8:03 I was dying when he said the baltic countries "Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia" going down even though if you went down through the baltic countries the correct order would be "Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania".
He got it right later when he was doing Belarus neighbors. He was grouping them together, anyway, and none had Rs. There's a decent chance he would have got it had one had an R.
4:23 I love how he gets an amazing guess but he thinks he lost, and he doesn't ever realize how good his guess was, lol. You have to guess states from the top 25, but you get more points the less "safe" the guess is. California is very safe, South Carolina is very risky, since it barely makes the top 25. The best answer would be the exact 25th most populated state, which would end the quiz with a maximum score.
Remember the quiz you did naming all the countries? Well imma do just that here we go! America, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Peru, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, The Bahamas, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Martinique, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, France, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Germany, Ireland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Andorra, Cyprus, Croatia, Albania, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Slovenia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, San Marino, Vatican City, Malta, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Seychelles, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Gabon, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Libya, Central African Republic, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Mali, Algeria, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, Ghana, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote O’Ivoire (Ivory Coast,) Libera, Cameroon, Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar,(Burma) Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, Palau, Samoa, Philippines, Indonesia, Timor-Leste (East Timor) Singapore, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Guam, Northern Marina Islands, and maybe Tunisia. (Any others I missed?) Edit: I spent 27 minutes doing this and I get nothing I guess it’s not important :(
There are only two countries that start with "A" but don't end with "A". That fact drove me nuts last week. I could only think of one. Until I Googled it - then I got it. :)
So the 'r' in the name is wrong right? If we say the UK is a country as well as a union the the only reason it wouldn't have an 'r' is that you aren't saying the full name. 'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,' I'd say that has a few of them and conversely if you separate out the constitute states/countries then as the stand, 'Northern Ireland' neither of these options was recognised by the quiz in naming or map shading, seems a bit of an oversight to me.
There were a few slightly dubious ones like that, such as the United States being an answer for ending with s, even though the United States of America ends with an a.
Not an oversight, it's the standard for sporcle, you don't say DPRK for North Korea, United States of Mexico for Mexico or Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Afghanistan, Sporcle Standard is the official shortened names of the Countries, hence United Kingdom, United States and Czechia (to point out the ones mentioned it your replies). As someone whose made a fair share of sporcle quizzes users get mad if you do anything else (assuming the theme is not full names)

Based on the thumbnail, I thought he was doing US Cities that end in O. He did not in this video, so I tried it myself. I assume Jack tried it in a different video and scored under 5. It was difficult. I only managed 21 of 30. It helps that I live in Texas and nailed 7 of their 8. I missed the last one which has a population just under 100k according to the 2020 census, 2022, and 2023 estimates. I knew it was under, too. I'm annoyed I missed only Tonga in the 25 least populated countries. I thought I tried it right after Samoa, but I missed it.
i got the second quiz 100% just by doing the famous ones, writing alabama which was 24 and then i guessed 25 as louisiana. im so in shock I COMPLETELY GUESSED THOSE
6:39 Morocco was a decent guess here because both of those are city names of Muslim origin, so maybe you had some good intuition there. In this case they happen to be in India though, names dating from the period of Muslim majority Mughal rule.
