Our Council run TU2CU ( Team Up To Clean Up) a successful volunteer led LP scheme. Also if you have heard of Paws on Plastic- encouraging dog owners to LP when on their daily dog walks. I really enjoyed reading your book and found it very inspiring. I came to this video through your newsletter email. I plan to retire in a few months and one of my coping mechanisms will be to try and get out and do a regular litter pick on the busy coast road that I usually walk to work along.
Alistar! You need a good pair of gloves for the job...In my local spot on Vancouver Island In Canada, we are getting rid of Scottish Broom that wants to take over every native plant that tries to live.... take care and have a grand spring!!! Cheers!!
Amazing, thanks for raising awareness. I’m lucky enough to work close to a beach and collect litter every lunch break. My family and I always pick up litter when we go for walks. I always wonder why people visit beautiful natural locations to then drop their litter and spoil it. It’s great to see other people trying to clean up also.
I was lucky enough to spend some time in the woods this morning. I'm happy to report 1) Only 2 minor bramble attacks and 2) there was hardly any trash to be found. I was able to remove 2 mylar balloons however. The spring is an especially nice time to be outside.
