    Great video, reference the grooved sections, surely that's only going to stop the sections moving when closed?.. But surely the reason the sections rattle or spin slightly is when the section is extended and lateral forces are being applied due to use, more a question for Richard Everingham?

    • @ChrisAddis
      @ChrisAddis  3 роки тому +2

      Ive noticed movement over time. The clamps on the poles that exist now can only be tightened so much. These new clamps allow you to tighten them more.
      The movement does happen when extended, yes. But the pressure happens all the time being able to tighten the sections more plus the grooves takes alot of the pressure off each clamp.
      I've made my thoughts clear to Richard he agrees with what I've said, but honestly some movement over time is to be expected, its a question of delaying it as wear and tear will eventually happen.

    Chris u have spoke to me your a great guy try the gardener stuff and tell me if I'm wrong as I know u will give an honest review there cheap poles are better than most good price stuff very well made even the cheap ones use a Gardner pole then you will get rid of the ones u have trust me remind s me of at school Dunlop trainers or rebok Dunlop make good tyres lol u know what I'm saying I know u know Ur stuff its coming from 20 years experience try Gardner there a different gravey even the cheap stuff

      They're good poles for sure. But due to their shape, they end up rotating and wear out faster. I've had to replace clips multiple times and experienced one of the sections developing a crack after around 3 months
      Ova 8 is lighter and more rigid. I do like the brushes on gardiner poles but for me ova-8 is better. But there's no wrong answers, it's all about preference.

      Thanks man. The jets are ova-8 pencil jets on hi flow. It's good for most things fgs or windows and doors.
      Massive fan of ova-8.

    Nice to see a kit review. I like the idea of the external hose loops for chemical hose, I think you are right about the pad. 1" narrower either side would better suite uk windows. Do you think you will have it long enough to see what happens to clamps with a bit of wear in them?

    • @ChrisAddis

      Not really if I'm honest. It felt more robust than the normal ova8 as first impressions. But it normally takes a couple of weeks of continuous use to find these things out.
      It felt like a better quality system and I'll be buying the new Clamps when thyre released.
      I have faith it'll be better than what's available now, but that's based on me having it for 2 days and throwing it around and being rough with it and it is only my opinion for what it's worth

      @@ChrisAddis Good to know clamps are interchangeable. I suppose they want to find any major issues as quick as poss so they can start production. Your opinion is worth loads as you are using the pole and can compare it to your past knowledge.

      Hi Chris. I believe that they have been amended.
      Richard the designer was telling me that they probably won't use the external rings as they're likley to break.
      If you call varitech systems in Devon and ask the question they'd be better placed to give you an answer my friend.
