That is reflected in our culture. Britain is undeniably 100% Northern European in culture, but with a Celtic twist. There's very little Latin/Southern European influence on British culture. In fact, I can't think of a single example of Latin/Southern European cultural influence. I know, you're going to say "but the Normans were French" - the Normans were not French, they were Scandanavians who lived in France. "Norman" literally means "North Man".
