    Nice video! Perfect flow of detail, excellent visuals. I love how you cut a fuel tank in half so you could see inside what was going on with the clunk. I'm new to fuel planes, and am actually converting an electric back to nitro. My friends are all like "wrong way Dave!", but I love it anyway. This video was exactly what I needed!

      It's good to hear that my videos are being of help. Thanks for writing!
      PS, there are precious few real "wrong ways" to do things in RC flying. Be safe first and after that it is pretty much up to what you want to do.

    Great video! I follow all of your how to videos! Thanks! I used your cowl cutting video to cut the cowl on my Valiant. It turned out great! Thanks again!

      Bigtime! I watch all of your videos and so do my buddies at my field. We're in Southern Cal near Irvine Lake.

    You get to see how good you are with a dead stick... Three out of four were pretty good... Yeah, I'll be redoing my tank. Thanks :)

    Thanks, I have a 2003 ultra stick I bought built with a OS 46fx and never flown. I don't know how the guy plumbed and secured the tank. I'm pretty sure it's half assed. I'm going to have to cut the top of the fuselage to figure it out. Guess that's what happens when a brand new guy buys another guys build that's getting out of the hobby. 🛩️

    I don’t see how running the vent line around the outside of the tank before going down prevents siphoning

      You just need to have most of the line above the tank. Running it around the top of the tank is just easier and cleaner in terms of plumbing.

    you have two fuel line on carburator?

    • @flyingrcdotnet
      @flyingrcdotnet  2 роки тому

      Nope, one fuel line to the carb. Some carbs, like the one in the video have a vaccum from someplace on the engine to the carb to operate the internal fuel pump. One the tank there is one fill line, one vent line and the fuel line to the carb.

    Very nice video but you also need to barb the fuel line so it won't come off

      In the final assembly all lines get ties to secure them. In now 30+ years I've never had one come loose once cinched down good with a tie wrap.
