You are such a genuine person and show a real interest in helping DJs. I’ve been playing for 30 years now and wish there would have been someone like you when I was getting started. Keep up the good work and thank you. 30years later and I’m still learning new tricks.
Hahaha! Tell me about it.. lived in a house with djs and naturally fell in love with it.. couldn’t get them to teach me a thing to save their life.. honestly I think they’re the ones that suffer being “too good”.. I’d meet some way better dj and he’d be exactly like this guy just like “yeah whataya wanna know?”.. It was funny after learning the basics apparently I was better then my housemates.. you could tell they were bitter and call me weird but i think it actually showed in their music hey.. love how he says his goal is to unite the crowd. So true.
Before even press play skip through the track to a loud part and match your gains (volume) levels. Do it every time you load a new track. Will improve your mixes and the sound ten fold. For me the idea of DJing is keeping it smooth and for people not to notice the transitions and the next track coming in. If one comes in a lot louder than the other already failed even if bpms are matched and in phrase if one track louder than other when hits it will throw people off and sound sh!t
I never realized how much better eq work during transitions sounds compared to using the line fader. I've always been aware of swapping out the bass but what you're teaching really does take mixing to another level!! Thanks for teaching me something new. You really are a great teacher and I wish I had you as my teacher back when I first started out. Can only imagine how much better I would be right now if so.
Thank you for all your support since finding my channel, I hope I see more of you around. I really appreciate all your positive comments, it means a lot to me - thank you :)
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Your welcome Andrew! I genuinely Love your channel and what you do for all djs new and old alike. The positive energy and love for DJ'ing that shine thru during your videos makes me smile. Looking forward to being apart of learning more from you and seeing your channel grow and getting the massive subscriber count you much deserve!! Cheers mate 🍻
Some really good videos so far. A real breath of fresh air compared to "some" of the other well known channels who are clearly just in it for the money, and try to milk it as much as they can.
I'll check out your course. I find your videos really good, I'm rebooting my career that I started 20 years ago and I'm re learning the digital age now.
Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Been searching for days and your vids are the first ones that make actual sense to me as a beginner. Keep up the great work and PLEASE keep the videos coming.
Absolutely amazing! Thanks so much for all these educational videos. I have had a huge musical background and have decided recently to try my hand at mixing ! I’ve bought a beginners deck and I’ve been watching many of your videos. You do such a terrific job and your positive vibes are absolutely inspiring! Thanks a bunch. I’m very much interested in possibly diving into your DJ classes.
I started about 20 yrs ago, on vinyl, stopped to sing in a band, that i still do today...Just recently got back into DJing. Anyway, You often say that you like to do eq work... That's the only way I know how to mix. I also mix with the cross fader still. Can't get a handle on the up fader mixing cuz it doesn't "feel" right, maybe a muscle memory thing... I'd love it if you listened to the mix i just posted, and get feedback from you! First mix in (like I said) about 20 yrs... There are a few hiccups, but I'll get there again! Love to hear back! Cheers
Your vids are great, I am over 40, always love music and just got a DJ mixer which I am loving it! I've been playing for hours on my spare time. Very good information mate, time is gold so great to learn from an expert. Greetings from Perth.
Love your videos, really helpful. My best buddy and myself do the eq mixing in and out. We think along the same lines as you, that it's better than fading a track out. Like you say, more control. Keep up the great work 👍
i love your vibe, always smiling etc, keep on ;) If i lived in Sydney or Australia I am sure I would buy your lessons but from middle of Europe with our currency and situation no money now :(
I love your way of teaching, your videos and courses as I've said many times. Reading the BPM from the screen is fine and can understand why dj's will do it nowadays with all the digital gear and creative skills to hand. My issue is there seems to be one part of the courses encouraging you to properly beatmatch but a lot of the course is still being taught by skipping the tempo by ear part out? Why is it that newbies get taught this way? Isn't it more beneficial to show the full beatmatching process being used instead of reading the bpm's throughout the other course sections? This seems to happen with all the different dj teaching schools so it's not confined to just one
You are awesome! I bought my ddj 400 2 months ago and i can play a full set of 2 hours without sync, to be honest sync is really borring through, ive been uploading sets on my channel but those sets are far below of whats coming, working on it everyday verry hard! i really love to dj! Thank you for sharing alot of helpfull tips!

Great content. Will have a closer Look on the course section of your Page. Would love, if you would Post the track ids of your played Songs in the Video description. Especially the track at Minute 4:10 i am very interested in.

How can i see the camelot key of the tracks on the CDJ900 nexus? What I have to do on rekorbox to appear like camelot keys? Thanks in advance!!

@@ClubReadyDJSchool Awesome to hear! Mostly because you're really good at explaining this stuff and it seems a lot of councils around Australia, especially in regional areas, are hell bent on destroying all forms of entertainment besides gambling so it seems pretty soon house parties are going to be the only option. It just really seems like a good opportunity to be holding workshops. Also, If you ever get to the northern part of New South Wales it'd be awesome to see your work.

The course is beyond worth it...it took me from being a beginner to being club ready in honestly about 2-3 weeks of studying. I would easily pay over $500 for the course, unlike most courses and tutorials on youtube from people at the "semi-pro" level, Andrew teaches at a true professional level which I have not found available anywhere else.
@@sexatica Andrew teaches the theory and framework for mixing. It applies to most mixers and in his course he also has a section that shows how to use a vast array of different setups from small controllers to club gear.
great video! I’m currently trying out djing and had difficulty on song selection. Is it a must to follow the same ‘keys’ or select a song of a similar BPM for the next song? thank you! 🙂
You could drop mix a song that’s way off the bpm of the one that’s playing, however for a slower smoother transition it’s best to keep them fairly the same. You could tempo match if it’s maybe 2 bpm out but anything more and you’ll notice a significant change in any vocals etc
