’m a newer follower so haven’t come across that one yet! I will snoops around for it

Pretty castle. I bet it was nice living in a castle. Looks like the king shouldn't have trusted his brother with his sons. Sad!
Well there are a whole bunch of different theories about Richard III and whether or not he WAS actually trustworthy. 💚🏰
En contraire, they were safe with Richard, Duke of Gloucester, later King Richard III.
I dont live far from here. I have no clue way I've never visited!
Whaaaaaat?!?! You must go immediately!! Ludlow is AMAZING!!

@@JRLARNER No bodies, no murder.
Simple .. the two boys were murdered by the uncle.
I have a video alllllll about why you think that. 😉
