    Hello Bhavan, Thank you for creating this video. I just bought a Good V860iii, a Good xPro wireless trigger, bracket, and stand. I have no idea how to use any of this. In 2 days, I will have to use this equipment. Having seen several videos, I like yours in particular. I appreciate that you speak s
    lowly and make the audience follow you by showing the screen of the flash up close. (At the end you are going a bit faster and the screen has gotten a bit far... It would be good to show the screen of the device closer--as you did in the beginning.) Your video is definitely one of the better ones. Thank you

      Not sure what your specific issue could be. But yes depending on how you are using your flash (stand alone, master, slave), there is an option to not fire the flash even though it may be on. Or it could be a battery issue or malfunctioning of the flash itself

    • @hibhaven

      hi @Rmc Shekhar, I haven't used Yongnuo speed lites in the combination you mentioned above, but. I assume you can't trigger it as they belong to separate brands. What's the difference of shooting in ETTL mode or manual mode? Is there any advantage or disadvantages of these modes over each other

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  5 років тому

      Yes, there is a big difference between the two modes, in terms of the amount of control you get on the flash power that is output. Though there is no right or wrong, both have their own advantages depending on the situation in which you are shooting.

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  4 роки тому

      hi Andre, I don't think you can use this flash to directly fire a Canon flash, as they are of different brands and cannot communicate with each other. However, you can use a Godox receiver and attach it under the Canon flash, this way, it will communicate with the Godox trigger or Godox flash.

    AF assist beam isnt working on my Canon EOS R. any thoughts?

    • @michaelscoots
      @michaelscoots 6 років тому

      The manual for the 860 says that it comes on automatically only when in low light - when needed. I just bought the Flashpoint version for my Canon 1DX and it doesn't come on at all. Bummer because I was hoping to use it on camera for weddings as a bounce and or fill when needed and the transmitter for my off camera lights. Kind of a deal killer because many receptions are so low lit that it's often almost impossible to focus without an assist beam. The other option would be to use the godox transmitter with hot shoe mount for your Canon flash but you lose all TTL functions of the flash and the connection doesn't feel like it would last.

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  5 років тому

      Yes, this is a bit tricky to understand. And depends on whether you are using on-camera flash, or using it as a trigger for off-camera flash. When using as on-camera flash: in ETTL - both FEB and RCS are available. in Manual only RCS will be available.
      If you want to use the flash as a trigger and use RCS, it is best to access it from the Camera menu by going into the flash settings.
      Note: FEB is applicable only to ETTL, logically it can't be used in Manual model.

    This flash can be used in canon 700d??

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  5 років тому

      Yes, this flash can be used with most Camera brands which have a hot shoe to mount it. Just ensure that you get the Canon compatible version of the flash.

    I use the Magmod sphere and bounce during events but the head of the 860ii does not lock and the head falls forward when I have magmod on it.
    Has anyone else come across this?

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  5 років тому

      Yes, this happens with me all the time, and probably happens with everyone else. The weight of the Magmod items is too heave for the flash to balance at an angle. Hence, I usually keep the flash only in upright or front facing positions whenever I add Magmod items to it.

    How to off the sound in flash

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  3 роки тому +1

      The beep sound is controlled from a custom function. When you see a Zm/C.Fn sign about the left button, press and hold the button for several seconds, until a custom menu comes up. There are various settings in here. Scroll down to where it says 'Beep', and here you can turn the sound on and off.

    is compatible canon t7?

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  3 роки тому

      I haven't personally used it on a Canon T7 (and guess Canon calls it different names in different countries), but it is best to check it out at a store before you make a purchase.

    Very Nice video but could you also explain the 'Multi' mode?

    • @hibhaven
      @hibhaven  4 роки тому

      hi Pranav, thank you for liking this video. Honestly, Though I do understand the multi-mode, I haven't actually used it in any shoot. But it should be easy for you to try it out and learn how to use it. All the best.

    This is the same flash as the Platinum. The Platinum is less expensive.
