Had my first headliner gig last Saturday. Man, if it wasn't for your youtube channel I would probably never got it and even if I did I would train wreck in the first 20 min for sure. Just wanted to give you a big shout out and a huge thank you for putting all this amazing content. Also, even though the music I had to play is not my favorite (commercial, old hits and disco), seeing people cheering, smiling and dancing is just something else and maybe even spiritual in a way no matter what music is playing. Again, HUGE thank you Andrew, you are THE MAN.
@@ClubReadyDJSchool I just want to say thanks for the videos I've learned so much from you it's crazy, your the best🙌

Thank you for being so transperant with your techniques. ❤️
Learned that filter transition hide in your course and love it. It’s fun, looks cool, and sounds great. I do it a couple times per set on higher energy shows.
Love it. That last example lined up seriously well at the drop after the vocal
Man, I love how happy djing makes you. You're upbeat attitude and knowledge is really refreshing. Seeing you hit a mix that makes you happy is just a pleasure to watch. I'm picking up the decks again after about a decade, and was wanting to get a refresher on a lot I forgot and mostly for all the new software and controllers I've never used. Picked up a ddj-800 a week ago and have put a lot of your teachings to good use. Thanks Andrew, for all you do to keep this channel fun and informative 🤘🔥
Your work is amazing and the TON of DJ tips you give to us are fabulous.
I really love the second filter technique for those breakdowns with no beat in order to not loose energy on the dancefloor..
I myself have seen that on my partners gigs every single time..
Loved this video, given me loads of inspiration to get back into my DJing, thanks
Another great vid andrew! ❤️
Thanks so much Andrew I'll try these out at my next gig. I had played around with some FX before but this helped me understand what I could actually do with them - thanks bro! 👊
Awesome content as usual man!
This was great man, thank you!
Great little demo man, thank you!!!
Great DJ and excellent tutorial in comparison to others that are available. Thank you!
Great vid as always!! Thanks!!
Hi, i was practicing your filter techniques last nite and works super, thanks for the advice and for share your experiences with Us. Regards.
That’s was really cool thanks for sharing
Thank you for the valuable information.
Really helped me out as I’m just beginning!!
I would not expect rabbit hole track sounds so good with ben bohmer track, great examples Andrew!
Really loved the video! Thank you very much! It was really cool to see you teaching on a more affordable controller. That really helps people that are just starting to learn DJing.
Your channel is so underrated! You are so genuine in how you present everything....Sick techniques!
I use highpass with echo in combination. One thing I dont like though. Is when guys are in a break and they over use the highpass and the track disappears. It makes me want to put a missing person's report out on the now missing track.
My mind has just been re blown 🎉😂
This is incredible !!!! I can’t wait to purchase the course . Is just I can’t get to it cuz I’m here watching all this videos lolol ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lots of great tips! Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge! Keep up the good work bud!
Outstanding video, easy viewing and very informative 👍
Love it!
When you know every songs use in this video, what a pleasure... Thanx as always mate !
Great content!
I do use the DDJ400 myself and i saw you do this trick. Instead of use both filter knobs, you could assign the filter on the effect knob and put the slider to master. Now you could do the filter effect with only 1 know and only by clicking once on the blue button underneath the effect knob. Hope you know what i mean. Thanks for the awesome tutorials. You are awesome!
Top video again 👌🏻👌🏻🔥🔥
Low pass filter in with the loop is fire...
I do djing for 6 years but I love your really good teaching in various ways and your real love for music and dj mixing. Best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪
great tutorial thank you
Thank you
that last filter trick, hidding the transition..:O
Filter mixing on the XONE DB4 sounds really good.
Thank you for teaching me this helpfull stuff, I really enjoy your video’s🙏🏻👌🏻
awesome tutorial
God bless you coz I know to mix with filter I practised it and now I feel like wah 😅🙏😅🙏🙏❤️
i've always been afraid of the filter knob because it seems too easy to accidentally leave it off-center when you meant for it to be center (off). I usually just use the EQ knobs instead, even though its not really the same.
My techniques in build ups hpf until 8000 Hz
and breakdowns take the sub bass of incoming track 20 Hz frequency until 300 Hz
These techniques give energy to the audience
I sometimes use filter to match keys better if I'm not mixing in key. Someone trained in music will probably say the key doesn't change but I just trust my ears and it does seem to sound better.
Nice video!
Andrew, which BERINGER Speaker is that in your Studio? Im looking at Beringer speakers because its what you use.
I watched one of your videos last night and you was talking about eq mixing and you mentioned how you was out somewhere and you heard someone mixing in the high and it sounded bad..as you need to listen to the track..but i want to watch it again but i don’t remember which one it was lol..
This is a very useful video. I did my first play (Tech/House) at a party ten days ago and the HPF saved my life a few times when changing the key or even the BPM. However, you have to be careful not to overdo it, also the resonance effect of the HPF can be too much at times - luckily you can adjust that on the 900nxs2. I find it quite boring when BPM and key are almost the same during the whole set. So I am still interested in (more) good techniques how to change either of them without transition sounding too hard.
IMO Nothing wrong with hard transitions occasionally. Let the people know you are playing a new track! blending in key to much can be monotonous to the ears! just my two cents :)
boss!
I've only been doing this a few months and tbh I LOVE low pass filter for my transitions. I play a lot of freeform bass and dubstep and it creates a cool effect. Especially with drop DJ technique.
With the breakdown technique does the backing drum pattern need to be in key? Great video btw!
Sometimes I’m feeling like I’m using loop too much, anyway I need more practice. You really inspire me to continue. ❤️
Hey, how do you make drops meet at precisely the same time like @15:35 ? It would help a lot, thx :))
That's phrasing!! You should check out my courses as I have phrasing conditioning exercises that make phrasing second nature :) www.clubreadydjschool.com/club-ready-dj-course/
Hey guys I need to buy my dream controller the DDJ 800 I have the money but there is no more in stock, I cannot find it anywhere, is anybody has it and willing to sell it? 😥❤🙏🏼
I like using the Low-pass-filter when the exiting Song has alot highs and mids in it. It sounds terrible using the High-pass-filter then.
The sound would come tooo high.
But yeah, the HPF ist verry nice to emphasize the 1. :-)
@@ZeeykRS yeah sure. That's the other option.
But sometimes the LPF is the choice of my mood. 😁
The only things i havent mastered nicely, is 3 deck mixing, i am still practicing. Secondly i struggle with moving my body when mixing lol, i cannot dance properly, i look like a moving stick
This video is awesome but most of the these tutoriol videos about filters are about "how to use filter when u make transitions"
Arent there any videos explain that how to use those filters middle of the track according to their place and bmp.?
@@ClubReadyDJSchool it would be great when u explain filters like “echo” or “reverb” how it has to be their deepth and bpm :)
thanx a lot
the biggest problem i have as a 1/10 beginner is , how do i know how many "bars beats" are left to the drop ? is it just experience?
I don’t know if you have found the answer already, but in the olden days people would just count. Now most software will show the number of beats.
1:35 No DnB mentioned... I feel left out 🤣👌🏼
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Maaaaate, some of your sets I honestly think DnB is what gets you going! Nice little garage set too btw 😉.
Seeing your DnB clips really tempts me to jump on your DJ course mate 🤣👌🏼
As a friendly Aussie I'd like to support the locals, and your energy and positivety is what makes it man!
Keep those vibes going, and I reckon I'll be jumping on board sooner than later. Just don't know if I should upgrade to a 4 chn ddj1000 from my ddj400 or to hold off....😉
@@BB-pf2cs It really comes down to wether or not you wish to use 4 decks. My latest course was built with the DDJ400 and there's a video on using sampler like a 3rd deck and so much more :) Apprecaste your support, you're the man!!!! www.clubreadydjschool.com/controller-to-club/
This is what I don't get...I can tell when a new phrase is about to begin.... But I can't tell when it's 2 bars before.....or 4 bars before. Are you guys counting bars the whole time ?
I know from teaching thousands of student phrasing and the mixing process needs to be conditioned so you're not thinking and you feel. Stop waisting time haha: www.clubreadydjschool.com/club-ready-dj-course/
I can give you one advice. Don't let your sound hit the red limiter.
it would be handy if when demoing effects you could stop talking so we could actually hear the demo
You really are an amazing teacher and pro mixer, but if i may give some constructive feedback, your videos are perfect but they are too long/dragged out for my ADHD generation. (wish you would make them shorter)
